What do you want to do with your new set up? That will dictate what type of rod to get more than anything.

While I don't own a PQ2, i have an older version and I wasn't a fan. It was a solid reel but it was pretty heavy which was a downfall for me. I did use it for cranking though because at the time, it was one of the few LH retrieves with a low gear ratio. It was way better than the Kastking i bought about a year ago though.

nah, that unit draws .75ah max so a 16ah would last 9 hours if it was drawing full power the entire time which doesn't happen. my helix draws .65ah and i think i have a 9ah and it runs all day pretty easily.

might want to check with Hobie directly as maybe they offer an upgrade program for people in your situation. I haven't used any of their boats personally but I have heard from a few people I trust that the compass is a good boat.

you can but they aren't that good. The swimming fluke works ok but I prefer a bulkier trailer on mine and will usually use a craw of some sort turned vertical or a solid body paddle tail swimbait.

Just tell her what you are getting and move on. It isn't that complicated really. You deposit the cash and then spend said cash on the items you want to purchase. If you are worried about spending money you saved up that isn't part of the household budget/finances you have much bigger things to worry about than a ticked off wife over some fishing purchases.

Eagles won a game they should win and did so pretty easily. Redskins are still a dumpster fire and the giants have come back to Earth. Next two weeks will probably all but decide the NFC east or at the very least give one team a big advantage. Now on to the sunday and Monday night games.

I honestly don't know why they even make manual versions as it seems to be pointless. I use an automatic myself and only use a standard PFD when it's cold or I am river fishing and the probability of me using it is higher as I am a kayak fisherman.

Browns are only good on paper. Second year of any QB tells a lot since teams have al the tape they need and the time to prepare. They have talent but it will need to all come together for them to win.

Patriots tried to trade for him in March but the steelers wouldn't do it. There are also rumors that AB wanted to go the Pats all along so he may do just fine. Raiders are out zero dollars, AB has already said money isn't even an issue so that isn't why he will go anywhere. Patriots have him on a one year deal for not much cash really so if he sucks or is an issue, it is no big loss. There is no way that there weren't discussions prior to the release with the patriots since they signed him within hours of it happening.

you are probably pulling the main line and not the tag end to tighten, that will make the line curl. Al the other advice given is good too. As I used to tell my clients when I used to be a rock climbing guide....a not neat knot need not be tied.....

6'10"MXF spinning rod (shimano curado currently and a stradic 2000 series reel with 20lb braid with a EWG 4/0 for me. I don't like twist locks as they change the action too much for my liking and takes away from the fluttering action and turns into a more nose down presentation. If I want a little more weight, depending on the plastic type as some float more than others, i go to a superfine type hook and it gets the job done nicely.
