I have been the same way, for some reason my throat has been terribly sore. And whenever I am awake I have a terrible headache. I hope it goes away before this weekend because I am supposed to be going down a river to go fishing. I'm going to try out the hooks then. Hope you get better.

I have a book with tons of articles put together. Jimmy Houston, Bill Dance, and the rest I don't remember. But I started talking to my dad about this book and he knew every single one of them. The book even though it's old gives so much information you will think your in a classroom. But the thing is that this book teaches everything that you need to know about structure, what the bottom will look like, and much more. The point I am trying to make here if you follow these tips they give you, you will catch fish. And this is information from the late 60's to late 70's. I know that might not seem like a long time but i'm only 16. It talks about how Jimmy Houston used to be about the only one fishing the banks when everybody was out in the deep water. But he said once his competitors started to find out why he was doing so good, he said it got challenging from there. Old information works, might not sound or seem like it would but it does. I have some of my dads model A's, but I don't want to throw them out worrying that it will get hung up. But then again a lot of the stuff you guys have been teaching me or helping me out about has been catching me some fish. I also still have some of my dads jelly worms, can't wait to use those this weekend!

Thanks for all of the posts. I will be going to Bass Pro tomorrow and get some. I have also heard of these things called Fat Ikas. How would I fish them? Sorry for asking another question, I just thought it would be better to just ask here then to do another post. Sorry if this is asked alot.

I don't know why you guys are getting them so late. I got mine within one week. I live in Georgia and they are in Colorado.

My right wrist hurts when I fly fish for bass and bream. But when I'm using a spinning rod it doesn't. Which the fly rod is lighter. But then again you are constantly moving your wrist.

I'm just going for bass around the 3 pound range.

So are they good for twitching like a texas rig?

Also there is no lilly pads or stuff like that but there is alot of vegitation and downed trees so will they be good for that?

I was wondering if i should get the brush hog or baby brush hog. The water i am fishing in is kind of stained i guess. The deepest part of the lake is about 12.7 foot. I was wondering if I should use the greenpumkin or some other color for stained water. And what type of weight should I use? Also, I got 3 free trokar hook packs and one is 4/0 EWG worm hooks, and the other two are 2/0 EWG worm hooks which one should I use? I have different types of hooks to, so just tell me which one works well for texas rigging them. Thank you and have a good night.

It is a 6'8 quantum nitrous rod.

I got my quantum nitrous combo from there for 29.99! I don't know if it's a good baitcaster for a beginner though. Can someone tell me if it is an alright reel and rod for the price? The reel is like super smooth.

Well if we would have thought about taking a video, that would have been amazing. We were going to be in the newspaper down there. We would of had a small article but d**n, nothing like seeing yourself on the paper. My brother never sent the pictures to the ranger.

Well the bear chased him in. The bear went to the exact spot the deer came through. I have a picture where the alligator is close to the bear and the bear is looking at it. Right after it started going towards it, the bear booked it lol.

I do the same thing here in this little cove just to see how it swims, how deep, how fast, then I take it with me on my fishing trips.

Can you tell me how to change the size of an image? It says it's to big.
