  1. how's the fishing in savannah? Do you fish the river or a lake around there? I've been to savannah once i sat at that park bench where forest gump waited for the bus and drank a lot of green beer lol
  2. we use 7' ultralights with a small popper fly and casting bubble when the mayflies start to hatch. its a lot of fun catching the bull gills and 1-2 lb bass
  3. yeah i saw the full size possum and felt a little intimidated by the weight 7 oz will wear you out throwing it all day or night. i really like the large profile while at the same time it doesn't look that intimidating. my wife thinks mine is cute lol. only thing i would change on mine would find reflective eyes to swap out for the littleblack eyes
  4. Happy birthday ! Thanks for the sale.
  5. its for sure a big lure it weighs in at 4.6 oz and abou 12" with the tail about 6 " body. i don't think its so big a 2lber wouldn't eat it but its a big profile bait
  6. What kind of terrestrial prey do you have where you live? What lures do you use to imitate them? Where do you fish them. For me this is one of my favorite ways to fish. in my area ive seen bass and other fish eat birds, squirrels, mice, snakes, ducklings, and once saw a very large catfish? try to eat a baby beaver. I tend to imitate rodents mainly using rat type wake baits. i got a new one recently the cl8 baby possum i can't wait to try out. i tend to fish weed lines or downed trees or even low hanging branches where rats and the like may easily fall into the water for an easy meal. This is also one of my primary night baits in summer.
  7. Academy has a tournament choice culling system almost just like the ardent and theyre around 30$
  8. thought the same i fish georgia and bama waters never once even heard of anyone talk about musky fishing. we do have pretty large pickerel in some of our lakes.
  9. I use a cheap academy wind breaker suit its around 25$ for a set its thin but windproof and breathable and waterproof it is what i use in the rain all year and when its cold i layer up underneath and i stay warm
  10. You too mike. thanks for those plastics. we will definately have to get together and fish sometime.
  11. I know on my home waters average depth is 23' give or take and water temp on the surface is usually 5-10 degrees warmer or colder depending on season after 15' deep. In my opinion almost any technique can be a cold water technique. i just change location where i fish a lure or technique and retrieve speed based on water temp and the fish's mood. for instance in the northern usa where its not frozen u may pause a suspending jerkbait for a minute before twitching it again but i may only wait 10 seconds. cold water to them may be 35 degrees but cold water for me is 50.
  12. Bass blood coagulates and clots in water no need to poor soda in its throat either release quickly or place in your live well and the bleeding will stop.
  13. so does the smart phone app show your location when on the water and does it allow me to save waypoints on it?
  14. So i am wanting to have chartplotting capabilities but dont have the money for a new graph. my question is can iget a gps like a handheld garmin for hikers with an sd slot and put a navionics chip in it for marking locations?
  15. Hard to turn darker colors with spike it or jjs magic. i use it on watermelon, white, green pumpkin, pumpkin seed, etc not much effect on black or junebug etc ps be careful with jjs its very volatile if it gets too hot plus it really stains things permanently and its stinky lol
  16. Usps has yet to dissapoint and fed ex and ups have dc's here so no problem from them either usually
  17. Shad, shad, shad, and oh yea occasinaly bluegill
  18. Not to me. i throw swimbaits in high percentage areas or structure not for alot of bites but for a big bite. i position the boat differently when fishing sswimbaits often working them uphill. instead of chucking and winding i pick my shots. so in my opinion no it isnt.
  19. Im fond of the pit boss also
  20. Although i own alot of topend gear now i still use alot of bargain tackle. i like berkley lightnîn rod shocks and abu max series reels and use zebco omniflex mono($2.99) on a few reels with zoom plastics and strike king cranks and do fine but i l i wouldnt give up my nicer gear either

  22. I love spro poppin frog killer gill, black, or white. River 2 sea spittin wa in youknowit or poison are about all i throw but booyah pad crashers and h20 are good as well
  23. The delta rat sewer rat and i think there's a injected rat but its hard to come by now are the only ones in production now the original i got from ebay for 50 bucks a year ago i think there's one on there now for 90$. another popular oneis the 22nd century nezumma rat but they go for serious coin as they are discontinued. you could look at morning wood lures they have a good rat bait also
  24. wow sam that's a lot of animosity towards a foot ball team of kids who put their body on the line on saturdays for an education. i guess you didn't enjoy watching mettenburger crawling on his hands an knees off the field after 3 consecutive sacks at the end of that bamasux victory over lswho this year Roll dang tide
