  1. whichever bait i happen to be throwing and my PB is on the line....i didn't think anyone ever lost small fish
  2. it's not quite that easy because the LSAT is no joke. If you are truly looking at law school, history or political science is always a good choice. A big part of being a lawyer is researching case law and building up those skills will only help you.
  3. You can be any major and get into law school, it is all about the LSAT and letters of recommendations. I have friends that went to law school with majors like History and others were liberal arts and one friend was even a biology major....only one actually stuck with it though.
  4. Typical response from a team who has been irrelevant for what, 25 years, let's bring up the only thing that the skins have going for them because we all know that their shot at winning anything is not gonna happen for a long time. And the ultimate goal is always to win it all but the chances of doing that with 7 wins is pretty slim so wins do matter..... And yes the Eagles don't have as Superbowl win but they have a few championships but no matter what, I will take the chances of the Eagles this season over the skins.....as would any person with any football knowledge.
  5. I have seen a few shows on the devil's river and it does look like an awesome place but logistics are semi-difficult from my research. And as far as Drew goes, he is probably the biggest influence on Jackson kayaks and their explosion into the fishing market.
  6. But they had to do something in order to take out that first mortgage
  7. there are a lot of "homecoming" games this season for players who will be extra motivated to play well.
  8. i graduated college with a liberal arts degree and three different minors so i am thinking that no matter what i do i am working in my field....of course i am about done my masters in education and will start teaching next fall.
  9. The big difference is you are equating a college education with being a hard worker. There are plenty of people who do not strive to be the next VP or CEO of a company and are content in the roles that they have wherever they are working. That doesn't mean they are not hard workers, because they are but they are not the ones who are pushing hard to improve. I do agree that performance is how you will be paid highly and experience goes in with that as well, the diploma isn't the end all be all but rather a starting point to help weed out some employees. A college degree helps to build experience and critical thinking skills and exposure to areas outside your norm that takes much longer to get just by experience. Working harder isn't always the answer but 99% of the time working smarter is. Remember, it is the base of the pyramid that allows it to be taller, not the people climbing the steps to the top. Don't want to derail the topic any further so i will bow out.
  10. so many on campus classes now have a huge online component that it is silly to discredit their effectiveness. I kind of like the online premise though because i am the one truly in control of my education. I could have easily skated by and not worked as hard as i did and still received good grades but I didn't. I made the effort to work hard and own my education. It isn't for everyone though that is for sure but it is more than a viable option for many and it is something that you will see more and more of as the years go by.
  11. Anyone been out to Diascund reservoir lately? I know they have drawn it down about 6 feetfor some dam repairs last time i checked it out a few months ago but was curious if anyone on here has been out there lately. I am gonna hit up tomorrow afternoon i believe.
  12. I'd ccheck your measurements because there is no way it is off by that much if it says it can hold 180yards of 12lb or you have too much backing on there. Also, 80 yards is a long cast, a lot longer than people think.
  13. well the only thing you can do is make sure your spool knot is good and go see what happens. Just remember that braid doesn't have high shock resistance so if you are getting close to the end of the spool you better thumb it to slow it down. Also, what reel is that because that seems like a low capacity for what equates to about 12lb test.
  14. Exceptions do not make the rule as you are implying. For every Bill Gates there are probably 50 other successful CEOs who went to college and most likely post graduate school too. When i worked at a large bank there was not one VP i knew, in this company that was about 6 levels from the top and probably 25 from the bottom, that did not have at least a Master's degree. You can definitely get into a company at a basic position and work your way up but having a degree generally starts you way higher up the ladder. I was 6 credits shy of my Bachelor's degree when i started at the bank and worked my way up and on the way finished my degree. I got promoted about 5 times in that stretch only to be at the level that many recent graduates started at, this alone increases earning potential over a lifetime as i was making more than double what i started at. Education has a direct correlation to income and it has been proven year after year. And trust me, i have known plenty of college graduates that have zero ambition and/or drive but they make good money because they are educated and are in a career that pays well and would not be accessible without a degree.
  15. it is no different than any other heavier rig that you cast. I have never adjusted the amount of line on my reels based on the baits i am throwing but I am also not throwing those types of baits too often. I would doubt you would be able to cast out all the line on your reel but if you do, and it is a technique you will be doing often then you may want to invest in a higher spool capacity reel. My citicas do fine when i throw alabama rigs and besides, i really don't want to throw super far as long range hooksets have a lower hook up percentage for me.
  16. The only way a person or company knows a school is online is if you tell them. Most schools have both online and on campus programs and when you get a diploma, it doesn't say university of XYZ-online. Also the implication that online degrees are not from accredited institutions is not true. I am sure there are some that are not but many are and the same can be said for traditional institutions as well. All that being said, I received my undergraduate degree from your typical college campus. I am almost finished my masters in education from an online program that is accredited. I decided on the online route for the same reasons yo are contemplating. I needed to have a flexible schedule so i could maintain working as long as possible. In the school i am student teaching, there are at least 3 others who have a masters degree from the same school I am attending and when i was working fat a bank or a fortune 500 company, there were many people who had either online undergrad or graduate school and some even had both. Just make sure you do your research on the programs and their accreditation and go from there. One word of advice though, if you do an online program you have to be vey disciplined and don't take any breaks. Keep trucking along until you are done. I know many people who have taken breaks and never return. It isn't going to be easy as i can attest to for the past 18 months but in the end, if you get the degree you want because you want it then it will all be worth it.
  17. Wayne is a machine!!
  18. Aren't you a redskins fan? that must be depressing but i guess the only way to stay relevant in current football conversations is to bring up other teams...oh well maybe the deadskins get that elusive 7th win that they have only seen once since 2008
  19. Zero guaranteed money so there is no cap money wasted
  20. Active bass can hit slower or reaction baits, it depends on what they want. I have had days where the bass were really active on hitting texas rigged creature baits but crank baits and spinnerbaits brought no bites....so i guess what i am saying is, it all depends
  21. That would be a cool place to work for....i have a few of their items.
  22. Sponsors are a by product of success not the other way around. If you win, and can ultimately promote product and increase their revenue, then the sponsors will be there.
  23. Well i am guessing you meant college and not collage so i will answer accordingly. It is ultimately up to you to make that decision but a professional fishing career is something worth striving for but as in any career, it is nice to have a fall back plan and finding one that is complimentary as to being a pro fisherman like marketing or something else. I know of a few pros who are day traders which helps to supplement their income.
  24. I refuse to look at the Lombardis while i am there though..i have a buddy who lives in boston and he said is should come up so i looked at flights and they are surprisingly cheap, like less than $100 roundtrip so i just might do it.
  25. Schedules released tonight and i am kind of surprised that they have the Eagles Cowboys games being played so early in the season. It seems like usually they play in the last few weeks of the season but this year they are all done by week 9....and i think i might be taking a trip up to Foxboro to see the eagles play the pats this year
