  1. love some punk especially blackk flag and nofx. ive grown out of it a lot now that I'm older and have kids lol... sigh... being an "adult"
  2. x2 rammer jammer rammer jammer give em hell alabbammer!!!!
  3. Pitching I'm getting more cobfident in it now that I've caught a few fish
  4. I have a 45$ frog tog light rain suit its breathable and keeps you pretty dry
  5. I catch em on traps spinnerbaits and small grubs,
  6. Try vicious flourocarbon its strong smooth and about the same price as vanish but a much better quality id use no less than 17# and wet your line before tying knots on fc. and retie often especially after a fish or snag as they can compromise your knot
  7. 3 quality fish caught on cavitron today. all were caught in about 2 ft of water along flooded grass and brush during high skies
  8. I own a the black silver and two pro max and i like all 3 but the silver and pro max are far better than the black max but it can still get the job done i can't speak on the rods bc I've never used them
  9. Never use one.. trailers add lift to the spinnerbait making it rise in the water column. i just use magic tail skirts
  10. I just loft them in with the rod. recipe for disaster on decent or bigger fish. could result in lost lures/ fish or even broken rod tips
  11. Ok, so I guess my biggest problem when catching a fish is that after catching it, I couldn't tell you what I did to help me catch it. And that isn't learning. I read somewhere, that if you don't know how you were able to catch a fish, then you aren't learning anything. And that's what I would like to improve on. I want to be able to catch a fish, know how I caught it, then be able to do it again. Living in Miami, I have caught a couple Peacock bass (couldn't tell you how big any of them were cause my fish guessing scale is horrendous), some tilapia, some Mayans, 1 black catfish, and about 2 Plecos with a snag. Almost every single one of those fish were nesting, and I was able to see them before I caught them. I wouldn't consider any of these fish I caught anything to be proud of considering I coulda threw about anything near their nest and they would have attacked regardless. I catch a lot of brim as well on some squid (funny how they are crazy for saltwater squid) but biggest was probably a pound. first start by taking note of time of day and weatherconditions cloudy sunny hot cold before rain or after etc 2. Look at the water is it clear or dirty green yellow blue etc. 3. Depth of water 4. Cover and structure are you fishing in water aaround trees or brush grass drain pipes etc. 5.lure.. what kind were you using how did you retrieve it? Fast slow start and stop retrieve 6. How did the fish strike was it a hard thump. or did your rod just get heavy or just feel slack etc. 7. Where is the lure in the fish's mouth way deep or barely in there all thhese things can help you learn how to replicate the catch over and over if you take note of these things good luck on your angling journey
  12. Don't discount buzzbaits any time of the day even in post front bluebird skies they just plain catch fish
  13. around 5 1/2-6 probably 5 lmb that size and quite a few chunky 3-4 lb range spotted bass. most all have come from flooded brush grass in 3 fow but the biggest 2 were caught in 4-6 fow in gatorgrass mats around the edges. the gator grass is fairly new to my lake i think possibly hitched a ride on a tournament fisher's boat from eufala or other lake around here, but Im living it. its kept the bass shallow for a lot longer than in previous years.
  14. Lost a strike king 6xd crank that cost $6.00 but it was attached to a giant bass that would have one me 1st place in a tournamennt as a result i finished 7th just outside the money. if i had that fish id have one 1st and had big fish to boot. cosrt me about $1256.
  15. x2 i prefer the bronzeye popper to the original tho but I've got a lot of confidence in the cavitron black buzzzbait and the quality of the fish are often better
  16. Popper frogs spinner baits. texas rigs or my personal favorite a buzzbait
  17. I own one of there jerk baits and 2 crannks honestly not that impressed with either of them just my opinion.
  18. Cavitron buzzbait black on black catches the big girls. only thing I've been using lately even in midday bluebird skies and still reeling them in.
  19. Black w black blade.. i have caught 33 fish in the last 3 weeks with this one buzz bait. I've even went out the last two trips to the lake and this is the only lure i threw and the best. part is the smallest fish I've caught is over 2 1/2 lbs big shout out to bobby and megastrike you guys make great products
  20. Try dark colored jigs or colorado blade spinners slow rolled around the timber and buzzbaits around the newly flooded grass bushes or flip a dark beaver type bait into cover... could be a good day you never know go out an enjoy your new boat
  21. My grandfather started taking me as soon as i was old enough to hold a pole.... i thank him for introducing me to this great sport.. if more youth would take interest in activities like fishing there'd be a lot less problems and crime.
  22. I live about 1/8th of a mile from my home lake takes longer to hook the boat up than the drive to the ramp lol
  23. In the last few weeks I've been fishing my old reliables plastic worms and craws a sqarebill cranks and I've been really disapointed with only catching a few small fish so i decided to move out of my comfort zone an try some different techniques so for my last three trips I've only taken 3 rods and fished three baits. 1. Spro popping frog 2.black buzzbait 3. Deeper crank baits and to be honest i think I've found some new confidence baits even thinking about buying some new set ups just for these baits i said all that just to remind people to get outside your comfort zone an try something different if things arrnt going the way you plan
