2 shot club
I am looking to schedule my booster and for my kids ages 5 & 11 to get theirs. I got my second dose one year to the day exactly of when my school went virtual.

Looking at getting one of these Fish Finders on Black Friday
that is flat out incorrect. You adjust your chart speed to your paddle/pedal speed and you are good to go. I get clean images at 1mph or less in my kayak every time out. SI in a kayak is a huge time saver. it allows you to "see" way off to the side without having to paddle over it. I wouldn't get any electronics without some sort of SI capability.

Reels Made in USA
Switch to fly fishing...there are a lot of great fly reels and rods made in the USA

Do you have a preferred pocket knife while on the water?
Gerber river shorty clipped under my seat on my kayak most times. When I anticipate being in a more dicey situation I will strap it to my life vest for easy access. I have pliers and a boomerang snip tool clipped under my seat as well. I rarely if ever use the knife

Working on my next kayak purchase. Hobie
I have had as many as 4 and now down to 1 and looking to get another for river specific journeys. It is all about what you want to spend your money on. I have made a shift to primarily fly fishing and moving water the past few years and that is what is making me want a different boat for rivers, SUP is high on my list.

Bait Monkey Defeated.
I may or may not have bought 3 new fly rod and reels this year but ALL were listed at half price or better......

What's The Hardest Bait/Lure To Fish with?
They are all easy to fish with but not always the easiest to catch fish with. I like fishing all the ones mentioned depending on the situation. Last couple years I have primarily fly fished though and bottom contact type baits are super difficult to fish on a fly rod for a multitude of reasons yet I keep doing it and it does produce.

I found out how some guys are casting 100 yards
This is similar to how people lost a 6lb bass that they never picked up or how their fish seem to not be as large once they get a scale lol 100 yards is a long ways, a real long ways. At least with fly fishing I know how long I am casting pretty accurately because fly lines are generally 100' so if I get into the backing I know I went 100' (rarely needed).

Winter 2021/22
I love the "cold" here in VA. Between low temps and hunting season, the lakes and rivers are pretty much empty.

Help Me Outfit My Bass Fishing Kayak
I didn't like where it was and it seemed like wherever I moved it, it was in the way of something, paddle stroke, landing fish etc... I also noticed much more disturbance when paddling, especially with side imaging than I have mounted in the center and it always seemed to catch grass even when I didn't see any lol

Help Me Outfit My Bass Fishing Kayak
It is totally a preference thing as far as transducer location. I hated having an arm and got rid of it and my last kayak I purchased I made sure had a central electronics pod for mounting everything. That transducer scupper seems really close to the seat but where the scupper is doesn't mean that is where the electronics needs to be. I prefer electronics centrally mounted. It keeps them out of the way and I primarily fly fish and it still works just fine. Ultimately you have enough tracks and locations to figure out what you like and want based on your fishing style.

Hybrid hair spinnerbaits, thoughts
This materials will pulsate but not at spinnerbait speeds. The beauty of fly tying materials is the action when not moving as much. I tie a lot of flies with marabou, rabbit, synthetic hairs etc...and the pulsing action you can get but it isn't as good at high speeds.

How fast can you reel ?
that burst happens in a fraction of the time and distance it takes you to get up to that speed.

Fish Finder For Kayak
Go with the largest screen you can afford and doesn't interfere with you too much up front. SI is a must and a total game changer for kayak fisherman. Once I learned how to read it well, it has saved me a lot of wasted paddling to go check out an area.

Making tiny batch custom stickers. ??
Depending on how many colors, find someone with a Cricut machine and you can make your own pretty easily

Keeping a kit in your vehicle?
Not usually. Not many places I would swing by on my way home and if I was going to, I'd just swing home and then head back out. High heat of a summer car does funny things to some adhesives and it does a real number on line, especially fly lines so it isn't worth it to me.

Do you carry cash?
my score is over 700 as well. I have one card that has a high limit with a zero balance solely for emergencies and another one that I use for pretty much every monthly expense and usually the rewards are enough to cover a big piece of my kid's Christmas presents without me paying a penny of interest. Win Win for me

Do you carry cash?
Rarely if ever have cash and have cash rewards cards that pay me to use them without having any interest since I pay them off. Seems silly to use cash anymore to be honest.

really calm waters..fishing from a SUP?
that and the crescent SUP+ are high on my list. The Voodoo seems a little heavier than I want but not sure just yet. I need to get out to a demo days and try them both. I am pretty stable standing in all of the kayaks I have used and paddled so I am thinking a paddle board hybrid is high up on my list.

really calm waters..fishing from a SUP?
I am looking pretty hard at a hybrid kayak/SUP for next year that I will primarily use as a river boat and have it be motorized. As a fly fisherman the open deck is super appealing to me.

Missing Frog Bites - Me or Bass?
Best advice I was given on frog fishing is to not look at your frog. That way you set the hook on the feel not the visual. I still watch but wait for the feel and not the blow up as hard as it can be.

How would you fix this spool (that was dropped)?
replace it. tolerances are tight and it could cause other damage over time by being even slightly out of whack.

Figuring out the hatch
In every body of water out there a simple motto will always ring true, big fish eat little fish. Matching that hatch exactly isn't always super important, except when it is If you are really wanting to know exactly what those baitfish are, you are going to have to catch some or get close enough to see what they are. Otherwise, keep fishing and trying to figure out what they want.

I feel so un-smart when I speak with an electrician.
My dad is an electrician and I have a healthy respect for it and also can do pretty much anything I need to without worries. While my dad is not physically able to help as much as he used to, I can always call him and send pictures or whatever and he can tell me exactly what to do. We were doing up some lights in my kids room once and he was working and basically he was testing to see if they were live by holding his thumb on the neutral and touching the hot. I was like what are you doing he said it is only gonna go through my hand because that is where it wants to go to get to ground so it isn't that big of a deal. He then said now don't you do it without me here...so I did it and it was a tingle but not bad. He also said if you are ever not sure if a circuit is out just ground it and it will pop the breaker lol What I always get confused with though is when you start getting into 3 and 4 way switches...I always jack those ups at first until I take my time to think it all through lol.

Standing and fishing in a kayak
Depends on the situation but generally I just lean down and grab it. I have sat down when I thought I had a larger fish on and never noticed any leverage advantage to the fish nor can I recall losing a fish when moving from standing to sitting or vice versa.
