Fly Rod Outfit For Bass ?
I know i do I have two primary outfits for bass, a 7wt and a Sage Bass II largemouth rod which is somewhere around a 10wt or so with a specific line that is more like a shooting head than your traditional fly line. Both serve their purpose for me and do a good job. I prefer the Sage rod when I am fishing anything super wind resistant, it is windy or I am fishing heavier cover like lilly pads but the 7wt is nice in almost all the other situations i encounter. I also have an intermediate sinking line that i use on the 7wt for when i want to go a little deeper than about 5-6 feet or want to use non weighted flies with a deeper presentation.

Little Muscle Spasms In My Left Bicep...
You also were probably holding the weed whacker in a way that has the muscles being used partially and not fully extended or retracted which can do it too. You can also think of it as doing a ton of reps with little weight. Kind of like when i explain people that cycling is doing about 20,000 squats at half of your body weight over the course of a ride.

Little Muscle Spasms In My Left Bicep...
it is probably from over use and your body is just getting used to the physical aspect of the job. the other thing it could be is dehydration so make sure you are drinking enough water and even some gatorade throughout the day as that will also help.

Thanks. Road riding is somewhat a different beast and I try to stay on less traveled roads for the most part but i used to commute to work too and that could get a little dicey at times. The things i have learned are have a red light, blinking on your seat or off the rear of your bike somewhere and don't hesitate to take up a lane if you need to. If i am in traffic and turning at a light I am always in the center of the line until i make my turn. I also follow all normal laws that cars do for one, because yo hare supposed to and two because it is safer that way. Bikes have as much right to be on the road as anything else and cars are supposed to give at least 3 feet give or take when passing but like I always tell everyone who asks about traffic, I may be right in what i was doing but that really doesn't matter when i am in a ditch somewhere because someone hit me. A lot of road bikers and groups think they own the road and ride 2 or 3 side by side and don't get single file when cars come and this, while illegal, just makes the interactions worse. I have been lucky and never been in an accident but definitely had some close calls with most involving riding in the city and having someone open their car door so I have become pretty adept at looking at side view mirrors The other situation is going straight through a light and someone turning left in the opposite side of the road. The last time that happened i had to lock up both brakes and the force of the stop actually blew both of my tires and i was within about a foot of the min-van....i should have kicked it

I'm Smoke'n,,,,,
We are talking about the same thing. I cook all my meat low and slow in the 225-250 range depending on what meat i am cooking that particular day. I also use wood chunks that I get from an orchard so I know where they are coming from and use all hardwood charcoal and no lighter fluid. I am sure there aren't as many negative reviews one in part to the price as you mentioned but the other is, like I said, it is an outdoor oven. To me there is a reason they are not allowed in BBQ competitions, you set the temp and don't have to do anything else. I like the process and being able to manage things without setting a dial but to each their own. The important thing is how it tastes and if it meets your needs, another thing i like about BBQ, i can make it how i want when i want when i want, not to mention it is way cheaper too.

That ride burned about 2000 according to my mapmyride app. I rode 45 miles and burned 3700 the ride before this one....I can pretty much eat whatever but trying to stay away from junk which makes it harder because the calories in "good" food isn't nearly as much and I am not big on eating really but I like to cook...go figure I am starting to add some miles on now so calories are not going to be an issue other than making sure I have enough lol

i have had some good Q on an electric too but it isn't the same to me. it is just an outdoor oven that you can put wood in for smoke. I guess i like the process as much as the result so i will stick to my Weber Smoky Mountain Cooker

Hobie Mirage Pedal Kayaks - A Little Rant
yeah that is what i was thinking too. the torqueedo is pretty pricey for sure but it is still cheaper or the same cost as getting a pedal kayak....at least that is what i keep telling myself when i try and convince myself to get one for my commander

Hobie Mirage Pedal Kayaks - A Little Rant
Yeah i saw those deep blue ones on their website....bet they are crazy expensive.

Hobie Mirage Pedal Kayaks - A Little Rant
i saw a guy on Diascund reservoir who had two torqueedo outboards on what looked like a 18-20' jon boat and he was flying around....and this is an electric only lake.

Hobie Mirage Pedal Kayaks - A Little Rant
Nah i would have to disagree on that one. Pedaling a kayak is much more efficient than paddling and if you take two people at the same fitness level who never were in a kayak I would bet that the pedal kayak would be more efficient than a paddle kayak. Take two experienced paddlers and i bet you would see the same result.

