Caught Between Dobyns, Powell, & St. Croix
Personally I don't understand it when people say this. To me the powell and dobyns rods I have held feel tip heavy, and all my st croix rods and others I have handled felt weighted about right. Granted the only powell and dobyns I've held are the savvy and max so maybe the higher end of those brands are a little lighter. I've never used an Avid but I have 2 rage casting and 1 spinning, and 1 LTB spinning and they are all fine rods.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
We used to tow a buddy's 16' deep V tracker with a ford escape and it did just fine. Stopping was a little hairy sometimes but as long as you pay attention and anticipate your stops you'll be fine. I had an explorer for about a year and towed our 18' fish n ski with it. It obviously did not have as much power as I would have liked with the V6, but it could handle it. We have trailer brakes so stopping was not an issue. If you don't have trailer brakes the problem you'll run into is a lot of extra wear on your vehicle's brakes.

Exchanging Broken Veritas??
I would take it back to BPS. I had a veritas break on me two years ago after using it for about two weeks and they took it back without any hassle.

Kc Spring Get Together
It does. '93 Evinrude Intruder 175hp. I'm not going to pretend like I know anything about this stuff, but from what my dad was telling me it should read right around 14 volts if it were charging properly.

Kc Spring Get Together
I agree. Took it to Olathe last night and the motor started up just fine, but it was only reading 13 volts when the motor was running. I guess I'll just have to charge after every use. Did catch a couple including a CHUNKY 15"-er. Picture doesn't actually show how fat this fish was.

Falcon Lowrider'lake Of The Ozarks Special'
What are the specs on that rod? I have the eakins jig rod that is 6'10" MH and it's a really versatile rod, don't even use it for jigs.

Kc Spring Get Together
Simple fix, thanks Haven't used it since the fall get together. Taking it out to Olathe tonight to get the motor running and check the battery to see if it's charging. Hopefully it was just dead.

Kc Spring Get Together
I'll hopefully be out there wednesday or thursday next week, as long as I've figured out our battery issues.

What Are Some Cheaper Plastics That Are Effective For You?
Netbait. Their finesse worms are cheaper than zoom and they thread onto a screw lok a little easier because of the flat head.

How Do You Palm A Reel?
I don't know if it's because I have a big hand, but I hold the trigger between my middle and ring finger.

Falcon Rods
Not the 6'6'', but I use a Lowrider 6'10" MH for bigger jerkbaits. Not its intended use as the rod was made for jigs but I've found it to be a good rod for moving baits. Also a good rod for squarebills.

New Dropshot Rod? (Leaning Towards St. Croix)
The rage and the legend tournament bass 6'10" ML/XF would be good options. I use the 6'10" rage for finesse baits, but several people on the forum have recommended it as a drop shot rod.

How Many Rods Do You Carry
In my boat probably around 12, if in somebody else's boat around 6-8 depending on the lake.

At Home Rod Storage
I got this one last year on sale and used about $15 worth of points to get it for $40. I like it. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Rolling-Rod-Carts/product/10215371/
