  1. I am a view new content link clicker as well...
  2. Great...like i said you are having a unique experience and one that i have never experienced so kudos to you. Enjoy your mono and I will enjoy my braid and flouro....just be sure to post up when the big one gets away or you break at a knot after the third year of mono being on your reel....
  3. And just think, this year if you adjust your deductions and just save the money you can buy it without having to wait and not have to pay taxes
  4. probably because of the cost, limited hook and weight size combos and you can peg a weight and get the same result if needed. Also even with a pegged weight the bait has the ability to move around a little but creating more action. on this rig that is not the case.
  5. if everyone stops buying new boats eventually there will be no used ones... I would buy new for the warranty and peace of mind. Now if i was planning on upgrading in a few years then i would probably go used but otherwise i want to get the boat and have it as long as i can.
  6. man, you guys have some scary stuff.....never had a bad water based experience but more than one while rock climbing
  7. Like I said, you are definitely in the minority and if it works for you then why change. For me when switching to braid sensitivity is way better and having limited stretch is definitely a factor and increased my hookups. For me the cost of the line isn't as big an issue as it is the added sensitivity and reduced stretch i get with braid which helped me to get a higher hookup potential. I am also convinced i am now getting fish that i never would have felt with mono. This may be in my head but i have seen enough people when using braid for the first time remark at how much more they can feel so to me, that is good enough. The fact that braid lasts longer to me is also another factor that is considered but he performance is the kicker for me. If i need a higher stretch application i use a moderate rod instead and it works out very well. The only advantage to mono, to me, is it is cheap which is important because if i used it i would be respelling often as it is a fact that it weakens over time by the sun and by it's absorption of water. I say whatever spools you have, hold on to them becasue you are the lucky one
  8. Mono backing doesn't really matter so 15 or 12 will work for sure. You shouldn't ever get into the backing but if you do, make sure your knot is good lol
  9. Doesn't matter, both are plenty strong. I would go with whichever is cheaper or if you want a little more line on your reel then go with the 50lb.
  10. As a philly sports fan for all of my 37 years on this earth, I would gladly swap out teams winning championships in the city. lol
  11. That does sound good. Every time i make them i always think about just using the leaves for a sauté....i just might have to do it now since i still have some left that i didn't cook
  12. Sherman is a tool but who cares....he talks trash and backs it up. With all the weapons manning has I wouldn't be surprised if they never even throw to where he is. I missed the actual interview but heard it on the radio driving home and it sounded like a boxing weigh in....
  13. Surprised to see the initial lines at Denver giving 2-3 depending where you look.
  14. That is pretty much exactly how we did our sprouts except no bacon....we had enough fatty pork with the ribs we used red onions this time but usually use vidalias but the red onions were pretty good.
  15. Couldn't have said it better myself....
  16. Yeah it seems like there were quite a few really bad calls that went against san fran this game....that fumble, a intentional grounding earlier and then the running into the kicker instead of roughing the kicker call.... San Fran is still alive though....barely
  17. one of the most underrated and poorly prepared vegetables out there....oh and here is the brisket that i finally took off the smoker about 30 minutes ago
  18. #3 I use a spinning set up for all my weightless soft plastics but i do use braid so strength on hook set isn't an issue.
  19. Ribs aren't that bad for you assuming you don't eat them every day...and besides the brussels sprouts made me feel better about eating the ribs
  20. Decided to use my Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker i got for Christmas for the second time and made some ribs and brisket....well the brisket is still cooking and the ribs were pretty darn good especially accompanied by some sautéed brussels sprouts.
  21. The dude at about the 4:10 mark was the best....
  22. Or just buy the rods you want....lol unless i am getting a free rod out of the deal like last year's promo a free hat or t-shirt isn't usually a factor in my buying purchase. Not to mention it is usually a pain having to fill out a form, write a check, who does that anymore, and then mail it off.
  23. I'll agree...their hats are not that good. I have a few and don't wear any of them....especially the Rage ones from last year's promo. Who wants to wear a black hat in the summer, especially one that has that stupid flex fit and the stiffener in the front....
  24. you should get an invoice for purchase. I know some of the promos mention that it must be from an authorized retailer meaning places like ebay are usually out......
  25. Sounds like a good deal to me....you don't have to go to a place you don't like and someone else has to pick up the food. Win win...
