What To Do About A Broken St. Croix Rod?
I stand corrected. I figured that since the blank was the same as the avid series that they would have the same cost for replacement.

What To Do About A Broken St. Croix Rod?
If it is broken by your own fault like you stated then you can use their gold star plan and pay $75 plus shipping to them and they will replace it for you.

Fishing Bottom Baits In Current
My first question would be if your bites are coming in closer to the shore then why focus on the areas where you aren't getting bit? Maintaining bottom contact in current is always tricky but it can be done if needed. You need to find the right weight that will hold the bait where you want it to be and go a little heavier if needed. I have the best luck with football shaped shaky heads or drag gin heads.. With that being said, I rarely want my bottom baits to stay on the bottom in current but rather in the eddies and seams. In current i prefer baits that float along in the current much like food flowing through would be with my baits of choice being flukes, stick baits etc...

Swiming A Senko
I use mine as soft jerk baits probably 95% of the time and catch a lot of fish. I also read an article by Alton Jones that says he would swim them with a more steady retrieve during the spawn when the conditions didn't warrant sight fishing. Once he had a hit and didn't hook up, he knew a nest was there and would fish the area with other baits or the yum dinger more slowly to entice strike

Throwing Away Hooks, Especially Treble Hooks
i usually put them in a box or wrap them in something so nobody gets stuck. You would think they would have some sort of hook recycling program like they do for line

Ms 150 Charity Bike Ride-Richmond Va
Well I took a week off due to making a patio in my back yard and getting ready for about 35 people to come over for my son's 4th birthday party. Well not sure what go into me but i decided well let's see where my breaking point is so far....I added in about 20 more miles from my longest ride as of yet and my lack of food and hydration definitely hurt me on my last 15 miles. The middle of my back actually started to cramp which was really weird and it prevented me from taking full breaths. Oh well, it is what it is and i think if i was better prepared with food and pre ride dehydration i would have been much bette roof. My legs and butt were doing fine considering i was in the saddle for a shade over three hours. Anyways here is the link to the workout and to donate to the cause if anyone is interested http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Bike/VARBikeEvents?px=4544103&pg=personal&fr_id=22247 http://www.mapmyride.com/workout/602736697

Summer Clothing
Nope you are wrong on that one. Cooling is done via evaporation of your sweat. Certain materials will wick better and spread the moisture over a larger surface area which will speed up the process hence making you feel cooler. I asked the Columbia rep about the omni freeze stuff and after he gave me a shirt he said it was mostly a new marketing ploy and it was working. I used the stuff and the fit sucked for me and I didn't notice anything more cool than my Patagonia so the omni-freeze was given away to a buddy of mine. The other thing I noticed is whatever those discs are that hold the sweat which aids in the cooling seemed to make the shirt heavier. I don't want more moisture being held in the fabric that's why I wear synthetic wicking clothing in the first place. If you want a shirt that holds moisture just wear cotton, it holds about 4-5 times it's weight in water and save yourself about 30 dollars.

Summer Clothing
All synthetic clothing will provide a cooling effect as it wicks away moisture and evaporates more quickly. personally, i think the columbia stuff is a marketing gimmick as i couldn't tell any difference, same goes for the clothing touting it's SPF protection. All clothing has an SPF factor hence the reason there is the term farmer's tan To me it is about fit and durability and patagonia is tops in my mind but there are other good ones out there too.

Summer Clothing
I like patagonia 1 long sleeve shirts myself. Super lightweight and their wicking properties are top notch and will keep you cool on a hot day like no other shirt out there. They also last forever, i have a few that are over 10 years old and still going strong.

