The Times They Are A Changin'
given the move towards online TV and the various ways to get your TV fix, the commercials are probably even more important than before as a source of revenue. I don't mind commercials because i am 99% of the time doing something else while i am watching like reading or screwing around on here etc...what does bother me is all the breaks during sports. In the NFL a team scores, commercial break, extra point, commercial break, kickoff, commercial break, then the start of the drive.

Bluegill Behavior?
That is an interesting thought because it would make sense but i have seen bass and sunnies swimming around next to each other with not even a concern. Of course eventually the bass will decide to eat and it must set off something because the sunnies will scatter, well at least the lucky ones will the others become the main course.

Don't Tell People About Your Fishing Spots.
enforcing that would be next to impossible as most have smart phones and pretty much every one has mapping possibilities. That does bring up the point though that if guides, who make their money day in and day out putting people on fish aren't super concerned, then why should we be worried?

Missed Some Good Action
I always enjoy reading your posts on your fishing days. Probably because i am jealous but i know that someday i will be able to do the same thing.

And the sad thing is decreasing the probability of either happening is basic and often forgotten or completely disregarded.

Bluegill Behavior?
All the advice here has been great and i will also add that if there is vegetation like lilly pads or grass you can also hear the bluegill popping. I know when i pull up to a lilly pad field the first thing i do is sit and watch for lily pads to be moving around and then i listen for the tell tale sound of the bluegills popping bugs off the surface. If i don't hear or see one of those i move on and if get both then i sit tight and work the areas well because i know there are fish in there waiting to be caught. And if you are ever looking to get into fly fishing or taking a kid out fly fishing nothing beats spawning blue gills. I was at a small pond in my office complex last year and caught fish on 37 consecutive casts and a few of those were LM. They are super aggressive when spawning and a slow sinking spider seems to do the trick on most days.

Better Hooksets?
I haven't noticed too much of a difference in my hook setting success when using a 6'6" or 7'1" rod from my kayak. Sure the added length will take up some more line but being close to the water the added line that is being pulled up isn't as much as when you are standing up high like on the deck of a bass boat. A few things i have learned in my years of kayak fishing are that extra sharp hooks are a must and braid really helps to eliminate any stretch that might be in the system when trying to drive home a heavier gauge hook like on a jig. really there are so many variables involved that the only way to determine what is causing your hook up ratio is to change one variable at a time and see if you see any differences but then of course you have to factor in that there are just days the bass aren't taking the bait as well as others.

Looking For A Ride!!
You may be pushing the limits of boat capacity if you start getting into a lot of gear but the majority of boats you will be fine. Stability is also a personal thing as i know when i first started kayak fishing what i thought was stable was really aircraft carrier like. as i became more comfortable with myself in a kayak my needs changed. Stability is still huge for me though as i really like being able to stand up to stretch my legs or for certain techniques and that is a major reason i went with a Wilderness systems commander.

Looking For A Ride!!
Last thing you want to do is put a kayak in the back of your vehicle after fishing. It is going to be wet and dirty and that will get all over you vehicle's interior. Maybe i missed it but why not load it on the roof? There are a ton of kayaks out there that work for bigger guys and they have all been mentioned above so i won't beat a dead horse there.

Is 30Lb Braid Overkill
i used 8lb diameter PP for a few seasons and only recently changed to 6lb diameter more to just try it out. The one advantage to the slightly heavier is that it won't take as much to fill your spool which potentially could get you more respools. As far as catching goes, i haven't noticed any difference.

Best Baitcaster Ratio For Crankbaits
It's easier for me to reel faster than it is slower and i only have one crank bait specific set up so my cranking reel is a 19 IPT. Don't bother looking at gear ratio as it is truly a meaningless number. Look at IPT for comparisons.

Well That Is An Interesting Signing...
I don't think it has because i know they were talking about last season. Here is what i found... "Teams will be permitted an Active List of 45 players and an Inactive List of eight players for each regular-season and postseason game. Provided, that if a club has two quarterbacks on its 45-player Active List, a third quarterback from its Inactive List is permitted to dress for the game, but if he enters the game during the first three quarters, the other two quarterbacks are thereafter prohibited from playing."

Well That Is An Interesting Signing...
The other thing is if they want to actually use Tebow he can't be listed as a number 3 starter because if he comes in prior to the 4th quarter, i think, you cannot play your other two QB the rest of the game. I think Bradford staying healthy will show that he is a good QB and he will have the best offensive line he has every played behind in Philly too
