soft bodied swim baits are also an effective bait in submerged grass beds. They are especially good when you have a sensitive rod set up and you can feel the grass as it hits the tops and then you can work the bait a little deeper too.

The rage series uses micro guides and the avid uses standard sized guides. Some don't like the micro guides, I have not seen an difference in performance from my rods with standard sized guides. I have not done a lot of research as to why the use of micro guides has been more prevalent lately other than the weight savings.

It is interesting that betting lines are pretty much a pick'em game. Prop bets are crazy too as usual. The patriots haven't won a road playoff game in a long time so this should be interesting. Seattle is going to have it's hands full with gronk over the middle as that is the one area of weakness that they have shown all season long. Seattle is probably going to try and control the clock and of course, both teams are going to have to limit turnovers if they want to win. I think we are in store for a good game, much better than last year's blowout.

I don't know anything about the skeeter rods but i do know about the rage and mojo. I had mojo rods for a few seasons and when they had the special on buy 2 get one free for rage rods 2 years ago i picked up three. I will say that the Rage rods are a big step up from the Mojo and unless you like the avid full guides and full handle i see no reason to go up to the avid as they both use the same blank. Saves you a few bucks and gets the same performance. I also have not seen any quality control issues in the three rods that i own.

these are different versions. the new ones are shallow and deep. they had some other scatter raps that were similar but i am most wanting to try that deep one myself.

Knowingly disregarding the law and people's wishes on their property is what gives fisherman a bad name. If you take your chances, why not take your chances by asking permission. I have been denied permission on a few lakes where they specifically stated that too many people already fish there without permission and they have to run them off so they do not want anyone to fish there to prevent any possible misconceptions that it is perfectly ok to fish there without permission. So to you, i say thanks for making my permission obtaining more difficult by knowingly ignoring laws and people's wishes.

Definitely worth it and even more so at that price. I picked up three of them 2 season ago when St. Croix had their buy 2 get one free deal going and they have been great rods and I haven't had any issues.

These kinds of posts puzzle me. Every forum isn't a bunch of the same guys who are talking all the time. there are lots of new people and they have questions. Sure we all get tired of what is the best $100 rod or why should i buy a shimano over a diawa or lews but it doesn't matter. it is the exchange of information that leads people to become better educated about the sport we all are fans of. There are plenty of threads i don't click on because i know it has been said before but low and behold it has 4-5 pages worth of information. And the whole median age thing is plain silly....i don't care what age someone is if they can give me some pointers on techniques i may not know much about. i guess i always feel like these types of posts are a passive aggressive attempt at telling people not to post because it inconveniences them to scroll past a few threads when they visit the site.

I''l take a guy who gets lost in the moment of play stomping on a guy before i take someone who is calculating and trying to get away with something to give them an advantage. I doubt Suh said to himself if he gets the chance he is gonna boot stomp a player where to deflate the balls or tape practice or whatever takes a calculated effort and coordination of others who need to be involved to make it work. kind of like the difference between manslaughter and 1st degree murder lol

You can't have a legacy if it is under the cloud of cheating. And yes, i misunderstood your intent. There are just too many of these problems with this team for me to think they are a legit team. They won a few close games this season and all i can wonder is if they have been cheating all along which helped them to be a better team than they truly are

I don't think the insinuation that spy gate was not valid is true. they were heavily fined and lost a draft pick, that is not a witch hunt nor is it in some type of gray area of the rule book. They cheated and Beicheat knew about it and was behind it, plain and simple. So any legacy that has been created will most definitely have a cloud of cheating of it because, they were in fact, cheating. Interesting that a guy like Barry Bonds, who i am not a fan of, i don't think has ever tested positive or admitted to taking PEDs is automatically labeled a villain yet the Cheatriots are labeled as winners and excuses made for their blatant disregard for football and the rules.

it's not that it impacted this game but it is a rule that was broken, just a matter of who was involved. But if it is found to be true and facilitated by the Cheatriots then it does bring into question other close games and that Indy is said to have brought this up to the league earlier in the season. That leads me to two conclusions, the league brushed it under the rug and did nothing about it or the league did talk to them about their cheating and the did nothing in which case the penalty should be much stiffer than what people think. Anyone else find it interesting that Goodell and the NFL sure is taking a long time to come up with a finding but in other cases it was only a matter of days before a decision and punishment was levied?

What type of trout and water are you targeting, native, wild or stockers? all those will help to determine what type of flies should be "standards"

This was a weird storm and many of the reliable weather forecasters even got it wrong as far as where the brunt of the storm was going to hit..the guy i like to follow came out and said he blew this one and from following him for quite a few years now, that doesn't happen too often.

try living in Virginia....i made the mistake last year of going on my normal weekly grocery store trip when a storm was predicted. it was nuts....never saw so many carts full of frozen pizza and beer before. I guess in that type of hunker down snowstorm (which in VA is about 2" by the way) the electricity stays on so you can cook your pizza

well when guys are at the level he is at, the minute details of gear make a difference or it could also just be in his head too but that is almost important as anything.

What is a braid ready spool? I never use braid as a backer but it does make sense. I would also venture a guess that unless you have all brakes turned completely off that the difference of that lighter spool is irrelevant.

That is why you have to get the tax return situation in writing on the custody agreement.....i have seen a few of my buddies do the same thing then went in and amended the documents so that they alternate years.
