  1. Great write up!
  2. I just saw a news report that they have one suspect in custody.
  3. The other devices were rumors right? It's sad that a person would do this to innocent people. I wouldn't call the person who did this a man or women because they don't deserve that respect.
  4. I was wondering if the Lews BB-1 speed spool would be an alright swimbait reel? My other choice would be the Shimano Cardiff but I have small hands so I don't think it would be to comfortable. The reel can take 160 yards of 12 pound test. I was going to pair this reel up with an Okuma Big Bait rod 7'6" Medium Heavy for 6 inch huds and big topwaters like MS Slammers and BBz spro 6" floaters. Possibly some lunker punkers also. Would this be a good first swimbait setup? I know someone will say get the shimano curado if size is the problem but I can't afford it right now.
  5. not the 8 inch ones I am sure of. They may come with them but you have to put them on yourself.
  6. Some swimbaits like huddlestons come without hooks.
  7. I'm going to flip a white jig tomorrow onto the beds I have spotted. A guy I was fishing with spotted an easy 5 possibly 6, it was literally on the shoreline. Right next to a rock wall. What do you think this one was doing? I think it was a female because it was really long. There was also a small bass probably about 1 pound right next to it. Me and this guy flipped a jig and tube at it and it wouldn't hit. I couldn't even tick it off.
  8. Why did it do this. I'm pretty sure it was protecting a bed because I saw many more in the 2 to 5 pound range on beds. But this one wasn't. I guess it was close to one. I had it on 2 times with a Rapala DT4 which I despise because it shook it twice by jumping out of the water. Then hooked up again with the same crankbait and shook it loose. I then tied on a strike king 1.5 and it swallowed it. Why did this bass hit it so many times. It also picked up a 6" hudd twice. It blew my mind.
  9. Hope you get some good fishing in.
  10. I'm up here in North Carolina and on Friday night I caught 10 bass and 1 crappie. I was using a Strike king 2.5 in Gizzard shad. I caught fish until about 12:00am and went to sleep. And this morning around 9:00 I caught about a 2 pounder and 3 other small bass and a big crappie on a crankbait and a Rapala minnow. The temperature on Friday night was around 55 and the temperature this morning was around 47. The fish in this lake were super active. Caught 22 the entire trip which consisted of 2 days. Sorry to jack your thread but I just wanted to show that you can still catch them early in the morning or at night when it's a little cold.
  11. Wow what a great write up. Good job to the both of you and you must be worn out.
  12. I've caught really small blue gill on fly poppers. Those are probably the smallest fish I have caught.
  13. As you guys can see his title says smallest fish, not bass.
  14. thank you for posting this. The reviews I saw we're from some website. This makes rethink what I need to spen my money on.
  15. Hey Big-O, I have a pack of rage craws that smell nothing like what Im used to. I have four other packs and all of Them smell like the usual coffee scent. It's the blue craw color and its just a weird smell. Is this meant for this color?
  16. The game looks amazing and has great reviews. I'm going to pick it up for the Xbox. It's going to be good.
  17. The game looks amazing and jade great reviews. I'm going to pick it up for the Xbox. It's going to be good.
  18. I love this season. The last two were also really good. I am watching season 1 again as we speak, and then 2 again. Trying to see what I didn't catch the first time. The Last episode is next weekend and its going to be awsome. I thinks it's going to be like last season and probably end with Rick holding a gun in front of the governors face. I hate endings like that. But they do have to play out the series and make the story slow.
  19. Congratulations!
  20. Alright, the rod I am using is a duckett which has a lot of backbone for a medium. The weather temp is going to be 55* tomorrow, and the water temp is around 42-45. So which type of retrieve should i do. I was talking to someone who was pulling there boat out of a private lake I fish and he said that he caught about a five pounder on this rock wall and I was watching him fish it and he was fishing it fast. Should I try that, or slow roll it? We have also had a lot of rain, so I will be going out durning the dry breaks. Would the rain make them more active?
  21. Thanks guys, so what about the color choices I said? And is 12# YoZuri Hybrid fine for it? And would a medium action rod be good?
  22. How do you detect a bite on a spinner bait? Will the hold on to it and runs with it, or will they pick it up and drop it fast because its hard? Would adding a fluke to a decent sized spinnerbait be helpful because it would make it fall slower and add some softness? Also is 12 test YoZuri Hybrid alright for fishing spinnerbaits? Thanks for the help. I know I could have gone to google but I like to here from you guys. Also, would white with red, and just plain white be good for stained water? We also just had some serious rain here, what other lures would you guys recommend.
