  1. Me, my dad, and my brother had a deer swim across the swamp and get eaten by and alligator and 2 minutes later a huge black bear got in the water and stared at the alligator when it came back up. Posted pictures like 2 months ago. Just look at the fishing trip part of the forums and you will find them. Or just look at my posts.
  2. Good post Big-O and good replys.
  3. Went out the same lake I did last weekend and caught 3 bass. First two were my first bass on a baitcaster which was really cool but the first one was only like a pound so I didn't take a pic haha. And the second one was about 2 pounds I guess. Then I caught probably about a 3 pounder. Still need to get an digital scale lol. Getting one next weekend along with some more braid for my BC. Had about an 5 maybe 6 pounder and fought him for a good 10 seconds and my frog just popped out of his/her mouth. Going out in about 3 hours with my dad in are geno. Should be fun. Will post are catches. If I don't post anymore fish today it is because we didn't go today and will go tomorrow morning. These were caught on a frog. Have a good day. Second one. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Third one. Sorry about the bad angles. Took quick photos to release them. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  4. What pound test mono should I use for backing with 30 pound braid? And could I do just straight braid and use tape to spool it on? Like instead of a knot to tie it to the spool? PS: This is with a BPS Pro Qualifier Baitcast Reel.
  5. Because I have a strike king buzz bait that I got for $1 at walmart so I figured why not try it. Do the legs from the frog get tangled on anything? Also if you see something jump at it do you wait to set the hook like a regular frog or do you just set the hook right when it hits it?
  6. Do you guys think a soft body frog on a buzz bait with the skirt off would be any good? It would keep it going straight I would think. Has anyone tried it? If so did you have any luck?
  7. Try and make it look like it's dieing. What I do to get the bass's attention is once it lands walk it for like 3 seconds then pop it once pretty hard but not hard enough to where it moves alot but just loud. When I do this I will actually see a bass or two start simming towards it.
  8. I thought it looked like one to. But there are no smallies in the lake. I wish there were.
  9. I have been using a medium action rod this whole weekend and caught my PB and about 7 more. IMO you don't need to have a medium heavy action or heavy action rod. I only missed two and that was because I thought they got it and set the hook and it wasn't even in it's mouth. I used the Scum Bigfoot Green Red Flake and it worked fine till the hooks went through the humps. The hooks are to small for that thing. Repaired it with super glue and it worked but have to do it every trip when catching fish. I am going to try one of those popping frogs this weekend and see how it works. Good luck with your frog fishing. I am addicted! I wait 3 seconds, and it seems to be working for me.
  10. Will post the other ones tomorrow.
  11. Caught this tiny one on Saturday. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Caught this one on Saturday. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Caught him on Saturday also. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Maybe a 3 pounds? Uploaded with ImageShack.us Monday morning at 7:30. Caught another one that size but needed to release it fast because the little kids were running over to look at it and I had to pick up my rod because they were going to step on it. Wouldn't have been the first time lol. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  12. Caught my PB yesterday, between 8 and 9 pounds. Me and my dad have seen the big mommas raoming around latley. Maybe it's just coincidence but I think not.
  13. Oh I didnt know girth was around it lol. Yeah it's 8 height wise haha. So you would say it's between 8 and 9 pounds?
  14. Yeah it's this lake that almost no one fishes in, well except for the fishing bridge. This girls head was huge compared to it's body. Can't wait to catch her pre spawn. First 10 pounder here I come haha. Well in like 2 years.
  15. Another angle.
  16. Put up a big fight to. Used a spro frog bigfoot green with red flakes. Tore that frog up haha. Yeah I need to get an electronic scale.
  17. 28 length and 8 girth. I'm pretty sure my buddy measured the lenght wrong though. Probably 25 maybe 26. Sorry for not putting it right.
  18. Hey guys just got back from "Frogging" and let me tell you I had some fun. Me and my friend went out in this 8 foot plastic boat and just had some fun. He didnt catch any but I was teaching him out to fish a frog. He had some hit but didnt set the hook right. I missed 3, well i hooked them and when they jumped out of the water they shook it out. Caught 2. One was only only 1LB and then the other I don't know. I weighed it and it said 2 pounds which I know is so wrong. Do you guys think you can help me out with the weight? I measured it though, 28/8. I saw him kinda jump just a little at this stump to catch a dragonfly and I whispered to my friend "It's a monster". I casted past the stump and started to reel it in and stoped it a little bit when I saw her swimming towards it and man that fish jumped completley out of the water. So all in all it was just a really nice day to get out on the water. Have a nice guys.
  19. Thank you very much.
  20. Me and my friend are going to go fishing at night in a boat. Are head lamps that have the LED lights bad? Do they scare the fish? I have heard for shore fishing it scares the bigger fish, I was just wondering if they would hurt anything like catching fish wise.
