  1. talk to him and my next question is how did he become lake association president in the first place?
  2. Went out today to ride and was trying to utilize my heart rate and cadence sensor to help manage my effort. I kept my heart rate in the aerobic zone for pretty much the entire ride and cadence was between 75-85 for the most part of the ride. Turned out it did help and i felt stronger throughout and didn't feel like I was working too hard. Ended up doing just under 30 miles and maintained a 17.2 MPH average based on the GPS. Not too bad and definitely still have some left in the tank which is good cause now i have to go cut my grass..... http://www.mapmyride.com/workout/665579691 Still time to donate everyone and every little bit helps. http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Bike/VARBikeEvents?px=4544103&pg=personal&fr_id=22247 Still not at the $1,000 mark but getting closer.....
  3. I try, once in a while....
  4. I figured that would be a breeze since don't you pretty much leg press that every time you get up from a chair??
  5. it is expensive as hell and just now becoming available.....$300 for that seat is a little pricey if you ask me unless it ties my lures on for me and wipes the sweat from my brow as needed
  6. He is gonna get wrecked when he faces NFL talent, assuming he even plays. The browns seem to be pretty steadfast on Hoyer starting in the preseason. Guess we will see though. He might change my mind but i doubt it.....
  7. He is a train wreck. I have said it all along, Ryan Leaf 2.0 He comes from a ton of money so that is not a motivator to him, he would rather be on TMZ than hoisting a lombardi trophy. He might be average, if he doesn't get suspended first and will probably just float around the league as a backup if he wants to still play.
  8. Flex players for me are usually RB unless the league counts return yards then i am going for a guy who gets some touches in the normal offense and also the return game. I never take a QB first round.
  9. I rarely fish spinnerbaits but i picked up a few this past week because I thought the lake i have been fishing it would work. Well, it did work and i caught more in my last trip out than i had my previous 3 when i didn't. So with that being said, yeah it will work, maybe
  10. Yeah it really is. I could do the ride right now but would be hurting most likely on day two. I am starting next week to really up my mileage and go on back to back days. Should be fun
  11. i have the most success when reeling it just fast enough to keep it on the surface.
  12. Can I ask why you want a SINK instead of a SOT? From what you are describing i would think a SOT would better suit your needs. I am not familiar with all of the SINKs out there so i cannot recommend one boat over another
  13. I think shady does even better this year as far as TD's go but maybe not total yards since he has sproles now to spell him a little bit. Andy Reid always relies heavily on his RB so Charles is a good choice too.
  14. Mocassin blue, watermelon (various varieties) pearl (rarely use) and bubblegum. those seem to work for me.
  15. In a nutshell you get a group of people together to form a league. Then you each can build your team through a draft from any plater in the league. there are tons of different ways that goes but that is the gist of it all. Then each week you face off against another player in the group and you put your best players on your "team". Points are assigned for certain things and then whoever has the most points wins. I win enough each year to pay for my NFL ticket package Some leagues are real pricey and have crazy rules too....each one is different and totally customizable.
  16. After attempting a ride on Monday where i had a flat, no biggie really except my brand new spare had a hole too I decided to go out today. Weather was pretty nice and even though I had mexican food last night (not the best pre-ride food) I ventured out this morning. Ended up riding about 49 miles at right around 17mph which I am pleased with. One thing that was cool is that this was my first ride with my new Garmin edge 500 bike computer which has a heart rate monitor, GPS and cadence (counts each pedal stroke) meter. A lot of information that i am not sure what to do with yet but I want to start training using heart rate zones a little more so this will help. Anyways, here is the link to the ride and the link to donate if you are still thinking about it http://www.mapmyride.com/workout/661877073 http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Bike/VARBikeEvents?px=4544103&pg=personal&fr_id=22247
  17. I won 3 out of my 4 leagues last year with picks varying from 1 to 6. I move a lot of players often and take the approach of picking up certain positions weekly like defense and TE unless i have graham or davis. My first pick last year was mccoy and then as soon as vick went down i picked up roles and had him on my bench and when he got hot, i rode him to the championship in 3 leagues. People thought i was crazy picking him up but as i counted my winnings they didn't find it quite as funny
  18. nose hooked 4" stick bait will always produce. Next would be your pic of craw plastic on a draggin' head and then of course there are the top waters of which i prefer buzz baits myself. On the fly rod i am chucking poppers, gurglers, rabbit hair leeches, claw dads and some type of minnow imitation like a clouser or EP baitfish fly.
  19. Happens pretty often on the rivers I fish for smallies.
  20. I am a big fan of them and have caught fish year round with them. My favorite color is clown for the most part but have done well with the minnow colored ones as well. I also like the deep running versions. One thing i will say is that they do not suspend great in warmer water so i usually change out the hooks to a size larger or to a 2 or 3x just to get a little extra weight to help them suspend.
  21. i have no clue about the series but you have to give your SSN#? that seems a little shady to me unless there are huge payouts involved and they need it for tax reporting purposes
  22. Going to an NFL game will probably run you $200 by itself but I will say if you have never been to a game it is worth every penny. Make sure you tailgate and do it up right. The speed of the game and size of the players is so much different in real life as opposed to on TV.
  23. I don't think they do anything other than maybe attract them. I have a friend who would fish at night and drop a submersible light in the water which attracted the baitfish and then the gamefish afterwards....he did it for crappie mainly but definitely caught a few bass with it as well
  24. Sounds like you found the culprit to me. As far as wearing a life jacket is concerned, it is up to you if you want to wear one. I usually wear mine but in brutally hot days i will take it off or if i am paddling upstream on ar over to float back. To me it is no different than being on the front deck of a bass boat and fishing without one. Now in cold water, anything under 60 or so i am wearing it the entire time. I just find it funny how people are so quick to get on people in a kayak or canoe about wearing a PFD but nobody says anything about a person on the deck of a bass boat.
  25. Cliff Lee is signed through 2015 and if he pitches 200 innings next year he has a vesting option that requires a big buyout if i remember correctly. So i guess he is a rental but more of a longer term rental. I think the phillies are not as far off as people think but with Amaro at the helm, they are pretty much dead ducks.
