  1. I'm getting that reel in about 1-2 months, that's why I was wondering if my speed spool would be alright till then.
  2. Should I get an Okuma Big Bait rod in the 7'6" heavy or 7'11" heavy? I would be throwing 8" Hudds, Mini slammers, 9-12 inch slammers, BBz's in 6-8 inches, s-wavers, oh and some 6" Hudds. Which one would be better? And would my Lews Speed Spool be alright for casting these baits for about a month or two? I would be fishing everyday with this combo.
  3. Never have and never will.
  4. Thats what I'm going to do then, thanks guys.
  5. I saw your thread about it. Pretty funny and sucks at the same time.
  6. Oh, I didn't mention it was the regular guided one.
  7. At the end of the recent summer. Right before school started.
  8. I have only caught 3 bass on it so far. And I rarely fish with it. I don't know why I didn't notice it before. I hate that I didn't. I'll take a picture later today. I will show you guys how crooked the rod is and the messed up guides. Maybe someone can look at the guides and tell me if it is normal. But I really think they are not normal. Some of them are angled different ways.
  9. I was wondering if a crooked rod is bad to use. It aims to the right pretty good. The guides on it are also crooked to. And some are at different angles then the others. I picked it up at bass pro during the last summer. I didn't know what to look for in a rod because it was my second one. Would Abu take the rod back even if it has some chips in the paint? Would they blame to defect on me because the guides are messed up? And if I ask for a MH to replace my H would they do it? The one I would send back would be the H. Thanks.
  10. There's a video of me on YouTube on my friends channel fishingallday31 where I had a missed hook set and casted right back to the exact spot and caught the fish. I then did it again where my friend had it hooked on and missed it then I casted to that spot and got it. 3 weeks ago I spotted a male on the bed and it hit a crankbait 3 times. I go it to the boat dock twice and it shook the crankbait off. Then switched my crankbait over to a strike king one and 2nd cast with it and i got the bass. This time of year when the males are on the beds and when the females are near the beds and I get a suspected bite or I get a hit where I know where a bed is, I will cast there about 3 times or till I get a hit.
  11. Sorry, I thought it said flipping and punching. Same thing almost haha.
  12. For one of my lakes it would be during the spawn when the males are in beds because the deepest part of the lake which is only 7 feet is all weeds. So I think the females would be there. Also during the summer because there is some cover on the bottom below the weeds and the weeds would be a nice cover for those bass to stay cool during the summer
  13. A heavy rod. 65# braid. Hollow belly frogs. Tungsten weights above a craw or a soft plastic with a lot of action to punch it through the weeds. I think anything topwater would be good when its the right time.
  14. Keep on posting these threads. They're awsome!
  15. I am also from Georgia, welcome.
  16. I love my ducketts. I have a heavy and a medium. The heavy feels like my old spinning combo I got. They are ridiculously light. I have never tried the white ice ones but these micro magics are awsome. I have the split grip ones.
  17. Me and my dad went to my stepbrothers(2) cubscout camping trip up in the mountains an I caught 22-25 largemouth in one day. All were a pound to a pound and a half. Me and my dad totaled 47 those two days we were there. I was using spooks in the morning and at night and super flukes during the day. And we only fished 1 half of the lake. It was private by the way. No boat, all from shoreline.
  18. I watched it last night until about 12 this morning. I have watched it a couple times, I think I might start watching it more. It gets exciting when you know they have a huge fish.
  19. I love the detailed pictures. Good job!
