My Shoal Bass Replica - Wow! Shipping This Week
I think replicas are the best way to go like I said earlier unless you catch that big one and it dies on you. Butile you said and I did a replica will never be the exact representation of your fish only exact thing will be the length and girth. Those pics you posted all look good was that the Jacksonville guy or you just having him do the Shoal and your 10+ largemouth? Check these ones out, to me they could pass as skin. He has a 16lb 7oz and 10lb 8oz largemouth and a 11.5" bluegill

My Shoal Bass Replica - Wow! Shipping This Week
You have 6 I have none (when I read that I literally laughed sounds like something I use to hear when I was a child kinda like the line you are not invited to my birthday party lol) but when I get my one I would want an accurate representation, either skin (if fish died) or replica, of the fish I caught. Not saying you did this But if someone was like I like this color from google image 1305, and these fins from google image 1402, and this jaw structure from google image 478. That's what the fish I caught should have looked like that's not a replica of the fish caught just a replica of the ultimate representation of that species according to that person creating it. But I think, could be reading this wrong again lol, you were going for a replica of a Shoal Bass probably with the same size & measurements oppose to the actual fish you caught itself.

My Shoal Bass Replica - Wow! Shipping This Week
Still never posted your original pics and we all know you are the pic man lol. It's a composite fish, doesn't that defeat the purpose of getting a mount? I mean I don't have a mount but if I did I would want it to be an exact replica of my fish I caught not a composite of what I felt it should have looked like, idk I might be taking your comment wrong so don't take this the wrong way. I wasn't saying he is bad at largemouth replicas I just saw some that looked like cartoon fish and saw others that look very good and realistic, who knows those cartoon looking fish could have been spot on and the fish just looked like that. I have seen his other species and they look amazing this guy definitely has a gift. Can't wait to see the replicas he made you I'm sure they will look really good.

Crawfish Patterned Crankbaits
Me andmy buddy kill the largemouth bass here in FL on craw colored crank baits at spots that hold crawfish. We are mainly throwing the KVD 1.5s. I just ordered a River 2 Sea crankbait in craw color going to test that out this weekend.

My Shoal Bass Replica - Wow! Shipping This Week
Yea id like to see the original pic with a pic of the replica. I found out about this guy a few months back and was curious about his work, I followed him on FB. His replicas are up and down seen some I really liked and also seen some I was questioning, mainly his largemouth replicas. But I like this one a lot, just curious to see how accurately he portrayed the actual fish.

Damiki Air Frogs & Craws
Has anyone used these before? I bought a pack of the air frogs for myself and my two buddies from TW last week for this past weekend. Fish weren't hitting too water so I didn't get a chance to really throw it. Stopped at a pond before dark and threw it for a few casts. They have good action and the frog always lands up right so that's a plus, very versitile bait it seems like. My question for those who have used them what hook do you use to rig it? I am using the owner screw hooks size 6 but it seems like there isn't enough room to get a good hook set when using them, I could be wrong because like I said barley threw it and didn't get any strikes. Also the bait monkey got me again just spent a other $70 on more baits for my all weekend fishing trip Friday. I purchased Damiki Air Craws and was curious if anyone has used them and same thing what hooks to use to rig them. Thanks for any input

Where's Your Old Lady???
My girlfriend loves to fish with me. Havent been out with her in a while since my buddy got his boat, and he is jealous lol. But when we go out I always have my fishing stuff with me and I will ask her if we can stop and fish. BIG mistake because I always throw out the first cast then she takes over and makes me play with our son lol. I can't argue since I always go out on the weekends fishing before or after spending some time with them, so she holds that over my head when I try to take the rod back lol. I cant wait until my son is old enough and I drop that money on a nice bass boat so we can all go fishing as a family, Sarah is onboard with that so I have just been saving money and counting down the days!!!

Larger Body Of Water, Bigger Bass?
Yea those are massive bodies of water so its not a factor if you think about it the fish have ample room to move around oppose to a pond or small lake where they are restricted to a certain area. I am going off experience though because I fished this one pond, not lake, and use to pull big fish out left and right and never saw people fishing it. Then I noticed trASH, lure packaging, line, lost lures etc and the fishing has be bad to say the least. This spot has limited bank access but fortunately my buddy has a boat. Where do you think a majority of our fish come from? The opposite side from the bank where you can not fish unless you are in some type of floatation device.

Yup, Got My Mojo Back
Nice catch

Larger Body Of Water, Bigger Bass?
It depends on age of the body of water IMO. But it works both ways my buddy from Atlanta pulled a 13.10lb, also pulled out a few 8s and 6-7s, bass out of a massive lake right outside of a graveyard, you can only get to it from the graveyard and it's surrounded by trees so it never gets fished for that reason. Then my buddy from here in Jacksonville pulled his 13lb bass out of a pond a little bigger than an Olympic sized pool. So I think it is more so how long the body of water has been there and how much fishing pressure it gets. Both spots these 13s were caught out of no one fishes, the Atlanta spot because of location and the Jacksonville spot because it looks like a big puddle lol. But I mean there's no doubt that a large lake will have more bigger bass simply because there is more room but those trophy fish can cd from small ponds that don't even look like they could yield something like that

Is Bass Pros Spring Sale In Store Only?
It's a shame me and my buddy took our family to downtown Disney last weekend and stopped at Bass Pro on our way back to Jacksonville. Figured the sale is this week I was joking with him last weekend that we should have pushed our trip back a week but our son's happiness comes before our own... I hope my fiancé see this post somehow. I may leave this open on my phone lol

I have 3 Abu reels (Revo 3 STX, Silvermax, and Orra spinning reel) love them all... Just learning to use the baitcasters starting with my Silvermax then will break out the Revo during frog season. Haven't used any abu rods though but I always hear good things about the Veritas

Topwater Not Working?
It's all about timings when fishing topwater especially here in FL, that's what I have learned. Certain spots will become active at different times when fishing top water. The key is just to switch it up, as far as lures and technique goes, and look for indicators that they are hitting top water (water temp, air temp, activity in the water, etc)