Working The Drag With Lunkers.
For spinning rods i most definitely keep it that you can pull line off the spool, otherwise what's the point of having a drag.
-
Working The Drag With Lunkers.
Personally i never mess with the drag with a fish on as it can lead to problems as you noted. Other than that, I don't do anything scientific as it is just by feel for me with it being stouter for certain applications and less for others like crank baits and treble hooked baits.

Took a two week hiatus from riding due to my bike getting much needed tune up and going to myrtle beach last week but i was out there today. Was planning on taking an easy pace and do around 25 miles and it was accomplished. 25.08 miles at a 16mph pace. It was pretty amazing how much of a difference a complete tear down and rebuild with all new cables, handlebar tape, wheels trued, new cassette and chain makes. Up to $675 in donations too. http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Bike/VARBikeEvents?px=4544103&pg=personal&fr_id=22247 http://www.mapmyride.com/workout/620134321

Hobie Mirage Pedal Kayaks - A Little Rant
What paddle kayak were you using when you toasted the fastest pedal drive boat and how long of a distance? The faster kayaks are not as good to fish from and definitely cannot be stood up in to fish so unless you were paddling a boat like a commander, slayer or other stable boat that you have the same features in it is not a fair comparison. And there is no way anyone can maintain the same speed paddling in a like boat for as long as you can in a pedal drive as the two muscle groups are not the same. you can use your legs a whole lot longer and without as much fatigue as your back and arms that you would use to paddle. I also noticed you mentioned holding position and the situations you mentioned are true if your kayak does not have the ability to go in reverse but with the propel drive you have that ability. All boats have their place and once you get into the sport a little bit more deeply, it is almost a given you will have multiple boats for varying conditions. I had 2 boats, one for rivers and one for flat water. Sold the river boat, gonna get another and most likely going to add a pedal drive (propel probably) to compliment my commander for flat water situations.

Deep Grass In Clear Water
keel weighted hook with soft plastic swim baits work for me in similar conditions but not quite as deep and they don't catch on the grass too much.

Slip Bobber Rig
You can also tie one yourself if needed. I usually tie a nail knot with a piece of braid and it works just fine when i don't have the bobber stops already mentioned.

Water In Kayak Hull After First Trip
Water gets near the hatches, trust me You have scuppers and you have a paddle that drips water into the boat and launching can also get water on there. it is just part of the deal of having a kayak. In my commander i have had a few gallons in mine when i primarily fly fish for a day because of the water coming off the line and paddle drips throughout the day.
-
Water In Kayak Hull After First Trip
8-12oz isn't a big deal and is somewhat normal for any kayak. You can check your hatches to make sure they are tight. The screws in the back of the kayak are generally for a rudder and don't even breach the hull in most kayaks but just into the plastic itself. I wouldn't worry about it unless you are taking in gallons over the course of a day.

I haven't seen those smokers before what kind of fuel do they use?

Hobie Mirage Pedal Kayaks - A Little Rant
The fins can be made to be flat against the hull when needed. I personally do not feel it is fair to have a paddle powered kayak compete against a pedal powered on in a tournament as they are completely different beasts. And anyone who argues it doesn't make a difference probably owns a pedal drive boat and all the reasons they got the boat are because of the advantage it gives them. It is also a way to get people into kayaks who may have shoulder issues but don't want the hassle of a full blown bass boat. I am personally in the market for a pedal driven kayak because there are quite a few areas i fish that are pretty lengthy paddles and having a pedal drive would make them more manageable. I am not look at the Hobie though as I am just not a fan of the fins and not being able to go in reverse so I am looking hard at the various native propel systems.

Old Town Or Hobie?
It probably has something to do with the only shows that consistently show kayaks are sponsored by Hobie. I am personally looking to get a pedal drive yak this fall most likely but am leaning towards the propel system myself.

Low Profile Baitcast Reel For Catfishing?
What size cats are you catching? the james has blues in the 100lb range and flatheads over 50lbs. So if your gear can handle that or if you are going after smaller fish then you should be fine. Bass gear just isn't up to snuff for that size of fight in my opinion. I fish for catfish a few times a year but after going out once i decided having a bait runner type reel would be helpful so that is what i bought and don't regret the decision at all.
