  1. yeah thi pond i fish is pretty big with 3 big coves and huge flat and there are 3 big points ill run a rat-l trap parrell to the point but i already know where the most veg i ust did to see if it would be the greenest which it is and there a drop off id say about 10-12 ft.. so now ill slow roll spiner jigs and sometimes ive punch it not with anything heavy just enough to drop my bait into.. also a jig spoon worked great late fall but now with the water temp in the high 30's it really tough.. sorry for any misspelling im dong this on my phone
  2. havnt treid jerk baits but have running black and blue chatter baits and 8 inch tequllia sun rise t-riged worms. black and purple.... still no luck
  3. sorry i shouldve been more clear i was in the car stuck in traffic when i posted.. im looking for 2 rods in the 100$ area

IM lookking to get a pretty nice all around bait casting rod..im a banking fisherman and dont have the money to be by seperate rods for different lures and such.. i do alot of jiging/ worms and chatter baits.. also cranks rat-l traps and spinners.. need one for both.. ive been dong research on here but im soo overwhellmed with the info on rods i dont know where to begin.. ive seen flukemster with a duckett i can afford 2 nice rods not top of line, but pretty darn good is what im looking for any suggestions?
  5. Jiggin spoons.. and jerkbaits will will be your best bet as CO- bass said vary your pauses and such.. some days they like it longer others shorter.
  6. Yop check your knots.. i had the same using 10 pound fluo.. up its to 15 plus a better tied knot it did the trick for me.. ohh and i lost about 30 bucks on lures dagomti!!
  7. i got 2 personal best this year one in july which broke my 5 lbs pb the one in my tag was 7 and half but i think my scale was broke bc it was an old spring scale... then i got my digital scale and got my 9.3 LMB a few weeks ago but i was on a canoe in the rain with no phone with me so i guess it doesnt count
  8. I saw many vids and read articles on this. but i left all my planos of jerkbaits at my uncles. i guess.. do you know if they have a blue gill pattern?
  9. thanks for all the tips.. what pound test do you use in ponds. ive got 15 pound fluro on my 2 baits caster... and 6 pound on my dropshot set up.. im sure the fish are even more finikie in teh winter and i think im scaring them with the line!!!
  10. so it looks like im going to go and buy some jerk baits and give em a try and ill pick up a few rat-l that are are smaller than the ones i have.. how about spinners.. any blade prefence i should rig up i can prob rig about 4-5 different colors on the smaller spinner bc im not touching my summer spinner patterns!!!

  12. Ive read quite a few posts on here about winter and all of the articles.. But theres still some mising what about pond fishing in the winter.. IVe only been out a handfull of time.. id say about 6-8 times 4-6 hour sessions on the bank and ive only gotten 2 bites Anything you bank fishermen know that might help?

  15. about 7 years ago i got some daredevils... but when kvd came out with his line of crank baits i got a few.. and caught about 100 fish in 3 days.. was an awesome first week back !!!!
  16. i was reading an article about fishing with night crawlers.. this guy caught like 13-14 lmb by hooking a night crawling at the tail, letting it sink all the way down and letting the worm do all the moving.. i guess its supposed to act a texas rigging a soft plastic worm and dragging it slow on the bottom.. any one ever try this?? he said its good for cold water temp bc the crawler will move so slow!

  20. ABU is the only reels ive used but im willing to change if something is better but i really dont get into all that stuff if it casts well and i can real in a big boy ill be ohk.. i mean as long as were all fishing who cares what gear we use!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. i have a 1673 fishing pole it constists of a stick that is sharp at the end haha!!!