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, And Ian Kinsler Apparently Hates Texas
Dude, baseball players miss an entire season when they break an ankle and football players are back in 6 weeks, they are wimps and always have been. I saw a list of the craziest baseball injuries that led to the DL and some were pretty ridiculous but i think the best was "nintendo thumb" dude strained his thumb tendon playing too much madden and was put on the 15 day dl

6:4:1 Gear Ratio.....ugh?!!!
to be able to do a second hook set it usually means you have slack in the system somewhere which means lost fish. I would also agree with everyone else....treble baits don't need a hero hook set. Also the difference between a 6.4:1 and a 7.1:1 you are talking about 3" per turn which is not much at all. A faster ratio reel wouldn't have helped you in my opinion

St. Croix Avid 6'8" M Xf
you bring up a great point about not noticing it till you fish both a F and an XF. I had a mojo MF and then when i got the MXF i could tell a big difference, but in a good way.

The Beer Is Brewing, The Trash Is Flying, And Ian Kinsler Apparently Hates Texas
He'll probably get 10 games too....when i first hear the story i wasn't sure who it was but expected it to be a guy like Harper but then I remembered he was injured and saw who actually did it....totally classless. the hard part will be determining intent unless he comes out and says he did it intentionally which i don't think he did.

St. Croix Avid 6'8" M Xf
spinning rod i take it? if so, i think that model is the best in the mojo lineup and i have the rage which is built on the same blank as the avid and couldn't be happier. Great rod at a good price. I use it mostly for shaky heads and weightless plastics and never noticed any pulling the bait away from the fish.

Sunglasses On A Budget
Forget the cheap sunglasses and look for deals on the good ones. A great site to find closeouts on sunglasses is www.sierratradingpost.com they don't have the fishing costas too often but they have smith which are pretty good for a plastic lens. if you sign up for their deal flyer or do a search for coupons you can usually find 30% off pretty easily.

Starting To Build Credit?
I don't think it is making anyone a loser to be debt free but if I am loaning someone money, just because they are debt free by no means they have the ability to repay the debt.

Power Pro Snapping On Backlash
braid has no stretch which means no shock resistance in the situations mentioned.

River Fishing A Senko
Nose hooked 4" baits always produce year round for me. Dead sticked in the current or twitched back like a jerk bait.

Starting To Build Credit?
Insurance does use credit in a different way to determine rates but as important, if not more, is your insurance claim history. And also not having a credit card doesn't mean you don't have credit, it is just the most common way to have credit. The best things to build up your score are student loan payments and a mortgage. Getting a mortgage can actually increase your score. Everyone is making this a little too complicated though, even thought he calculations are somewhat convoluted, get a card, loan or whatever, and pay your bills on time and you will have a good credit score. Another thing to remember is to never close old accounts that you no longer use that don't have any type of annual fee. This helps show any lenders that you have long standing accounts.

At Home Rod Storage
I have one of the cheapo okuma rod racks. http://www.amazon.com/Okuma-Expandable-ABS-Rod-Rack/dp/B000Z9OACA I have it split into two and mounted to the wall in my shed. Not the nicest thing out there but it was cheap and it gets the job done.

Starting To Build Credit?
You don't have to get one unless you plan on using credit a some point. I like to use mine for the cash back myself. Over the course of he year I can get enough rewards to pay for a good chunk of my Christmas shopping.

Starting To Build Credit?
Curious which banks? Credit Union? I checked Citi, Capital One and Barclay myself.
-
Starting To Build Credit?
Most credit card companies will not allow you to do that anymore. Most will only allow you to pay 10% more than your current balance. I have a few different companies cards and none would let me go over 10% of the current balance except my Barclay card which would let me go $500 over the current balance. Some even have stipulations around how frequently you can pay each month too. The advice of saving your limit is a good one but I will take it a yep further and say put that $700 in a savings account, earn a little interest and pay off your bill in full at the end of the billing cycle. Then you earn some interest instead of paying it

What Do You Use The Majority Of The Time When You're Frogging: Hollow Body Or Solid Body Frog? What Are Some Of Your Favorites?
Hollow 10% Solid 90% I like the bog baits of various styles and they have floating versions and slow sink ones but I am partial to their floating versions as it lets me stop them in pockets and openings in the lilly pads or grass.
