  1. I have never fished a *** but have played with one at a tackle shop the only thing I didnt car for was the handle diameter was really small similiar to the duckets. I like a larger handle diameter like the powells have.
  2. I do the same and have even went as heavy as 5/16 weighted swimbait hook.
  3. +1 If you go up a size on the front hook it has to be a short shank treble.
  4. +1 most of the time when you hook a bass with a frog its in the roof of the mouth where its really hard.
  5. In order of my favorite to least favorite I like all 4 just some more then others. Diawa samurai braid PP slick 8 sufix 832 regular power pro
  6. I dont use a leader but fish dark tanic water most of the time.
  7. I use a 7-3 heavy fast rod with 65# braid. Im 6-1 if I was any shorter I would want a 7' rod.
  8. Centrifugal brakes if only one brake but I prefer reels with both. I only use the mag brakes when casting into a strong wind most of the time they are off.
  9. Yo-yo the bait up and down 2-4 times letting the bait sit on the bottom some times of in the middle of the water column sometimes. It depends different days they like it different ways.
  10. Bending the hooks a little up off the body helps alot. I wont use a frog unless I have bent the hooks out and up a little.

The older I got the more I realized inconsiderate people like that aren't worth my breath. If they havn't learned by now how to treat others some stranger yelling at them wont change them.
  12. I use all brands but mainly stick with gambler and reaction innovation soft plastics.
  13. I would say its a typo. Its probably suppose to say the same at the 733 and 734. You must be looking at TW if you go to dobyns site it says this 763C 7’6″ 1pc. 8-17lb, 1/4-1oz, Med/Hvy Fast Action Carolina Rigs, Senkos, Flukes, Topwater, Horny Toads $249.99 764C 7’6″ 1pc. 10-20lb, 1/4-1 1/2oz, Hvy Fast Action Carolina Rigs, Light Flippin’, Jigs, Spinnerbaits, Small Swimbaits $249.99
  14. Thats one good thing about walmart the are really relaxed about returns.
  15. I have always had better luck getting permission at golf courses that are open to the public. The private ones are a little harder to get into. My cousin is local golf pro and it helps having some one vouch for you.
  16. No because the two you leave on are across from each other and balance each other. It also doesn't defeat the purpose of having quick access because how often do you have more then two brakes out. I never have its either 2 for baits 3/8 oz and over and 1 out for 1/4 oz baits. Its actually pretty common for people to take out what the dont use.
  17. I've used seadek on inshore boats before and its awesome stuff but its not cheap. If I ever buy another new boat it will have non skid with sea dek on it. You get the comfort of carpet but the ease of cleaning you get with non skid.
  18. Take the brakes you want down out of the reel and store them some where. This is what I do with mine I take 4 out and leave 2 in the reel pushed out.
  19. Soft plastic swim bait like a skinny dipper or big ez rigged weedless with a 1/8-1/4 oz belly weighted screw lock hook. Swim it just above the grass slower the better.
  20. I dont see why you couldnt make it work as long as you keep in mind you are using a fast action rod. Its not something I would recommend to a beginner but and experienced angler shouldnt have any problems.
  21. He said it was jig at the 6:14 mark. I like it when he said when you come to okeechobee bring your braid this is the type of fishing Im usually doing. I love fishing in the grass.
  22. Washed every other trip unless it has a scum line the it gets washed immediatly its easier to get off before it bakes on. Then after I wash it I wipe it down with a detailing spray wax. Then about once a month I completely detail it inside, outside and the bilge. I also pull both outboard and trolling motor props and check for line. Then check the water levels in the batteries. Cleaning the boat is when I usually find things that need to be tightened or fixed.
  23. My first guess would be the centrifugal brake shoes. Another place I've had make noise like you are describing is the handle knobs.
  24. Good looking fish the green on it stands out.
  25. They are not 100% made in the USA either all the components are sourced from fuji just like every other rod manufacturer. 100% assembled in the USA would be a better term.
