  1. I just checked the seahawks website and right under where it says tickets will be available today at 10am it lists the states where it will accept payments from... http://www.seahawks.com/news/articles/article-1/NFC-Championship-tickets-available-on-Monday/332cc512-bbc5-411a-af9b-8d96ffb0f240 I think this game will be really good though...two stellar matchups on the board for sure.
  2. I am surprised there any tickets left....most places sell out within minutes and then everyone is going to the seocndary market. I know the Nationals did it either last year or the year before last to prevent the Phillies fans from travelling to the game and outnumbering the home team....like normal
  3. i think you have it nailed already as far as the differences go. I will also add depending on your state you will have registration and the associated fees for the boat and trailer and the upkeep of both of those items as well. Kayak upkeep for me involves putting a tarp over it in the winter and taking it off in the spring lol I would also say that you can go more places in a kayak than a jon boat. I am in the same situation sort of as i try and figure out how to take my 3 1/2 year old out in the boat with me fishing. Part of me wants a jon boat but the other part says screw that and put him in the kayak with me and make ti work till he is old enough to paddle on his own...
  4. Well said....i was crushed when Armstrong came out and said pretty much he had to cheat to compete...... And yes, congrats to all those teams and their fans who won this weekend and next weekend is shaping up to a be fun day of football!! Here's hoping for a Denver San Fran Super Bowl
  5. All fishing to me is fun. I haven't fished a formal tourney but i have done all types of fishing and the only one that doesn't really appeal to me is deep sea fishing....maynbe if i was on my own boat, finding the fish i would get more enjoyment but reeling in fish someone else found doesn't do it for me, even though the one tuna i caught was some good sushi at the boat dock
  6. Upstream from trenton it gets dicey even with a jet boat that time of year.....should be interesting to say the least. I may try and make my way up there.
  7. While at this point it is a joke to me but there remains the fact that during the patriots championship run they were confirmed cheaters to the point of major fines and losing of a draft pick. Do i think other teams cheat, of course but that still doesn't make it right and if other teams were confirmed and had penalties given i would feel the same way about them. I really don't hate the patriots but rather Belichick as he was the mastermind behind it all. Combine that with the media overload on how good they are and the patriot way and how players always play better there it is enough to sour me on them....of course the Eagles losing to them in the Super Bowl in the height of spy gate doesn't help either lol If the Eagles cheated at the level of the patriots and won a Super Bowl it would be soured and not valid to me as a fan, while i would still be an Eagles fan, I would not be able to root for them until the coaching staff responsible was run out of town. it's all in good fun and while i am passionate about a lot of things, including sports, it isn't the end of the world when my team wins or loses but it does provide for some scintillating conversation
  8. If you take away the wins acquired by cheating at least the Eagles won at some point.... And actually it was 1960 not 58...i am sure you remember the game
  9. i just hope manning wins this time against brady.......i wouldn't mind seeing a 49ers broncos Super Bowl but really as long as it isn't the cheatriots i am cool with whoever makes it
  10. And the Eagles are definitely that......Tampa Bay they can't win in the cold oh wait they played the Eagles in the last game in veterans stadium and won and the neon the Super Bowl....then the saints, winless on the road...welcome to philly, the city of brotherly love so much that we let you win on the road for the first time!!! oh well, such is life.
  11. Well except for Desean Jackson... http://www.latimes.com/sports/sportsnow/la-sp-sn-eagles-desean-jackson-home-burglary-20140112,0,5843942.story#axzz2qDd3F2AE he probably had to pawn his couch...
  12. I know here in VA while there is a "standard" for harvesting fish it seems like vey few lakes actually fall into that category. The majority have slot limits, minimum sizes etc...based on each body of water.
  13. we made it at least one more week well technically quite a few more since the skins were mathematically eliminated in what, week 8 :D
  14. I love the stereotypes of immigrants since we al know they are the only ones who break limits As far as what regs hurt a fishery I am not a fisheries biologist so i let those that are make the best call using their experience and judgement. I haven't seen any studies about lead and fisheries impact but at the same time we know it isn't healthy for us and many things that once contained lead now don't so I cannot imagine all the lead that is left in the water over years being a good thing but like I mentioned before, i am not an expert on the subject so i will let those that are make the appropriate judgements.
  15. At least when buddy ryan had bounties he came out and said it so i guess it is ok then lol
  16. Should be come on men....I will call them that until Belicheat leaves....
  17. Interesting that two teams won in consecutive weeks by utilizing what was thought to be a non-existent running game; first the saints and now the cheatriots. Hopefully today's games are a little more entertaining and i think this first one absolutely will be a slugfest. I am still amazed that it is already week 2 of the playoffs....seems like i was just watching RGme press conferences on the local richmond news
  18. The Seahawks are not quite as invincible at home as people first though. Whoever wins the Carolina San Fran game will give them everything they can handle.
  19. At least you picked one of the classiest guys in all of sports
  20. His claim to fame other than the earthquake run is how he goes into beast mode....isn't that from that video game altered beast from way back in the day??
  21. The seahawks defense is good and brees isn't good on the road. If the seahawks don't win it all it will not be because of their defense but rather their offense...oh and Lynch, that guy really is a beast. He runs angrier than Petersen.
  22. nice fish!! I wish i had water like that in my backyard. Why the glove?
  23. I like the winter and i like the cold but cold is all relative My favorite thing is i go trout fishing more and it reminds me how much i like fly fishing even though i don't do it as much for largemouth as i should.
  24. no he wasn't...he only did that after he was busted again... Another opinion on the whole arbitration piece... http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/10278552/a-rod-faces-difficult-road-getting-mlb-suspension-overturned-federal-court
  25. Good question. For me anything under 50 is cold water and i adjust techniques accordingly. I also am a firm believer in fishing shallow in the cold because there will be bass there. My largest bass last year was caught in 38 degree water less than 4' deep.
