Braid For Drop Shot
I use the gamakatsu ones but sometimes prefer a regular drop shot hook

Braid For Drop Shot
I was planning on using sx1 anyways since I love using the fx2 but can't decide on the lb test between 12 and 16, I want a braid I can use to drop shot on the CA delta as well. Do you know the diameter on the braid compared to mono? Also do you use a swivel to reduce line twist when you use braid or no?

Braid For Drop Shot
What's a good leader length, sorry used to using straight flouro so I'm unsure about leader lengths.

Dropped A Rod And Reel In Water Off A Boat
Yesterday my friend dropped a phenix m1 in the water with a lews tp on it, but phenix rods float. His friend dropped a phenix with a core on it but he got it back since they float.

Geez, I wonder how hard of a time that fish would've had swallowing that and having it come back out.

i caught a 6lb spot this morning and if that wasn't good enough, finding a megabass buzz bait in its mouth was even better. sorry no pics of the fish since i had no phone but here's the bait. I feel bad for the guy that lost the fish and the expensive lure too.- Delete
I waited 9 months for my spro phat flies on back order- Shimano Calcutta D Or Daiwa Td Luna For Swimbaits?
I'm leaning towards the Calcutta but I dislike how you have to take the reel apart to look at the centrifugals. Why do decisions have to be so difficult?- Show off your Stuff
I would but I strictly use dobyns rods- Show off your Stuff
That rod is a nice one, one of my friends is on their prp staff and I got to feel it- Show off your Stuff
that's like me putting my shimano cores on an ugly stick let's see what reel you actually pair with that rod- Shimano Calcutta D Or Daiwa Td Luna For Swimbaits?
Okay so I have a $400 limit to spend on a new swimbait reel to put on my dobyns swimbait rod. Debating on a daiwa luna with a hawgtech 102 mm or a Calcutta D and wait like a year to put a hawgtech on it. How do these reels compare to each other? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Ps. If I do get a Calcutta, should I get a 200 or 300 size. I'll be throwing baits like the a rig, hudds bouncing on the bottom and jointed swimbaits like the river2sea s waver on 80lb braid- Fluro+Lost Lures=Money Wasted
Only time I've lost something on flouro is if I snag rocks and trees. Try using a better knot or better flouro. Except once when my back cast snagged my partners line and snapped my brand new storm arashi off on 15lb invisx but that was my error. I'm probably the first one to lose one on the Cali delta since it was a a little over a month ago- Trying To Find A 7' Light Power Spinning Rod
I believe dobyns makes a champion and champion extreme 701. 7 foot light action- Us Open Mead
I'd also like to know if anyone has. I may fish it as an amateur next year- How Can A Young Gun Get Started?
Join local bass clubs and try to spend a lot of time on the water. I usually spend 1-3 days a week fishing. Also don't forget to pre fish a tournament even if you know the body well. Don't know if this is helpful. I'm a bit confused on you wanting to get into a tourney. As in a high school tournament or a local bass club one? - Found This In A Fish's Mouth.
