  1. Gambler EZ, Big Bites baits BB Kicker, Ragetail swimmer
  2. I don't ever keep fish per say. If a catch a nice one I will take a picture and release it. In some area's I fish I will remove smaller fish every now and then to keep the population down. These are private ponds and a smaller 36 acre lake that my buddy owns. I know these places pretty well and if I do not remove some fish throughtout the year it will become stunted. I will put them in a livewell cooler I created and take them to another pond and release them
  3. I don't keep any of my tackle or rod's in my vehicle due to heat. In NC it is pretty darn humid and even in 75 degree temps the car can get extremely hot while sitting all day. I worry about plastics melting mainly. I'm not sure if it could damage a rod but I don't take the chance.
  4. I usually have about 9 or 10 on deck if I am not on to a specific pattern or bite. Once I get it down or find a pattern I will use about 5 or 6. Now on new water where I am in the dark I will keep 10 on deck until I get comfortable with the lake
  5. Great lookin yak fish
  6. Personally I'd save and start off at the $100 price range. Usually anything below that and the quality and performance are subpar and suffer long term
  7. You can fish a swimbait anywhere. The issue with swimbaits is the # of bites is going to decrease. A lot of people don't understand the commitment it takes to fish swimbaits long enough and consistent enough to produce the results that they can. When I first started fishing I spoke with some guys on the underground and got an idea of what how and where to fish. I went 3 months without catching a single fish on a swimbait. Then boom nailed an 8lber on a pats perch. I always have a hudd rod and a pats perch on board. May not pick them up if conditions do not call for it but its always there as a possibility
  8. I honestly don't see how people judge a person without ever meeting them or having a conversation with them. Now if you have a bad experience with a specific person and that creates your opinion on them fine. I haven't heard of Skeete being anything other than a down to earth person. Some people's confidence or personality may come off as stand offish or confrontational until you actually get to know them. On to the rod's, my buddy has some and likes them. I have no experience with them but you can go to your local Walmart and pick one up and feel it in hand and look at the guides and epoxy and see if it may be for you
  9. Installing it, using it I am sure would not be difficult.
  10. I use Yo-zuri hybrid on a lot of my set ups. Find myself going to it on more and more rigs too. I use it on my medium/deep crankin setup
  11. I have been thinking about installing one on my 18 ft center console just don't know how much of a headache it would be. I'm sure it would be a great tool though
  12. Great pair of fish
  13. Thats a stud nice fish man
  14. I'm kind of OCD myself and would like if one brand had all the rod sizes specs and things that I want. Unfortunately its not the case. I have a lot of BPS Carbonlites, the previous models and the newer white ones. They make the majority of my rods and I love them. But I also have Lews rods and Shimano. Unless your being paid or spons. by these companies no need in forcing yourself to use one brand, now if they have the proper spec rods and lengths and things you are looking for be my guest.
  15. I've had good experiences with the crankin stick and the new micro guide crankin stick. Heard good things of the Mojo Big Crankster on here
  16. 6.4:1 is my choice. I can slow it down enough to keep it lower in water column or speed it up and burn it over grass.
  17. That's a nice frog toad!
  18. Just let me come fishing with you once! Nice fish
  19. Both morning and evening and all day. Conditions and location have to be right but I have a top water rigged all day. Finding a good shallow flat near deep water that has a source of shade near by during the day is perfect for throwing a topwater. Throw it on the shade line or the just inside the shade and walk it back.
  20. Texas rigged, jig trailer, rage rigged
  21. Usually muddy water is going to be a shallow water bite for me. They relate to any shoreline or shallow structure and are basically right on it. Pitching and flipping come into play for me. A noisy flashy bait also draws attention in low light or visible situations. I'm sure they can be caught deep but it would be a lot harder typically vs shallow.
  22. BPS PQ in 5.4:1 matched to either a 7' M Moderate Carbonlite for shallow to medium cranking or A 7 MH Crankin stick for deeper cranking
  23. My vote would go to Siebert Outdoors spinnerbaits
  24. Nice fish. I'd say 6lbs sounds about right
  25. I have the Revo winch on my deep crankin setup and Pro Qualifier on my medium to shallow. I like the winch not had any issues or complaints. But to be honest the PQ does just as good
