Popping frog around grass and weeds sticking out of the water and buzz bait over submerged grass.

Bass: Fishing is hot from safe light until about 11 am when the lakers show up with their speed boats and jet skis. Fish are starting to hit their summer haunts ( deep humps, rock piles, chanel ledges, and submerged tree tops) but their are still lots of quality fish in grass mats feeding on bream on beds and young of the year shad. look for coves with vegetation with wind blowing into the cove. Fish a popping frog in pockets and edges of mats and vegetation above water line and buzz baits over submerged vegetation should draw some vicious reaction strikes. the old reliable black trick worm serms to also be a good bait for numbers in the same area. During midday fish off shore and hit deep points with a bomber or bandit 200 for spotted an LM bassalso fishing humps and rock piles with a SK 6XD could yeild quality fish along with a surprise striper or hybrid. In the evening its hard to beat a carolina rig with just about any plastics, squarebill crank, terminator spinnerbait, or a jerkbait as the fish strap on the feed bag for the night. in my last 3 trips i have just caught them till I'm tired of catching them. i would like to thank all the guys here on br for all the help, tips, and info if not for yall i don't think id have this much success especially in june!! Fish early or late when bass are most active. cover a lot of water. Fish your confidence baits. and most importantly stay positive.

Spro popping frog in midnight special(black) or spro bronzeye 65 in black or albino. either are absolutely killer

Idk about your waters but on west point I've had great success in stump fields and brush piles. btw 12-18 fow and under bridges at night i use live shiners smaller the better or curly tail grubs on 1/8 oz. jig heads stroked off the bottom

Like the suffix siege for flipping or skipping docks light cover. it is a little stiff tho i like the elite also it is softer but holds a lot of memory in the line i use the 12lb for leader.

Hey guys I have an iPod I take out on the water and I like to listen to it when my confidence is low or i feel out of my rhythm I think it helps me a lot And even gives me a tempo when using poppers or walking top water baits my most productive retrieve is to George straights all my exes live in Texas haha

I routinely take my boat into slews in the river that are only a foot deep in most places by trimming my motor up so high that the prop is just under the surface to get to some of my favorite honey holes its all fun till you have 28 gallons of gas an the back of the boat sits about 3-5 inches lower in the water and I have to strip to my boxers to pull it free but its worth it when that pool at the other end holds 6+ lb bass consistently I also in tournaments have let time slip away from me an had to run to weigh in doing 60 in 30 MPH wind and 2-3 ft white caps gets the adrenalin going that's for sure lol

try them rage rigged on a swimbait 1/8 oz hook or a luckestrike perfect worm hook 5/0 hook an slow roll it just off the grass or weeds or hop it back and don't be surprised to catch a lot of bass i had tons of luck on them last summer from 9" bass to 6+ lbers

Yea I've seen them at walmart for a while they rrminded me of a molix crank also they were .99 so i pulled the trigger hope they catch fish

Went to wal mart today bought some lures an got some new cotton cordell cranks in a craw pattern but i don't know what they're called cotton cordells website doesn't have any info on their website.

yea i agree i just went fishing out there last weekend. caught two nice bass off that point

it really is a good lake when the water is at a good level lots of spotted bass to catch and some nice lmb i fish tournaments out of highland marina an me and the wife honeymooned there (my idea to get in a lil extra fishing time in lol)

doesn't really matter the age as much as just having somebody out there who really likes and is passionate about fishing like i am

yea i take my wife some but she just isn't as into it as i am.. my other fishing buddy is on 12 hr shifts 7 days a week.
