I like to leave the water in the bait they tend to sit lower in the water and have a larger displacement. Which moves more water and causes a bigger commotion.
  2. Two totally different reels the 300e is larger then the 200g. The chronarch 200e is the same reel as the curado 200e What do you plan on using the reel for?
  3. I was an estimator for several years bidding 1-2 million dollar projects for the south florida water management so this doesnt suprise me at all. Its kind of like when the slip in you have to provide them with a work trailer on the jobsite yet the trailer never gets used.
  4. Black or dark colored spro poppers are my favorite. I feel I get a better hook up ratio using hollow body over soft bodied frogs.
  5. If you take care of them and properly rinse and lube then on a regular basis you will get years out of them. I've been using freshwater baitcasters for snook fishing since I started and have never had one fail on me.

I've heard of people putting split shots in them to do the same thing yet still allow the bait to compress when the fish strikes it.
  7. Okeechobee county and the treasure coast are under a flood watch from Wednesday night to Thursday night. Its expected to rain the rest of the week and start clearing up Saturday and Sunday. There is a big tropical disturbance in the gulf causing all the rain.
  8. There prepping for the heavy rains we have coming the next few days.
  9. What makes you question the diesel's durability? I have both a *** and a couple of diesels I dont see how one rod is more durable then the other.
  10. Thats a great day on the lake. Congrats on the great trip. Year round growing with the warm weather causes them to grow long.
  11. I've read all the documentation on them and there was no concrete evidence supporting what they were saying. Im not going by a wives tale Im going by what I witness in nature. When peacock bass started spreading through the canals everybody was saying the same crap. Nature has a way of balancing itself out.
  12. + my favorite color is green pumpkin followed by black. The green pumpkin is like a dark translucent green with black flakes and a orange popper surface.
  13. When casting light lures it requires and very well trained thumb and a reel with as little braking as possible. Hatrix summed it pretty good. When Im using something less then 3/8oz I only have one centri. brake on and the mag usually on 2-4 depending on wind. The reel will backlash if your thumb isnt well trained.
  14. I have only shortened hand controls so Im not much help. I do know a new shorter shaft is around a 100. If you search online you might be able to find a how to I have seen it done before.
  15. Yes the guides are suppose lean forward a little it helps prevent line from rapping around them.
  16. Some of my earliest and best fishing memories are from his store. His tackle shop was my toys-r-us when I when I was kid.
  17. You will get various answers depending on the persons location. I use straight braid on everything.
  18. I have a mojo and a bucoo rod. The bucoo is a much nicer rod in my opinion another great rod to look at thats cheap and an excellent value is the powell diesel rods.
  19. The powell endurance rods are one of the best bang for you buck rods out their. More then half my rods are made up of endrance rods.
  20. Thanks for posting that its a good read.
  21. I use 7.xx for anything that involves slack line like topwater, texas rigged worms, and flipping. 6.xx for everything else except deep crank baits and big willow leaf spinnerbaits.
  22. I stand by what I said. If what your saying is true why did that bass population come back even thought they have stopped the round ups? The small amount of fish they did kill probably didnt even make a dent in the population. At first the balance may be a little out of whack but in time the ecosystem balances itself out. Snakeheads spawn twice a year and have little to none sharp spines and make great forage for bass. There is no documented research saying snakeheads hurt the bass popultion.
  23. There is no proof that snakeheads hurt the bass population some people even go as far as saying it helps.
  24. Hand control or foot controlled.
