  1. Another thing to remember is there is actually a decent Bass population in Taney.. I would think you would want to stay below branson landing. More toward the gold mine to bull creek..
  2. On table rock I keep it pretty simple, The loon color when its cloudy and powder or bone when it's sunny. Not sure color matters much though.. Since your in the area check with sportsmans factory outlet next to Lews.
  3. I never go heavier than 6 with the ned..when I used braid to flouro I used 6lb.invisx for the leader..these days I use straight Capps and Coleman 6lb.
  4. Wake bait.. Change the back hook with a feathered treble.. and 3 or 4 suspend dots on the belly right in front of where its jointed and use a snap..
  5. For DD22's, 6XD's ect. 8 or 10 lb. Invisx.
  6. As bluebasser said if your close to the dam you will typically see more smallmouth in that area than up the rivers.. Your close to state park marina , they probably rent bass boats there. Honestly , I'd recommend you hire a guide. Table Rock is a fickle place and can change daily. If you decide to go that route PM me and I'll get you some names. You may see a topwater bite in the morning, otherwise it's probably going to be a dragging deal.. ned, shaky head and a football jig.. I'm a fan of the transitions between bluff wall and chunk rock as a starting point..
  7. I fish a speed craw on a 3/16oz. Bass X shaky head for a finesse deal.. Also on a 3/8 -1/2 oz wobble head.
  8. The 6th sense is a great plastic bait..In balsa, I like Dave's and Black Label..
  9. Any ML dropshot rod is about right for it...The Zodias ML is really good, As is the st.croix eyecon (walleye) series in the 6ft 6 ml.
  10. I fish a squarebill more like a spinnerbait than a diving bait.. I like a shorter rod with a shorter handle to roll cast around docks. I like the Denali 6ft10. Kovert ,Tatula reel and 13lb. Defier.
  11. Brian's Mighty Bee..
  12. If it's the new scIII blank its a steal..I actually own that rod and at one time owned the older model.. They make a nice jerkbait rod and a pop r rod as well.. I never noticed either being tip heavy, but I a fish a jerkbait with the tip down.
  13. For the 6XD,DD22, ect. I use 8 or 10lb. Invizx. I do use a glass rod, but in 5 years with it I've never had a fish break it.
  14. ML....I've used the 7 ft. version a bunch for the ned.. It throws the 1/16 oz head well and still has enough power for the 1/8 oz and the drop shot. I'm not crazy about the grip but it's a fine rod..
  15. It's been 5 or 6 years but if memory serves, about 180..
  16. yes, I've seen them sell for more than they were new..
  17. I'm a fan of the E series Curados and Citica's..If you can find a E7, I personally would take it over the I series.
  18. I have the 894 in GLX..It's a great 1/2oz.-3/4 oz. jig rod but I think it's too much for 3/8 or less... If your throwing 1/2 or more it's a dandy.
  19. Yep, Too much reel.. What size jigs ?
  20. For G Loomis/Shimano American Legacy is the best..
  21. I leave them in the package, even the ones I pre-rig for the day.. I've had them melt if kept in a plano too long.
  22. I think Tatsu is as good as it gets but Its wasted as a crankbait line.. I use 8 and 10 lb. Invisx for everything from wiggle warts to DD22's, I never use any kind of conditioner and it handles fine..It's got a bit more stretch than Abrazx or Sniper.. I
  23. I throw it on a split shot rig..also use it on a c-rig..
  24. I have 2 I really like...the zodias 7 ft..ml is really good ...but the st.croix 6 ft.6 ml in the walleye (eyecon) series is just about perfect for it..
  25. I haven't fished a fliptail bait in 25 years but they used to be really popular.. I fished that lizard a lot at night here on Table Rock.. They are thicker than the zoom's , larews , ect. that you see these days.. I always fished them t-rigged with a 1/4 oz bullet sinker.. I don't care for EWG hooks in general but that bait may require it.. .
