Give me 5 baits that you love that I should try out this year...

There is a seafood restaurant that is along the intercoastal, you can eat on a dock where you can feed stripers French fries and what not... I have tried to fish across the river and they wouldn't hit anything... These fish were conditioned to French fries lol!

My favorite smallmouth spot is in a river with lots of crawfish, so many that I think they get bored of eating them! I have the best luck with any small(3") Rapala...

I am almost 16 and as much as I love fishing, the odds of me becoming a pro angler or something is slim to none... Something that I am thinking about is going to college for business and try to get into marketing and sales, possibly for fishing companies and what not. Summer to fall I love to use Spooks.... Small Ponds and a zara spook last year within two days of eachother...

Soft Plastics!!! CANT HAVE ENOUGH!!!! For ex: I get $100 to BPS for my BDAY... Spend 80% on soft plastics... My aunt gives me $50 to BPS I spend 100% on soft plastics.... I need to buy more jigs and cranks

All I have to say is take everyone's thoughts and really think about what your going to do. This is bassresource not some world of warcraft forum where over half the responses are negative garbage. People are giving you ideas and trying to critique your overall decision on what your going to do with this/these baits... Of course I'm not saying your not taking everyones suggestions into consideration but just remember, why would someone write something on a subject like this unless they were trying to help...

I hear that If you hold a bass over 7 pounds by the lower lip it CAN do damage... Not sure but thats what I have heard, but when I catch a 7pounder I will hold it how I want!

When Surf fishing for stripers lots of birds = lots of bait fish, lots of baitfish = lots of bigger fish that are after the bait... And always be looking up and down the beach to see if anything is going on on the surface... Sometimes if I can't find the fish I will use a topwater bait that splashes a bit or that has sometype of noise that will get a fish's attention and possibly find more than one... ( or sometype of swimming plug with a rattle )...

Id want to stay under $200 but would go to $250...

I have never fished in a tournment and I really want to start taking part in some... My knowledge of fishing tournaments is very slim and would appreciate any tips or tourneys you know about...

The rod I have is a 7' medium Abu Garcia Vengeance... Does the type of fishing I posted above match that of the rod I have? Should this setup be used for a different tper of fishing?

All of my fishing whether it be fresh or saltwater has been with spinning tackle... I want to try a baitcasting setup, I already purchased a rod and don't know what reel I should get. Any suggestions... Lots of my fishing is topwater or weightless soft plastic fishing ( sometimes a bullet weight) If that helps?

Well as far as weightless plastics go Slugos are my favorite, I hook the with the hook exposed... You can either retrieve the bait fast - resulting in an erratic side to side movement on the top of the water....Or.... You can let the bait sink... twitch... retrieve a bit...sink...twitch.... Definatley my favorite and most successful way to catch bass on weightless plastics...

What ever..... It is still an additional $20,000 a year that he doesn't have to work forr, and I think I would be fine with that! I would be fine if I caught a world record and got nothing in addition... -It is indeed a bit bitter sweet though...
