Loomis GLX 844c MBR
The MBR's make good moving bait rods also. The 844 is a great big spinnerbait/buzzbait rod.

Is It weird that….
For me spinning rod length depends on the technique. If I'm dropping on them I think the shorter rod is easier to keep the bait in the cone and easier to flip into docks ect. For the fairly clear water here and the pressure they have on them, If it's some thing I'm casting like a small swim bait I want to get it as far away from the boat as I can and I think a 7ft3 -7ft 6 has some advantage .

Why do I struggle to find and catch fish?
Find bait on your electronics. A wise man once said you may find shad without Bass but you'll never find Bass without shad. Going down the bank aimlessly will yield a few stragglers but your odds greatly improve by finding them bunched up. There are times when they will scatter ,when they are starting to pull up shallow but still look for the bait.

Looking to buy a dedicated jerkbait casting rod to pair with Curado MGL 150
The best falcon jerkbait rod is actually the weightless worm rod. I've always thought the rod they label as a jerkbait rod has gotten is too tight in the tip. Check out the Virtus jerkbait rod.

Wow, just got my first Megabass rod. Hooked
I did the Mega Bass deal for a while with Destroyer's. Orochi's and a couple Levantes. They are beautiful rods. They just didn't overwhelm me as being all that special but that's just me. I would buy the Loomis that's in your budget and not look back. I'm fortunate that I get to fish a lot of rods and the NRX is as good as it gets in my hands. Let's face it, if someone can't catch em on any of the rods that's been mentioned they should probably try another sport, but it's your bank account and your choice.

Powell Max 735C
I fished a Naked series spinning rod all of last year as a drop shot rod and it's great. If you ever come across the older max series rod with all black blank grab it. They still bring about the same money as when they were new, but they are really good. Keith, the owner is a great guy. Don't hesitate to call him if you have any questions.

Powell Max 735C
The Powell is the better rod. If you were comparing it to a Champion it would be a closer call but the Powell still wins.

Dirty Jigs
Great Jigs, they just sold a few months back. The good news is it wasn't to Pradco.

New Zoom bait
I think Zoom may be starting to reach just a bit. They should be ashamed to even bring either one of those to the market. Someone may be sniffing too much plastisol. I thought the uni Toad was the dumbist bait ever until the brush hog/craw deal.

BaitFuel Fish Attractant Gel
I use bait fuel. Can't hurt.

One more gloomis rod
I'm a big fan of the NRX 853. I throw jigs up to 1/2 oz and T-rigs with a 1/4 weight. Just a great action. I've had the 89 inch version in both 3 and 4 power and they feel cumbersome to me. IMO the 85's do everything the longer rods do.

Shimano price increases
I believe the ZBone and Helium both use the Toray T1100.

boat porpoising
Too much trim. Tuck the motor back in until it settles down, that's all the trim you can give it.

Wake Baits
Is Spro selling them again ?
- Best Megabass jerk bait rod (spinning)

NRX+ utility rod...?
Depending on what weight jigs your thinking, 843/844

I’m sorry for all of the posts but I am sort of confused and receiving conflicting information. Everything I’d read and heard up to this point has said people throw 6” Bull Shads and other small swimbaits (1-3 oz) on traditional swimbait rods
100%. In the wind up it's just a fishing rod. No one's life hangs in the balance.

Are G Loomis rods ever on sale?
I remember when the Tackle Trap was discounting Loomis and calling them rep samples . You'll notice they weren't a Loomis dealer very long after that ploy.

Are G Loomis rods ever on sale?
I would call ALF and see what they might do .

Falcon Cara power/action and model recommendation
The head turner was designed to be a short flipping rod. It's a great spinnerbait rod also.

Bass Pro Rain Gear!
I have the pro qualifier Gortex. It's a step down from the 100 mph but it's light enough to work into the 60's. Warmer than that I have the bone dry pants and a Simms jacket.

Falcon Cara power/action and model recommendation
I think they have tightened up the Finesse jig rod over the years. It goes back to when folks complained about the Eakins rod being to soft and slow. I remember having a conversation with Cody at Falcon and he hated that rod. I personally always liked it. But it was meant for 5/16 ball head not football jigs. In fact it was soft enough to throw squarebills on. The current version especially in the Expert is too tight for my taste. The Virtus is made from the same mandrel as the original models but the graphite they use seems to firm it up some but not too much. I'd buy that version over the current Falcon everyday. And, it now makes a good topwater rod with mono ,little to much with braid.

Conquest 844C vs. 905C
My first thought is I would buy a NRX or GLX and save the $. But, if your set on a Conquest then By all means get it. Secondly , I can't imagine standing on the bank in cramped quarters trying to flip a 90 inch rod. 844 for me.

Falcon Cara power/action and model recommendation
The Amitad was always my favorite Jig/T-rig rod. Falcons fish more moderate than typical for the rating. It's perfect for the weights your looking to fish. Anything heavier I like the 7ft. lizard dragger . IMHO it's kinda short for a C-rod but a great big worm rod.
