  1. Replied. Thanks for the detailed info!
  2. Public and pressured my friend.
  3. Didnt want to ruin my friends trip there haha. What sucked is even though I tied it around my leg so it couldn't swing, it still did. You gotta do what you gotta do.
  4. Yeah two. I forgot to take a video haha.
  5. I think it would have been a bad idea. When I went to the ER one guy had vice grips and was struggiling to pull it out. The skin was so far off of my leg. He hadto get someone to hold my skin down so he could do it.
  6. Thanks! Seeing you and deep posting up swimbait pictures is part of the reason I got into it. I'm addicted now haha.
  7. Recentley me and my friend Kyle have been getting some nice swimbait bites. He actually lost a solid 10lber on the Spro BBz Jr. and man did it put it him in a slump. For the past 2 months I have been fishing swimbaits fluently. No worms, cranks, spinners, only other baits are jigs and a hollow belly frog. And Kyle has been doing the same. Here are some bass from last week that I caught on the Spro BBz Jr. and the Black Dog Baits G2 Shellcracker. And some recentley. Also some of Kyle's bass. Last night. He was testing out my new reel and first cast he caught this one haha. Right before I sunk the BBz Jr. into my leg. Actually had to go to the ER. We tried to make it go through the other side then cut it but it was so deep we couldnt. So I tied it on my leg and fished for 3 more hours. Bait in my leg must have brought some luck. My first 9" MS Slammer bass. Had 1 bass roll on it, 2 follwers, and one hit the @#$% out of it and didnt sweep set him. Pulled the bait out of its mouth. When you hear 9" you're like "Oh, it's only 1" bigger then the 8" Huddleston". But when you get it in you're hands, it's very bulky. Heres a good picture of it. Most people prefer coffee in the morning. Not me. Thanks for looking! Have a good day. ~Michael
  8. Do you know why Matt doesn't make the Hardbass anymore? Also, I saw that the Hardgills are out of stock everywhere I go. And TW doesn't even have them on their site anymore.
  9. Nice fish man! Killer spot it sounds like.
  10. Harbass floater was 3.5oz. They go all the way up to 4.5 depending on the ROF.
  11. I just got a call from them that they didnt have my item in stock that I ordered. A very nice lady answered the phone telling me that they didnt have my item in stock and that I could get it switched to a different color. I asked if they could switch it to the MattLures HardBass instead of the MattLures StongBass and she said sure. She even went to the point of weighing it for me to see how much more it weighed then the StrongBass because they're wasn't a weight on their website. She also asked me for my shirt size so she could send me a freeshirt .She also said that she would send it out 2nd day air because of my troubles for free. I posted asking if this website was a scam, and it is the complete opposite. Great customer service, and good people. I wouldn't hesitate on buying more stuff from them.
  12. Your a spot on about the hooks being changed. Get some Owner ST-36 Size 1 and you are set.
  13. Once you get that first quality swimbait bass, everything falls into place on how a bass will hit big baits. You'll remember this bass forever. Now the addiction begins haha.
  14. This guy nailed it!
  15. Alright, thanks guys. It came up on my computer that it might have been a site posing as a business. I also saw that they had a real store.
  16. I was wondering if this site is legit. Has anyone ever bought anything from there? The reason I was asking is because there is a bait on there that is $60.00, but they go around $100. And the bait is brand new. It just didnt seem legit.
  17. Trust me, you want to use mono. I use 25# Berkley Big Game and it is so smooth on a cast. + When you backlash, you won't lose your baits like you will with braid.
  18. I have been heading so many good things about the lexas. A lot of swimbait fishermen use the lexas. If you want, you can get a Shimano Cardiff 300 which is $119. That way you could get more swimbaits and have a tank of a reel.
  19. It really depends on how far I ride my bike, or how long I'm out there. If I'm fishing big baits like a Huddleston 8", I'm fine getting skunked because I know when I do get one, its a brute. But if I'm fishing just to catch fish and don't come out with anything, I get a little ticked but I look at all the things I did wrong and adjust. I've been catching them a lot latley and some big ones so when I skunk, I will remember those fish I caught and that I will get some bigger ones sometime. I really just like being out on the water, it takes any stress away and makes me think about my life and where I want to go with it. I really just love being outdoors.
  20. Try the search button on the right side. I usually find my answers there and if I don't or if its somewhat different I ask it. Here's some answers for almost the exact question you had. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/115051-where-do-you-draw-the-line-with-wind/?fromsearch=1
  21. It will happen a lot. Kyle had 4 bass 1 being over 7lbs follow his 8" Huddleston all the way back to the bank and nothing. He had one headshot it, but not take it. They draw som many fish, you will have followers and not even know.
  22. I knew you would get a bass on it. Didn't I tell you about the size of fish that will hit it haha. Those small ones are ballsy.
  23. I wonder if they got those spooted bass in Bacarac?
