Thanks man,watch as much stuff on the net as you can. Start up is a little expensive,Air Brush,compressor,several colors of paint and clears.Masking supplies ( tape,netting for scale patterns,adhesive eyes).That being said to me it doesnt get any more gratifying for you or your friends to catch them on your own design.

In that shallow of water with fairly light line 12-15 I think you have to go with 1/4 oz. If the water is as murky as you say I would use one with rattles also. Put a bulky trailer so it pushes water and has a slow fall. My biggest bass came on a light weight jig(Black red flake) in ten feet of water with less than a foot of visability.

Painted a couple of a Shad Raps yesterday,this is my attempt at a Long Ear sunfish.

Oxblood,Cinnamon,Smoke and Plum are my favorite for clear water.

It takes any of the heavy 60 degree hooks,I got it in Dec and love it.One is with the Mustad the red hook is Diachii.

Strike King Pork-O, Was the best weedless bait for working through the pads.Kalins Western Weenie Worms,the original salty finesse worm. Slider worms,still can hammer them some days on these.

I grew up fishing Cahoon and the surrounding Suffolk lakes.Im not an expert but I have caught them on Black and Blue jigs there.Junebug colored jigs work great there as well.I havent fished there in awhile but I remember using light jigs 1/4 ounce 5/16.Keep on jiggin brother.PM me for more info if you like.

Bill,Roland,Orlando,Jimmy and Hank will always have a place in my heart.What they preached on TNN or TBS before the age of the internet I would take to my local lake more confident than the week before because I just knew that what I learned from them today would make me a more dangerous angler. Texas rigs,slowrolling a spinnerbait,fishing structure,lessons never forgot.I never have been lucky to meet any of these guys but if I did I would say thanks for sharing your boat with me because in my mind I was casting right along with them ever ready to grab the net.

Stick with it,my family didnt fish either and every thing I learned early on was from T.V and time on the water.From the time I was 10 I would ride my bike a couple of miles and fish from dawn to dusk on the weekends and all Summer.Now that Im grown with a family of my own I fish a local Bass club,own a little boat and more tackle than a man should have.My son happens to love the sport too so Im blessed with a fishing buddy for the rest of my life

If there not fully cured I wouldnt put them in a sealed container.You can slow bake them after you pull them .Even after that I let them air cure for a day before I pour in them. I always seal them with wood glue and water.
