Big bass smashes Frog.
I have a few of his clone frogs which aren't as pricey...what is funny is i have been fishing frogs a lot this year and i was just thinking i need to dig those out since they are somewhere in my tackle closet lol

Big bass smashes Frog.
I am pretty sure that is Ken Daubert who makes the Capt Ken's clone frogs. The only reason why i say that though is because i know he is from florida and he uses spinning tackle. http://www.bass-frog.com

Deep diving jerkbaits in summer
I have used them with some success but the problem i run into is that there is a lot of grass where i fish and treble baits tend to get hung up more often than i would like. In areas with no vegetation, they do work well. On a side note i grew up in bucks county, levittown to be exact and learned to fish on the delaware river and penn warner with my dad.

Anyone use a kayak cart?
I just took a look and i didn't even notice that the aluminum cart is a completely different style...i like the steel version much better. Good thing i didn't checkout yet

Anyone use a kayak cart?
I haven't used a cart but i am thinking of getting one for the same reasons. I do know i am not getting a scupper cart as i know it puts added stress on an area of the kayak that is already a weak spot. I do like that one @A-Jay and I might give it a whirl.....hopefully the local cabelas has it in stock or I can do a ship to store. Do you have the aluminum or steel model? The aluminum one is actually cheaper which is what i would want anyways.

15lb. Hog!!
Definitely a pig....but do you really have to hold a 15lb bass with outstretched arms?

Leashes and Floats, Kayak People
It's part of the game when fishing in a kayak. I will say that after my first season of kayak fishing i haven't lost a rod or flipped my kayak. I am also not a fan of leashes at all. Just one more thing to get tangled in should you flip or have a treble snag.

Finding ponds
I use google earth combined with the county's GIS site to see ownership and go from there. Generally though i just go to public lakes so i don't have to worry about gaining access or ticking off some "owner".

Everybody's an expert
I prefer the unboxing videos myself....nothing cooler than seeing somebody open up tackle.

Which Autochart?
As always wayne, that is exactly the info i wanted. Thanks

Which Autochart?
I have a Humminbird Helix 5 SI GPS and am toying with the idea of getting the autochart to make some maps off the smaller lakes I fish here in central VA. I am not real sure which one actually works with my unit and if it is compatible with Apple and not PC. Any guidance would be great.

Some new wildy kayaks
well now pretty much every one of the big players except jackson. Wildy, Native, feel free and perception all have pedal drives.

Some new wildy kayaks
I saw the reverse deal on the hobie mirage drive and to me, it is purely there to say they have the capability. I would see myself needing reverse when fighting a fish and the last thing i would want to do is drop a hand to pull a wire to reverse the drive. The ATAK 120 is looking good and if i could sell my 140 for the price of a new 120 i just might do it.....the radar is nice as well.

Anyone here in to Subarus?
I had a 2001 outback limited...until the motor blew apart while going 75 on the highway......I'll stick to my Jeeps.

Line (Inches) Per Turn?
I use the CI4 2500 myself so maybe that is why it hasn't been a factor for me lol
-
Cork or foam rod handle?
I'll take a foam or synthetic grip over cork. The only rods i have that use cork are my fly rods.
-
Line (Inches) Per Turn?
I have actually never once taken into consideration IPT on my spinning reels.

Finesse Frogging... Going to change the game!
I am not surprised at your findings at all because i have been fly fishing using smaller frogs for years and have great success. I am forced to be more finesse like in my approach due to the tackle and it does result in some good fish. I guess now I'll have to try it on my conventional gear as well. Nice write up

Got out for a little night fishing...
Love the kayak. I have owned quite a few boats over the years and this is so far my favorite one. Great lake fishing platform.

Got out for a little night fishing...
Yeah she is building up a surplus right now so i imagine at some point, things will change but until then, i'll take any fishing trip when i can get it
