  1. Man what a trip I plan on taking the Baccarac trip with my girlfriend, by then she will be my wife, in the next 2 years... I am putting it off mainly for the fact that I want to stick my own double digit bass here in FL, or GA when I visit my buddy's honey hole, before I have a field day in Mexico! Plan on going once with her and then another trip when our 2yr old son gets older, can't wait for that have a little family fish off lol
  2. Get a Quantum Smoke reel I love mine! It's light weight and can pull in those big girls with ease. I have the SL 25 PTI and I had the 30 too but sold that to my buddy. Like I said you will not be disappointed in this reel great reel for $160.
  3. Yea I like Abu Garcia reels I have the gen3 Revo SX & STX love em both. I use my SX mainly caught a 6lb 6oz bass this morning on a lunker frog
  4. Strike King squarebills I will rep til the day I die, unless another sponser comes along lol. But I love these cranks very good variety of colors, great action, and I have caught tons of quality fish on them... Very durable bait I have had no problems with them except for my hands getting tired removing fish from the hooks
  5. For me it's frog over everything. Pop'r have their times though, my third biggest fish came on a pop'r at the end of 2013 for a week straight me and my buddies were tearing em up at this one spot we all set our PB within days of eachother all on a pop'r. Booyah makes a poppin frog and so does River2Sea, check them out they can e very effective.
  6. Senko style... Since soft plastic style frogs seen there

Nice fish!! I love catching big girls on frogs especially when you set your PB!! Mine came a few weeks ago on a LH LUNKER Frog
  8. Amazing fish man!! Man I can't wait to do some smallie fishing when my buddy gets settled in his move to MN... Smallies and some pike
  9. I throw top water all day everyday no matter what time or weather conditions. No matter what day of the week, weekends, holidays, it doesn't matter. The big aggressive fish, if they are in the area it drives them wild... Majority of my fishing is done at a spot that is covered in top vegetation so it provides cover that's why the big girls get caught no matter the time or conditions
  10. I have a Revo SX and it is spooled with braid. I starters with super slick power pro then ran out of line, thought I had more than I did, so I tied regular power pro to it and continued to spool. You do not need a mono backing when using braid on a baitcast, to my understanding. One thing I would say is to take off some line don't fill the spool. I had problems with mine when I first put braid on it and my buddy told me it was due to too much line on the reel. Took some off and never had a problem ever since. I have 30# on mine but I am going to switch to 50 next time I need to respool (haven't had any problems with 30# yet though)
  11. 8.1 on a *** LUNKER frog few weeks ago. But more recent would be the 7.2 I caught on a 6.5" kut tail worm 2 days ago. The 8.1 came on a botched cast that landed on land on top of a culvert. Dropped down into the water and then an explosion ensued and the fight was on! Was using my favorite reel my Revo SX
  12. Man I am still waiting on mine, hooked a couple but never landed any! Enjoyed reading these great stories... Will revisit this in the future (thought I had one few weeks ago but she went 8.1 and was spawned out wish I caught her before to see what she weighed then)
  13. I understand some people need to fish to eat but I can't stand it when I see people taking a big bass!!! Take all the dinks you want weed em out, and I have heard that the big ones aren't good to eat the small ones are. I have had people ask me if I keep my fish I say no and they ask me why not. I tell them I am fishing for sport not food I take a picture of the big ones so I can put them on my Facebook and Instagram and throw them back to be caught another day. I got this guy on my Facebook who ABSOLUTLY disgusts me!!! He keeps ALL his fish can't tell you how many trophy fish he posts and then later you see them in his cooler when he posts his final day pics! He has to be breaking some sort of Florida fishing rule idk he even went as far as to take a road trip to NC with a bunch of coolers and hit up spots on the way there and back and came home with, don't remember actual #, a bunch of coolers PACKED with bass. Turns out he sells them to people around his neighborhood. If there's anyone who wants to "investigate this" like they did to that golf course kid feel free to PM me, add him as a friend and you will be as disgusted as I am
  14. Beast fish Speed congrats!! I recently broke the 8# mark too 2 weeks ago but that's in FL a PA 8, in your case almost 9, is WAY more impressive Congrats again on the new PB
  15. This is a good question might be better when I am alone but I like fishing with my buddies it makes it more enjoyable sharing laughs, stories, sports, trash talk (#1 element to a good fishing partner lol), etc. Another thing this is I don't mind getting skunked if my buddy is catching fish.
  16. Can't even remember the last time I bought a magazine or even looked at a magazine rack, lol. But I have been subscribed to B.A.S.S for most a year and took advantage of a renew offer where they gave me 4 free baits, BASS exclusive colors they say. They arrived today I got a Smithwick Suspending Rogue - haint, Rebel Pop'r - spilled ink, XCalibur Square Lip - brownie, and a Booyah Pad Crasher - bass patch... All those baits and another year of BASS for $12 that's a pretty good deal if you ask me.
  17. That's definitely HAWG certified man!
  18. I'll add to this I have also seen the light as well! Had a right handed revo STX for about a year, my girlfriend got it for me as a gift. Spooled it up and didn't like the BC so I stuck with my spinning. About 2 months ago me and my buddy decided to REALLY learn the BC, trying to convert my other buddy but he is stubborn he won't even get a scale LMAO U KNOW WHO YOU ARE IF YOU READ THIS LOL. We both liked the feel of a left handed BC so I was using that for a little and kept gettig frustrated by my birdsnest so I semi gave up again, we both had an Abu Garcia Silver Max. Then few weeks later I picked it up again and decided to trade in my Revo STX in a get a left handed version. For whatever reason I picked it up and put it on my rod and realized idk what I was so turned off by before because this feels more natural than what it did when I was using my left hand to reel lol (I use my left for spinning). So long story short I use my baitcast for everything I throw (1 set up for just frogs other is for cranks, chatterbaits, etc) but I still use my spinning for soft plastics I'm sure that might change when I get another reel. Right now I have an Abu Garcia Revo SX and Abu Garcia Revo STX and a Quantum Smoke on the way to the house. I am a believer now!!! Funny first bass that I caught on my Revo SX was a 8.1lb on a *** frog... That would make a believer out of anybody
  19. Man I would kill to catch a musky, especially a big one!!! And people just want to kill them off like that, call DNR on them man.
  20. I understand the struggle man lol. I have a spider wire backpack and it can hold a bunch of stuff. I tend to travel light by visiting my tackle shop in the back of my car/trunk and bring what I feel I need for that particular spot. It gets hard when you want to throw something and you left it behind. Next few months will be very easy for me travel wise when all I will be throwing are frogs and the occasional crank/ soft plastic
  21. Texas rigging plastics (idk what it is but when I can't get a bite on anything else a Senko ALWAYS produces fish it must contain fish crack) I much rather fish 1.) Frogs 2.) Frogs 3.) Frogs 4.) Crankbaits 5.) Chatterbaits [thats my new obsession caught me some big fish the few times I have been throwing them. Never thrown them until about 2 weeks ago or so]
  22. Was out last night and the Mosquitos were out too! I used off but would get the occasional mosquito that wasn't affected by it. Going to give this stuff a try hope it works. I am same way have a few shirts, hats, and pants that I use for fishing so I will soak them.
