I wonder if Brady will spend more than the 2M he would lose for his 4 game suspension in legal fees lol

I thought the same thing that this is an admission of guilt and may be a ploy to separate themselves from Brady a little bit as his appeal is a different process. I find it hard to believe that an arbiter will find them not guilty or change the punishment when the organization as a whole has agreed to the sanctions set forth by the league.
  3. I would only use a scupper hole mount if your kayak protects the transducer. For me I would rather go with an arm style if thru hull is not an option as it is easier to keep the transducer protected from harm that way.
  4. There really are no limitations as to fish finder use in a kayak. Now you will have to determine how you want to deploy your transducer and how large of a unit you want to use as the space is limited but other than that, there are no kayak specific FF to my knowledge. I am personally looking to upgrade to a Humminbird helix series when funds allow for it....
  5. Thanks, and this may sound like a dumb question but is the grass present in all the normal running lanes? From what I understand, the biggest problem with a jet in grassy areas is idling to a spot as it can draw the grass into the intake and make you have to clean it out. So I guess that brings up an additional question of how much idling around is there at that lake meaning lots of no wake zones etc...
  6. I drove by the lakes about 4 times this past weekend but didn't fish.....we were on our way to the river to go after shad and stripers Didn't catch any stripers but we caught a bunch of shad and a few decent sized channel cats. As we drove by my dad said he might join this year but he has an inboard jet boat for the river and wonders if the grass will cause a big problem for him....anyone know if the lake is pretty grassy and might interfere with a jet type motor?

It wasn't because they were videotaping in a place without a roof it was because they were videotaping from an unauthorized location. Don't you find it interesting that the evidence was destroyed after spigot too, hmmmm......There is also the whole video taping the rams walkthrough in the Super Bowl....don't think that because the Cheatriots are winning it is bringing hate. They are not the most successful team of the past 10 years and they benefit from playing in an extremely weak division year after year. There is always going to be a cloud of cheating over the organization until they prove otherwise and they had a shot this year and they blew it.
  8. Hmmm....I think Speedbead has it right in his signature line....

Did you actually read the report? it is so flawed and biased it is ridiculous. It has an obvious NE slant as can be seen by the terms and phrases used. It really is a joke.
  10. I like Trokars but they are pricey. I usually load up whenever I see them on sale somewhere and when they run out, I go to Gammys. I do find a better hookset percentage, albeit slightly better than the others but in certain applications, like soft jerk baits i think they excel. They do really trash plastics though because they are so sharp and cut through the plastic rather than puncturing.

I don't think the tuck rule is cheating as it was a legitimate interpretation of the rule which was later changed without much fanfare a few years back, much like the definition of a reception has changed over the years as well. The information is circumstantial but it is a lot of it and criminal cases have been decided on solely circumstantial evidence. I think he could have helped his case if he just turned over his phone and text messages or whatever in the beginning. They even offered to have his lawyer handle that part of the investigation. It will be interesting though because on appeal what new evidence does he have? if it actually gets to the court system, which i hope it doesn't, i have a feeling his phone records will be subpoenaed and then we will all know if he was hiding something. I still think he could have very easily said I was unaware of the rule and told them to let some air out because I like it that way, I'll take the punishment and move on. He likely wouldn't have to go through all this mess but i have a feeling he knows he is guilty and is not worried about the ramifications of cheating because it hasn't impacted them in the past. I believe that the Cheatriots as an organization, Belicheat and Brady all felly that they are bigger than the NFL. Interesting that the arbiter is Goodel too lol

I am not sure hockey is non-stop action, is it more than baseball sure but just because a guy is skating around doesn't mean it is more action than an NBA player walking the ball up the court. I do agree that hockey is the most active of the major sports but it isn't quite non-stop, it just looks like it because of the medium in which it is being played.
  13. I have used them in faster current and i did well with them but they weren't screw locks. I feel that kills the action more than the weight. The ones i had were just weighted gammys i believe without the screw lock.
  14. just cut it off and use a nail knot or go buy one of those pre made loops that look like the old chinese finger lock things with the heat shrink tubing over the connection. I have used both methods and they work well. Knowing how to tie a nail knot though can save a trip if you are in the middle of nowhere and what you describe happens. I don't think superglue would hurt anything though but you might want to test it out on an old piece or something first just to be sure. I vaguely remember the owner of the fly shop i used to work at putting super glue on the chinese finger lock type connectors but am not 100% certain. Also if you use a nail knot you can just use a heavy piece of mono and tie a perfection loop in the end and use a loop to loop connection to your leader.

it may be a kid's game but it is big time grown up money, injuries and careers.

Phillies fan here so football is all I have to talk about well that and the Sixers and their lottery chances. It is nice to see Howard showing some power at the plate though.
  17. What a tragic event and I am sorry for your loss. Given the limited information i have seen, I am shocked that it wasn't worse.

The report was convincing to me but that isn't really what I am talking about here. Belicheat and Brady have a good thing going but it has to raise the question if it is more Brady or Belicheat and I lean towards the latter given the backup seems to perform just as well.

I disagree. Coaches pick QBs and players who fit their system for the most part. now in the case of Brady he was an afterthought but the system they run is pretty much the same. And of course they want the backup to be successful but there is a reason they are the backup in the first place so when they come in and do as well as the starter doesn't that devalue the actual player and have more emphasis on the system they are using? Now we don't know if it will work or not but Philly is a prime example. Kelly got rid of what everyone thought was the key to the eagles offense after his first season and scored more points the next season. This year he got rid of Foles for another QB that he likes and traded the team's top rusher and signed a back who fits the offense a bit better. Nobody knows if it will work or not but seems like it is the system and then the coaches get the players to fit in the system. You can get fined for uniform violations and many players do every week. I think to get suspended though you have to do something pretty crazy in that realm. Lots of big money in what brand apparel a player can wear on the field, everything has to be NFL approved.

I am not saying Brady isn't a good QB because he is but the system that he is being utilized in has to play a large role if the backups can come in and perform not only well, but very good. And Cassell did win one AFC west title in 4 years and they weren't an abysmal team, more of an abysmal division really.

So say Brady does get suspended and is out the first 4 games. Garapolo or whatever his name in comes in and goes 3-1 or 4-0 does that hurt Brady even more and label him as a system QB? I mean Cassel went 11-5 when Brady was out and then if they go 3-1 that puts them at 14-6 without brady.....sounds like a system QB to me....
  22. most fans are innocent until proven guilty except cowboys fans.....guilty until proven innocent
  23. i just expected more of you than that...i mean with all the ammunition that is out there against the Eagles you picked the most tired argument...you must be a little rusty in your trolling tonight
  24. I generally don't hate other team's fans unless they earn that privilege
  25. nah, some of you fans are alright
