We live in a global economy and the longer we try and put a square peg into a round hole, the longer we will have inferior products made that cost more. Not saying all USA made products are inferior but they are 9 times out of 10 more costly than a comparable product.

Mojo is a good rod. I also had the 6'8" MXF spinning rod and it was used the most out of all my rods and never had an issue. I wil echo though that you want to get the rage at the price they are offering them right now. I picked up three of them a few years back and have been very very pleased with their performance. If i could justify another rod or two, I would be all over them right now for that price.

the thing about natural baits is that they make movement when still or coming to a stop, not moving. When moving they all pretty much streamline to a slender mass. For jigs they would definitely work, I use them for fly fishing all the time and they are my go to bait for the most part for smallies.

i think you can upgrade the citicas with different gears to get a lower ratio for lefties. I looked into it myself at one time and i want to say that depending on the model, curado gears will work. I have a BPS pro qualifier in a slow retrieve and it is a nice reel for the money, assuming you get it on sale but for full price I think there are better options out there.

I don't remember my first bigger bass but i always want to remember the next one I tend to remember situations and the effort needed that resulted in a fish more than the actual fish itself but sometimes they come together.

I really like Diascund and fished there a lot last summer. I talked to a guy who worked for the utilities department or whatever and he said it was drawn down about 8-10 feet for repairs to the dam or something and will be that way for a year or so. It is a tough and finicky lake. There are also a lot of bowfin and gar in there and usually that is what i have seen chasing he baitfish around. I usually don't do much fishing until i get past the second bridge. I have had some incredible days out there too but it is tough because i think the fish move around a lot since it is relatively shallow and flat and loaded with grass. All the way at the north end, about 4+miles from the ramp, is a huge lilly pad field that i have had great success. My guess would be it is dry though with how low the water level is. I need to get back out there again to check it all out as it is pretty close to me too. With the water level dropping i would think it would help to concentrate the fish somewhat.

d**n, good luck and I hope you miraculously find you missing tackle. I actually drove by not far from there today on my way to buckroe beach. on a semi-related note, how was the fishing? I have been out there once this year and the low water was crazy but i was out with my son so it was more just to paddle around and see what we could get to bite.

Define upgrade? when i bought my first kayak i did some stuff to it that was waste of time and money. My last kayak (number 5 in my life) i didn't do anything to it until i had about 100+ hours in the boat. Demo boats and get what you like and if it is out of your price range, save up and get it in your price range because you will get it eventually anyways.

i have other jigs with that hook design and it is pretty good. it seems to keep the fish buttoned up well.

i have a rod spooled up with the 8lb super soft and it is a great line. I wouldn't hesitate to put it on other rods that i wanted co polymer instead of my normal braid.

it is crazy and what is more crazy is the public's reaction to it all. he taped it and the videos are being posted everywhere. Have some decency people and don't forward or share that crap. It doesn't help anything any only serves to desensitize people even more to the brevity of the situation. I pray that the family can find peace somehow in all of this over time.

Kurt Warner was saying that shortening the preseason will have more injuries. The will pack in more play for starters when they aren't ready. It was also brought up that the lack of practice time may be hurting the players too as it isn't allowing them to get in better condition before playing. Who knows, I don't want a 18 game season, 16 is just fine and preseason is fine too. Let the younger players get out there and show what they are worth while the veterans get some gametime reps. People get hurt, it is part of the game not sure what you can do about it, especially the non contact injuries which it seems like many are having this season.

rapala skitterwalk is the easiest one for me but really it isn't that hard after a little practice.

I am not sure it makes much of a performance difference but it is noticeably quieter. I just spooled up a bait caster with some standard power pro that i had laying around and it was noisier than my super slick set ups. Not enough to make me want to change or anything but it was noticeable. Also, your braid shouldn't be eating into your guides and if it is, it is most likely a defect or an older rod. I have used braid going on 5+ years and have yet to see one rod have guides get worn down from braid use.

is this the super slick or the standard power pro? the standard power pro isn't as smooth as the suffix but the super slick is comparable if not more slick than the suffix in my opinion. All three are good braids though.

i was trying to find the world record and it looks like it measured 52.5" so this was in that category. Beautiful fish

I don't have insider access but those things are always interesting. QB is the one position that is pretty stable as far as quality goes. It's not very often that a bad QB has some miraculous season.

I think he does need a change of scenery but it isn't because of the coach. H and trouble with Shanahan and now trouble with Gruden. he brings it on himself with his me first mentality. This is really more to blame from Snyder though as he treated him as a god before he was drafted and after his first season. And he won't be going anywhere anytime soon unless they cut him or trade him (doubt anyone will want his contract) since the skins picked up the team option at around 14M for next season. He just isn't that good at reading defenses and I am not sure if he can get better. He says the right things sometimesbut I just don't see it on the field

Keep your head up, it happens. Don't give up though, if you have the time go ahead and volunteer there, especially if this is the field you want for your career. You will gain experience, contacts and learn if it is something you really want to do or if it is different once you get on the inside of the job.

How are you guys feeling about your respective teams? The Eagles have a good record and are putting up points but there are still lots of questions. One encouraging thing is that the depth on this team is pretty solid as can be seen once he second and third units come in and there really isn't a drop off in production. I am looking forward to the green bay game as this will be the dress rehearsal for the season.
