I was just looking around into a new fly rod but I will probably just get some new line and what not and spend my money on a new rod and reel( for baitcasting of course). Have a good day.

I have used my dads hand tied ants from my uncle. Those thing are deadly but fall apart after 9 or 10 big ones.

I already know i'm not going to get that many reply's but I thought I would just go for it. The reviews on these are good so I think I might get them on Thursday. Or if you guys have any other suggestions for a rod and reel under 140 that would be great. This is for bass, bluegill, redfish, ladyfish, and blues. Notice that this is for bass to though so please don't change it to the other species forum as I mainly will bass fish with it. Do you think this might be good? The most I will have is 160, so i'm am trying to get something to where I can still get some baits and lures.

Yeah My dad has had the extreme ultralight for 6 or 7 years. The only this wrong with it is he shut it in the car door and the tip broke off but the rod feels great. He put a penn on it and has had it for the same time. From the reviews it seems great. All i'm doing is fishing every night from the banks, and from a 15'3 B60 Riverhawk on the weekends. It's not like i'm reeling in sharks every night. But the occasional 10 pound catfish a couple times out of the week. So does the extreme reel feel good? Like does it feel light? Thank you for answering.

Well I'm going to go ahead and get the bass pro shops extreme rod and real. I know you guys buy the high end stuff but the post said 150 or less. No need for other people to comment. Glen can you end this thread?

What are come good combos that are 145 and under maybe 150. I saw the quantum cod combo for 140 I think, is that a nice one for my second baitcaster? Please some replys before tomorrow before 5:30 would be great. I'm not trying to make it to where people dont want to look at my post by saying help, but I do need it.

I would really like the sticker. I heard people say they did the survey and quiz, yet on there website I have only seen the quiz. No survey.

I use a fly to catch those big ones. The biggest one I've caught was on a fly and it was 8.3 inches.

If i'm going for a catfish that is around 20 pounds what should I use? I don't know what kind it is, but it's in a small lake. We have seen some that we think are at least 40. I mean these things look like they would eat a 10 pound bass. The ones I have caught are around a pound or two and they are like yellowish and have a white bottom.
