I have an amazing punch setup worth a try, it's the dobyns 766flip and a lews bb1 reel

the dobyns line is amazing but the savvy is the low end one and does feel fairly sensitive to me but its a dead feeling compared to their high end ones like the champ and champ extreme

Lews by far, I have the lews tp and love it and I've fished the stx as well and I'd pick the lews any day

I personally lift my tip very slightly, as for angle and line I couldn't tell you I just side arm it and skip it on the water, if you know how to flip you can also go up to docks pretty closely, flip it and hit the bottom of the dock and the bait will flip under a few feet or so, sorry if this isn't too helpful, it's hard for me to explain.

Pitch or cast side arm, aim to hit the water closer to you than directly hit your target and using plastics works better for me than jigs, btw its hard to explain without showing in person, it's like skipping a rock

I see it all the time, once actually I was fishing a tournament and some guy fun fishing asked me how I did and I replied that I caught two 5lbers and he looked in disbelief until I pulled them out of the live well, his facial expression was priceless!!!

Oh yeah San Antonio has monster smallmouth ans some good striper, nacimento spotted bass look very sick like they're diseased, they are all just skin and bones

Okay, so here's my situation, I was at the delta today fishing Mildred island and I had seen a good 20+ bass over 5lbs and 3 over 10 lbs cruising the shoreline. There were males on nests as well but these were the large females cruising around that we're uncatchable, the water was clear with a heavily weeded bottom along with tules on the shore, how would I catch these large bass, I threw a spinnerbait,jigs,reapers,chatter baits, etc. with out any bites, I had no problem catching males schooling around and a 6lb male on a bed but no females. Also there was a full moon if that had anything to do with it. I'm going to be going back tomorrow and it would be very helpful if I could receive a few answers tonight, thanks.

Go take a trip to tw instead, I think Lopez lake is near, amazing bass fishing there

hell yeah it was, even better I caught him on 6 lb test and a ul rod

Definitely not cheating but much easier, I had one evening in the fall that I caught 9 bass that were all well over 4 lbs a piece the largest being 7lbs, they were all caught within a 30 min window, all on a super spook, gotta love Florida strain bass in Cali, oh and I've caught monster bluegill at those ponds, usually they range from 1/2-11/2 lbs but my PB there is 3lbs

IMO the hardest fighter is a smallmouth followed by spots, then you have largemouth that I find to be a fairly lazy fish when it comes to fighting, even one over 4 lbs seem to just go straight down. Oh and I find that white bass are the best fighters of them all, I had a 16 incher on and it fought like a 6lb bass

hold a dobyns they're amazing, I have bought 3 champions, a champ extreme and a savvy this year, I like them significantly better than shimano crucial, st croix ltb, loomis rods besides the nrx,phenix rods and pretty much everything out there, I have a serious addiction to buying those rods and I have 5 of them and I'm only 15
