deecting a lot of strikes is about the process of elimination....you eliminate what the bait normally feels like, how the line is behaving etc..and subsequently set the hook.

I have had smallies come up and hit dragonfly imitations on my fly rod before the fly settles on to the water surface. Largemouth, usually wait till they hit at least.

I can't really argue with your points too much but i do wish that the division winners had a little more of an advantage other than home field in the first round. Maybe move it to a 7 game series or give them 4 out of 5 at home. The new structure with two wild cards is a little better in that the wild card teams generally have to burn their #1 starter though.

Hard to believe a team can win the world series after being a mere 7 games over .500 and having a one man pitching rotation lol Kind of makes you wonder if the wild card is good for the game as the team that is hot at the end can win it all and the regular season, all 162 games, are not as meaningful.

if i wonder what size i go to the manufacturer of whatever bait and see what size comes on the bait...keeps it simple and accurate

Once you get to the areas to fish, how is it any different? I guess i am missing that part because for me, other than holding boat position when fishing deeper water i fish the same from a boat or kayak.

there are other boards out there that are kayak specific and as mentioned already, it is really about rigging. Other than that, fishing is fishing and wit hate advent of so many boats that provide the angler the ability to stand up, there are no techniques that cannot be accomplished as easily from a kayak as they can from any other type of boat.

Picking out a kayak is all about deciding what features you want and ranking them in order of most to least important. Then you can take a look at kayaks that meet as many of those features on paper, then go out and test paddle or pedal them and make a decision. Each manufacturer has many boats and they are designed for different purposes or for different people so to generalize any specific brand as a lake brand or a river brand is not a fair assessment.

Most guys at the lower levels can hit, including pitchers so that really isn't that rare. Congrats to the Giants even though i can't stand them and was pulling for the Royals lol I do like Sandoval though.....

I try to get as close as possible to not spook the fish, get good hooks and keep me in position for working the area, distance varies depending on the cover or structure encountered much like you mentioned.

if the grass is dying off find places where it isn't and that is where the fish will be. dying grass limits the amount of oxygen in the water and moves the fish elsewhere. if you can find green grass it is a sure bet that there are fish there.....

Crazy game by two good teams...the Eagles defense let up two big, bad plays and bad times. Folks threw his customary bad interceptions. All in all though, this was a game like the Eagles have played all year only they lost......oh well, time to root for the skins tomorrow night and get ready for the Texans.
