  1. Yea it's right off gate parkway In this apartment complex. It looks like bass heaven and not to mention that 10 to 13 pounder swimming around in there. The ponds big enough for multiple to reside there this is my new spot!If you ever have some free time shoot me a PM and fish it with us. I want to see that fish again and get my swim bait back so more people fishing it with me the better the chance one of us gets the once in a life time bass
  2. Nice smallies!
  3. Nice smallies!
  4. I need to vent hit up a couple spots with bass czar with no luck. We get to the last spot and I'm frustrated that none of us caught anything not even a strike. I'm using a storm swimming shad cast it way out by these Lilly pads, there were patches of them through out the pond, I will get to that later! I'm reeling and then I feel my line completely stop, so I think I'm hung up on the pads. Then I feel it run right and realize its a fish. Czar looks over and the beast jumps straight out the water cleared atleast 2 feet. He thought I was still using my frog and the fish just hit it. Now back to the fish. EASILY bigger than anything ever posted in our competitions and bigger than a majority of the fish people post in the fishing report section! Would have put me way into the double digit club. So I reel it in and it gets caught up in a patch of Lilly pads!!!! Czar tells me to let slack out so it could run but it was too late. I let the slack out waited reeled felt it still on and then snap! Atleast I had someone with me this time when the monster got off. It will haunt me until I break into the double digit club. Me and Camzar were saying that I would have rather not seen the fish and have it get snagged and lose it than to actually see the fish of a life time and then lose it about 10 yards or so from shore. I will be at that pond every single weekend now until I get it again!
  5. Yea man if I'm out and it starts to rain I will stay fishing. Once I hear thunder I get in my car and leave, no fish not even a double digit or state record is worth the risk of my life. Especially when you have other people to live for ie my wife and son
  6. They can ask you for it that's why they tell you to keep your fishing license on you at all times. I have had a license my whole life and I have NEVER been asked for it. Waste of money but the one year I don't get one will be the time I get fined for not having it and fishing
  7. Dusk for me is when I get my bigger ones, especially when I throw on that top water Ribbit frog.
  8. Nice monster fish as usual Big-O
  9. If you bring our boat I know some killer spots we could hit if I had a boat. Thing is the fish you guys catch in south FL are a lot fatter than the ones up here.
  10. These tourneys need to be every month it makes fishing that much more fun and enjoyable
  11. KVD 1.5, 3-6ft are my favorite ones to use. I wasn't a fan of the crank bait u til a week or so ago.
  12. I went out today at my golf course spot. All I was throwing was a KVD crank bait shallow 2-5' and I pulled in 6 there including 3 nice ones smallies was 18.5". Then I hit up my other spot and caught 4 small ones in 45 mins then it started to rain. The bite was on here in Jacksonville
  13. Lol isn't there always a 50/50 chance the fish will be active or not
  14. It depends if the rain is cold or warm if the fish will be active or not.
  15. Nice fish
  16. That's exactly what we should do! I'm not sure bout coming in the summer since its hit or miss. You guys would just have to let me know when it's really active down there so the trips worth it around spawn or something. If we could set it up where we could have two people to a boat that'd be cool, none us of Jacksonville anglers have one tho. I know my boy Bass Czar would be down to make that trip with me.
  17. I agree with everything you said. I love this thread and use it as a good source of information. I'm glad that all of use on here are open to sharing our successes as well as short comings. Baits, techniques, etc have all been useful to not only myself but I'd bet basically all of us. I'm surprised other people from other areas haven't followed this threads lead. Just goes to show us Florida anglers are a different breed of fishermen. It's cool how numerous people have linked up to do some fishing together and sharing our spots. When I take that south FL trip I look forward to fishing with you Lou and fstr
  18. When I can barely cast my lure to where I want it to go
  19. Yea I have hooked numerous bass in the eye. I even hooked a fish in the tail before
  20. I wish I could say I am goin out and buying a Jon boat today... Eventually Good luck man, but basically any lures you use bank fishing you can use on a boat... Maybe a few extra deep diving crank baits and get familiar with the drop shot rig
  21. If I am with someone and we both get skunked then I get mad, but if it's only me who gets skunked and they are catching fish I don't get mad. I just like to see a fish out the water everytime I go out, that's the goal, so if its someone else pulling em out then I'm cool
  22. What were you using? I have been having luck using shallow diving crank baits (orange and black, yellow blue white colored) I pulled in a few last night and 5 this morning in a little under 2 hours, I got out later than I wanted to, but nothing big.
  23. It depends if I am by myself or fishing with someone else. If I am by myself and I get skunked I get mad/frustrated but if I am fishing with someone and I get skunked and they are catching fish I am cool with that. But to me I'd rather go out and not get a single bite than go out and see a bunch of fish and have a bunch of missed hook sets and not land a single fish
