  1. I love those spot that are screaming for a frog makes fishing a lot of fun
  2. Well hopefully I will be getting those custom frogs!! I have been on a frogging tear last few weeks. No matter the conditions or if the fish aren't biting top water I still throw it I'm stubborn like that. I use the Stanley Ribbit Hollow Body frogs have you ever fished with them?
  3. that was then this is now lol I'm trying to go for a Miami Heat run... back 2 back
  4. Thanks man I Am going to check them out
  5. Golf course yield some of the biggest fish it's definitely worth checkin out
  6. Hah yea my boy wants to go late night around 11 and then again early morning I might be sleeping through one of those trips lol
  7. I have never heard of them before I might check them out I'm guessing I will have to get them online
  8. Going out to the OPGC or Biggen Central tonight with the crew. Hopefully we have some good pics for you guys... well hopefully I do, not Czar since we are in a competition lol
  9. Lol you are absolutely right it always seems to happen like that. My girlfriend was using my favorite crank bait, I asked her not too but she didn't care, and she didn't tie it right and it launched off after the 2nd or 3rd cast. She got really upset that she lost my favorite crank, still haven't found it at any tackle shop so far
  10. Early morning between 4am and 9am, my best hours, and evening between 6pm and nightfall... FROGS FROGS FROGS FROGS! Over grass and pads and along the shoreline you will catch bass.
  11. Lou but yourself 2 packs of Stanley Ribbit Hollow Body frogs (one black and one white). The bass LOVE the black ones and for whatever reason the biggest bass I catch are using the white ones while they are sitting still and they hit the black one on the move... It's weird
  12. I was talking about the Stanley Ribbit Hollow Body frogs not the regular ones. I'm addicted to them they work like magic!
  13. Very good point fortunately my friend I was with shares your sentiment so I avoided those reels Yep for bass you should see the size of these fish in these ponds at the restricted golf community. Some of them have heavy mats and pads so you need something strong to get them out I they snap your line every time! I have lost numerous fish, lures, hooks to mono. I have yet to lose a fish, a lure, a hook on my braid. Even when it seems like I am stuck and dead to rights I manage to get it out.. Mind you I have only been fishing with braided line for a few days now lol
  14. I was a hardcore senko fisher only the 6" ones though. I recently picked up frogging and have become addicted to it that's all I throw now regardless of conditions or if they are biting or not. But senkos do seem to catch you a fish when nothing else is working
  15. I rarely retie and it hasn't cost me yet. I always forget to check my knot. I have lost a couple swim baits but it usually happens on the cast lol
  16. Yea I mean the rod does the job. I have a ddge charger and I can just fit my rod in the front seat I think the extra 3 inches would make it a little tougher to get in and out. But I have a 2 year warranty from Dicks, and I have St Croixs warranty, so if it breaks I can go to Dicks Sporting Goods and they will refund my money and I can get another St Croix rod or use it towards another purchase... That's a nice deal
  17. Yea there is a lot of wear and tear on that reel. That's y I think it may have been cracked from me droppin it somewhere and that's how it broke. They are replacing it for me anyway which is cool
  18. I recently switched from mono to braid. Notice the braid casts a lot further but it is noisier
  19. Lol yes we won't go there this is a fishing forum
  20. Nice fish which son caught it?
  21. Nice it feels good to finally get one after a slump
  22. Yea and Pflueger is replacing my reel for me!!! Overall great day. I only had 4 top water strikes missed em all and the only other bite was on a swim bait that's going to get me a brand new reel to replace the older one, thanks to that fish
  23. Yea I am not familiar with orange park fishing spots my two buddies I fish with are from over there so they know. I have a few spots marked on my gps that my one friend has pulled double digit fish out of. We should all do some fishing sometime when the weather cools down and the fish are more active. Get all the local Jacksonville fishermen to link up one day and fish a nice spot
  24. Yea it's just for bass Yea wells is really weedy right now. But it's orange park country club. It's a private golf community so you can only get in there if you are a member, live there, or a family/friend on the list of someone who lives there. Only one way in and one way out. There is a old golf course converted into apartments on beymeadows that hold some nice fish
