Last fall I was stuck on small fish, after a few posts about how I could produce some bigger bass Shane J said something like" just think big bass, fish like there is a big bass around" Within a week I caught a 4# and my PB 5#11oz... Whenever I go fishing now I play those words in my head... Be confident...

Hey guys, I'll be fishing my first tournament May 9th. I have never fished a tournament and was wondering if anyone could give me some tips/background on tournaments in general...

Forgot to mention, ran into probably 20 or 25 crappie in a 30 minute time span... Most were this size with the occasional one with a bit more length and a hefty gut...

Had a decent day on the water today...

Sweet Nev! My biggest bass this year is under a pound LOL... I need to improve on my "early in the year" bass fishing... ~Definatley going to throw a spinnerbait next time I'm out...

Went out today caught a few pickerel... I was very excited though because I saw a bass in the 5.5-6.5 pound range...

If it's possible try to fish a different spot then if you start producing somewhere else you will have the feel of catching fish... Then go back to the spot that you have been having trouble at.... I would try topwater, maybe you will be able to atleast locate a few fish... ~You will catch fish, the next time you go out pretend its the first time you have been to that spot... Forget about all the days that didn't work out there... ~The fish can taste frustration and they don't like it...

I was just talking with my friend who fly fishes and I told him that he will have a killer year!
