  1. I use them and have caught some nice fish and I hooked into 2 monster fish on them. When I fish with my girlfriend she likes to use these a lot. I use a yo yo technique and a steady retrieve when fishing them. They catch fish and are durable good inexpensive way to start if you are getting into swim bait fishing
  2. Nice pics & fish! I see you had your son with you for atleast one of your trips. My son is about to be 2 in June I can't wait til he is old enough to go fishing with me and really understand it. He knows what a bass is, can identify it when. I show him a pic but then again he prob thinks all fish are bass at this stage lol. Again nice fish and pics, what where you catchin em on?

Yea I use 4/0 EWG hooks for some of my worms and use 4/0 or 5/0 offset hooks when I am Texas rigging (the 5/0 for my bigger senkos and lizards) When I am fishing big worms like 10"- 12" I use a bigger hook 6/0 or 7/0. I bank fish a lot as well so I generally bring just what I am going to use at that spot, leave the rest in my car, so I am traveling light... Sometimes that backfires like yesterday when I was at a frog spot and saw a big female on a bed I had nothing to entice her with cuz I left it behind.
  4. Yea you can put braid on basically any reel. I have it spooled on couple of my spinning reels, higher end ones, and am going to get it spooled on my baitcaster once I get more comfortable with it, I am urgently using a Abu Garcia silver max. I use 30# power pro and yesterday spooled up 30# power pro super slick. I have used the super slick before and not until yesterday I was a believer with its caring distance when my buddy was basically throwing it the whole football field while I was barely getting it past the 50yd line lol.
  5. I'm not sure how much of a factor it has but I always clean off my lures. When ishing cranks and stiff like that I feel it takes away from the action but that being said if a bass wants the lure it's gonna take it regardless of how it looks
  6. watch out u might get pregnant lol
  7. Boaters have priority they paid more for their equipment lol
  8. Under 5, punching the camera makes fish look a lot bigger... Long fish tho
  9. Haven't done if but thought about doing it. I mainly throw squarebills so depths are generally the same. I have a few deep diving cranks that I have no idea what the depths are so I wish I didn't it with them.
  10. Nice fish Mitch, I'm heading back to NJ to visit friends and family in the next couple weeks I hope to get some fishing in while I'm there
  11. I look at my pics after a good day fishing and post them to my Instagram (FISHtagram) page. But to me I would rather have a couple big fish then catching a ton of smaller fish
  12. Very nice fish congrats
  13. Hollow Body: Stanley Top Toad (soft plastic type with paddle tails) Booyah Poppin Pad Crusher (has a pop'r style and can be fished that way or with a walking style) Solid Body: Stanley Ribbit Get you some braided line, I use 30# power pro
  14. When it starts to slide down the hook or when it doesn't resemble a Texas rig it's time to go onto the next one... I am real OCD about mine so it takes a hit on my pockets!! Fortunately frog and crank season is here in Jacksonville so my pockets can get a little fatter
  15. Man that's a HAWG, congrats

  18. definitely a honey hole for sure! Nice fish and footage looked like fun on the ultra light set up
  19. Hey atleast the trip wasn't wasted and you caught something... Gettig skunked is never fun you avoided that
  20. Nice fish I am not a jig man but I know they catch HAWGS but I am a frog-a-holic... Nice fish
  21. Congrats on you new PB!! I almost had mine, or close to it, today on a frog. GOing back tomorrow afternoon gonna try at her again!
  22. As somebody said different conditions/situations call for different colors. General rule I tend to do is "match the hatch" try to get colors similar to the type of frogs you see at your local waters. But then again I have never seen a black frog and that is my go to frog color, when fishing my soft plastic frogs.
  23. Rage Craws BY FAR!!! All day everyday and twice on Sundays
