  1. Yeah but alot of times I would be sweating with out wearing them. They are alot cooler then regular rain gear but when it its cool out they wont do much to keep you warm. I have another set of heavy rain gear for the cooler months. Frogg toggs are pretty much the standard down here when we get summer showers.

I have tried them all my favorite are the Mustad Denny Brauer Grip Pin Max Flippin' Hook. The bait keeper on them tears up the baits less then any others I have tried. The plastic molded bait keepers like the trokars tear the bait up alot when you slide the biat over them because the are so large. The bait keeper also stays put unlike the gamakatsu I was using.
  3. They small leech type bugs they are more common as the water warms up in the summer time. All of the fish I have caught with them seem perfectly healthy.
  4. Mine did the same thing the good thing after it falls off the reel still looks good and you cant even notice its missing.
  5. I dont love them becuase they tear up my baits and I always immediatly think I have a huge bass on when one strikes. Its like any other animal though I have respect for them and always try to release them unharmed.
  6. Suffix does last longer but its 3x as expensive. A 330yard spool of 12# suffix seige is $9 a 1175yard spool of big game is $9.
  7. Its a good line I liked better then berkely big game but its more expensive. I used it for while then switched back to big game.
  8. I have one of these reels its the only reel I have that sits on the shelf. LIke others have said its the roughest reel I have ever used. I ended up polishing the gears with a dremel and that helped alot. I also have several lews tournement pros that have duralumin gears and are as smooth as butter. I think its a machining issue and not a material problem. There are alot of reels on the market using duralumin gears that are smooth.
  9. I also use frogg toggs I use the bull frog line around $70 for the jacket and pants. Here in Fl its usually in the 80's and raining.
  10. Green mirror with the amber tint with the 580 lenses or silver mirror with copper base.
  11. You have to call them ask for Brian.
  12. Im another one that uses spro popping frog or a rebel pop-r. The fish in my avatar was caught on a pop-r.

I also wear the simms buff I like it because it has extended flaps in the front and rear for neck protection. The previous buff I had always left a gap between it and my shirt.
  14. The tackle trap is an authorized dealer and they where close to the price I found on ebay. I have bought 4 pair of costas from them in the past year
  15. Soft body swim bait rigged weedless with a belly weighted screw lock hook. I use a gambler big ez with 1/4oz hook. Reel it slowly over the top and let fall into the holes. You can also buzz it on the surface
  16. Its made by gamakatsu but exclusivly for strike king. When people see them in my bass box the ask if Im going shark fishing. The are about twice the diameter of a normal gamakatsu superline hook.

My favorite is a jig tipped with a shrimp. Hook the shrimp in the tail so when the jig is sitting on the bottom the shrimp should have his head an legs sticking up.
  18. Show me a hook that has the same wire guage size as a strike king hack attack flippin hook. Most hooks made specifically for flippin will be thicker then superline ewg hooks.
  19. I new razor blade will shave it off like its not even there.

Id rather look like a mummy now when Im young then deal with skin cancer when Im older. My sister works at a dermatologist office and shows me pictures of people that get carved up daily becuase of skin cancer. They straight up take out chunks of your skin mainly ears and nose are the worst affected.
  21. Find something productive to do after work that you enjoy this gives you a little break for yourself. I found exercising after work helped it helps break up the monotony of working eating and sleeping.
  22. I've done this a couple of times and its usually with a spinner bait or a lure that catches alot of wind. 12# braid is light I have never used braid that small and light. I would assume it would take much of a nick to really weaken the line alot.
  23. I wear costa's with 580 glass lense in amber. They way I look at is I wear sunglass everyday for usually 5+ hours a day living in Florida and I only have one set of eyes. A nice pair of glasses cost less then what most people spend on one rod and reel.
  24. I've always peeled them off the best that I could a blower dry may help of they are still soft. Then after I got the sticker part off I always have used 3m general purpose adhesive remover. To get the adhesive residue off then a quick coat of wax.
  25. I wouldn't be afraid to try it.
