  1. Completley forgot. It does look like it could gain another lb or two. I poked at the stomach and it felt like there was a bluegill or two in there. The bass was sitting right on bream beds to so its good to know they're eating good. What sucks is the lake I caught it from is so silted in its not funny. And there is so many bream it's unreal. That's why in the morning and at night the edges of bream beds is all I fish.
  2. Haha. The longer it is the more you will know. True fact.
  3. Finally got confidence in the 9" last night. I'll post up tomorrow.
  4. The best beginner set up I would recommend would be the Okuma Guide Select 7'11" Heavy as the rod. Reel- either the Dawai Millionaire S 300, or the Shimano Cardiff 300. Line- Berkley Big Game for the $ or P-Line CXX. If you have any questions about swimbaits ask Deep or SPEEDBEAD, they are some of the best people you can talk to about swimbaits. SPEEDBEAD is the beard of knowledge.
  5. 3:16 mission fish. Are the weeds on top or bottom? Really vague question.
  6. Those are some nice ones man! I've been wondering if I should have bought the 7" instead of the 9".
  7. Nice ones!
  8. Thanks everyone! And to BassinLou, it's all about patience. In the back of my head I'm always thinking a swimbait needs to be tied on.
  9. It really isnt how long the bait is. It really depends on how it displaces in the water. You can have a 6" worm and catch small ones all day. But go to a 6" Swimbait like a Spro BBz Jr. and catch some giants(this bait still catches small bass too). Take an 8" huddleston for example. It's shorter then you're average powerworms or texas rigged worms. But its how bulky it is and the way it moves in the water.
  10. Today the bass were activley feeding on bait fish. I saw one bust on some shad out in some weeds and casted out right on top of where it came out of the water and let it sink for a second then started to retreive it slowly. It hit like a train haha. It was my first one on the Hard Bass. This bait has tormented me. Ive had 8 followers in four days. Smallest being 3lbs and the biggest about 8lbs. I watched BigBassDreams right before I went which gave me the confidence in the bait. Thanks Oliver! Then about 30min after the first one I caught this beast. It came in at 6.5 on the digital scale. I thought it was hung up on weeds but I said in my head "How could it wake that much?". So I stopped it and gave it 1 or 2 twitches and it rolled on it like a carp would. It really didnt even fight that hard but it was fun catching it. And there are some photos of some decent fish this week. Thanks for looking! And here was the bait that was used. This little guy wanted a full sotmach haha. 4.9 from the video I was in a couple of weeks ago. Hit the exact same way. It hunted my frog down! About 3-4lbs. Nice way to wake up in the AM.
  11. I would definitely get the floater. I love seeing a big bass explode on a swimbait. You will soon see a lot of followers on that type if bait though. Reel it all the way in and twitch it a couple of times at you're feet even if you don't see a bass. I have had them come up and eat a swimbait doing this.
  12. You sold me on getting one haha.
  13. Nice man! How do you like the swim on the jointed claw? Is it like a s swim or more of a glide?
  14. Nice one! Keep fishing it and you'll be catching some more big ones. How were you fishing it when you caught it? Slow rolling, or burnin it over weeds? Or slow roll with jerks? Again nice one man, stick with it. You're a natural at fishin swimbaits. Keep chuckin.
  15. Do you slow roll them like you would the 8" hudd?
  16. Did you get one? And if so, which color?
  17. Picked up the blue herring color in ROF 5.
  18. That's a really good color. I tried to get the bass color but it was on hold for 2 weeks. So I just went with the white one.
