  1. 7 but I have no room to say how big a double digit fish is since I have only hooked into one but never landed it. But my buddy catches them left and right so I was just going by what he said. It's funny cuz whenever we catch a nice size fish he calls out the weight and it's usually spot on
  2. Nice fish man congrats
  3. No it is in a community. There are no signs saying that it's private. He told me if I wasn't a resident then I couldn't fish there I knew he was full of ish but I didn't make a big deal. Then he said if I get caught again I get a trespassing warning and after that arrested and go to jail... I was like really for fishing? I think he had a different reason as to why he had a problem that I was there
  4. Nice smallie

All day every day no matter what the conditions!!! They are amazing IMO. You need to buy the Stanley frog hooks because they fit perfectly on their frogs. You can fish them using any technique. I have even used weighted hooks an caught em on the bottom.
  6. I love the 10.5" Mightee Worm you are right about the casting

STANLEY RIBBIT HOLLOW BODY FROGS!! will change your life! If you live in Jacksonville you won't find them because me and my boy buy them out.
  8. And I've seen the fish in his phone so I know the reel can bring in the BIGGENS
  9. That's why I got the Abu from Academy. My buddy had his for 3 years and let his friend borrow it. Friend managed to mess up the reel and he took it back to Academy and they told him to go get another one and he didn't have a receipt.
  10. 7. I called Plunger and I need to find proof of purchase. I got it from Dick's I'm not sure if I paid cash or not. I wonder if Academy price matches probably not but if they do I would use that extra $20 on some lures, it was $100
  11. So if I was fishing a pond on the side of the highway where there are no posted signs, and I have a license I would be good if a cop came?
  12. A cop came to a pond I was fishing last night. He didn't ask me for my fishing license. He just said he got a call and he was just asking me to leave. He did run my driver's license which is understandable
  13. I have, had, a Pflueger Presidential spinning reel and today while fighting a fish my reel broke. Me nor my buddy I was with, and the guy at the Tackle Store where I bought my new reel, have seen anything like this before. Got a Abu Garcia OrraSX30. Here is the fish that did it I ended up grabbing my 30# braided line and pulling the fish in... caveman style Anyone ever have this happen? I think that I must have damaged it somehow and that's how it broke when I was fighting the fish.
  14. Went fishing this morning with my buddy to some ponds that are over 40 years old. We get there around 6am and his first cast we hear a monster attack his frog but he missed it, he said he thought it was a 12lb. Double digit fish are common in all the ponds in this golf community. At around 7:15 I cast my frog along the bank and see a huge wake come towards my frog and then nothing. I reel it in and let it sit by some pads. All of a sudden a 10# comes out of nowhere and grabs my frog I tried to set the hook but it spit it out. Now to the fish that was landed lol My buddy was using a tilapia colored trick worm on a weighted hook, and I switched to a Tsunami Swim Shad. He was walking along the bank and saw a 15# sitting by a mat. He throws his worm out and the fish crushed it he went to set the hook but the fish bit the worm off there was about 2" or worm left of the hook. So I cast my swim bait in that area and then out of nowhere two more fish show up next to the massive one. It turns around and as my shad is coming towards it the second biggest one slams it. I set the hook and the fight was on. Out of nowhere my Pflueger Presidential reel with 30# braid on a 6'9" St Croix Mojo Bass rod, breaks off!! Then the fish starts going back out towards deeper water. I grab my braid and then manage to pull the fish to land and grab it. When I took the hook out there was no way it was getting off it inhaled the swim bait. So we had to postpone our trip and go to Academy Sports and buy a new reel. I bought a Abu Garcia OrraSX30 with 30# braid. So that fish cost me $130 lol 24 inches. New Top 5: 19, 20, 20, 21, 24 = 104
  15. Nice pre birthday gift And Happy reel birthday Lou (see what I did there)

  17. It wasn't czar it's our other boy. He is a member on this site hasn't been on in a long time though. I am going out with him this morning from 5a til whenever. Hopefully I have some good fish to post here!
  18. Jacksonville is close to Orlando I'm looking for someone with a boat.
  19. Kevin Van Dam just got busted in the Alex Rodriguez steroid scandal.
  20. Yea man the bugs are annoying but I am always on the look for snakes! It just takes 1 moccasin to ruin your day. Some will run but there are some that will stand their ground and attack.
  21. Yea man I love top water strikes. I was telling some like you said those highway ponds hold some big fish. The past few days I have just been throwing a frog and have been getting good numbers of fish and some nice big ones. Did you catch most of them by the shore line or further out? I have mostly all my luck casting across the shore.
  22. I share the same sentiment
  23. Awesome fish Lou!!!! Bank fishing ain't so bad hah. I've been exclusively throwing Stanley Ribbit hollow body frogs they love em! Nothing like the blow ups they get. What kind of frogs were you using? I got you beat by 1 inch, not sure what fstr is at and I know Czar is in the 90s
  24. Bet he had a lot of fun
