Missile Baits "The 48"
Saw them at the Doswell VA fishing show last year, John Crews was demonstrating them and was getting bit when he tossing these out. They fish didn't even blink at anything else... I haven't picked any up yet, but have had my eye on them since that show... Will definitely be grabbing some now.

A better question is where did he get that sweet red pedestal accessory?

Taking on water question.
Called BPS today and they said any leak will be covered under warranty, but to first try out a different plug to make sure it isn't leaking there. A possible $5 fix will save everyone a bit of a headache...

Taking on water question.

Taking on water question.
Took my year old Tracker 190 out this week, and after about 6 hours on an electric only lake (so no back splashing at all) I turned my bilge pump on and it ran for 7 minutes straight with a strong stream. I don't know the gallons per minute rate of the pump, but even so, this seems like way too much water in my bilge. Or am I just being paranoid?

Watch what happens when lighting hits water!
LOL, I don't think that's really a lightning strike. To me it looks more like a demolition video breaking up a logjam or something, not lightning.

Legendary bait pics
This LC RC 1.5 is my Legendary Bait. I have hundreds of bass on this bait. I've gone swimming after hanging this bait up. Once waded in up to my waist in the Shenendoah at Thanksgiving weekend to retrieve it.

Please identify this buzzbait
The only spinnerbaits or buzzbaits I know of with a closed line tie like that are the Walmart $1 baits.

Live target lures
I love the Live Target Field Mouse, it is one of my favorite top waters. Also love their hollow bodied frogs, I prefer them over any other that I've tried... That said, as much as I love the aforementioned baits, I absolutely hate the hollow bodied bluegill. It looks and feels like a bath tub toy. It's in my 'ebay box' to see over the winter. Their crank baits are meh. There aren't any I'd really recommend. I like the idea of the bait ball, but haven't bought any... I bought one of their soft plastic threadfin shad swimbaits, but haven't tried it yet though...

- Good swimbaits
I haven't had luck with any swimbaits. Hard, soft, hollow, whatever. That hasn't stopped me from buying a ton of the d**n things... I just got a couple of packs of Yamamoto Heart Tails, they look awesome, and don't feel as fragile as a senko... I can't wait to throw one for half a day and not get a single bite. PS - I know the prob is me - I'm not patient, I swim them too fast, or don't use them at the right times.- How often is your SK 2.5 used over the 1.5
I use the 1.5 almost all of the time, but due to this thread, I'm gonna start throwing that 2.5... I would like SK to make a 2.0. Lucky craft had some RC and RTO 2.0s and man that was a great bait.- Using Hydrospan to enlarge baits
Hmmmm. It's strictly for baits, yes? Um, asking for a friend...- Engine Oil Questions
I am going to run the h*** out of it this summer though.- Engine Oil Questions
Good to hear. I'll just run with a jug of oil in a storage bin until I get close. Thanks!- Engine Oil Questions
I have an Optimax ProXS 115 DFI 2-Stroke, got it new last year. Since I was learning I kept to electric only lakes mostly and as a result I ran the motor only 4 times (one of which was in the BPS garage on clamshells...). I still have more than half of the oil reservoir full of the oil the motor came with. The recommended oil in the owners manual is Mercury DFI Oil (with Quicksilver TWC3 oil as an acceptable solution if the DFI is not available). I ordered the DFI from amazon, and was about to top off the reservoir and have come to the problem, maybe... The existing oil is blueish/dark green, the DFI is brownish. Looks like the motor came from BPS filled with TWC3. I want to use the preferred oil. So, to my questions: Should I avoid mixing these two oils? Should I run the TWC3 down as far as I dare to before putting the DFI oil in? Or should I have it completely flushed and start using the DFI oil exclusively? Or should I just keep using the TWC3 and not worry about it? Thanks in advance!- Where did certain color originate?
Both are found in nature. Crawfish, sunfish, shad, dragonflies, etc. Even strange colors like pink, which some say matches albinism.- Lost Lure Memorial Thread
At the end of last summer I lost my favorite spinner bait. It was a beater of a Booyah spinnerbait with a green and white skirt. I laid it in something that stained half the strands of the skirt this mottled redish-pinkish color. The blades were dull as hell and the wire was pretty kinked up. I must've caught two hundred fish on it, and would've caught two hundred more but for that one day I heard that dreaded snap of line as I bird-nested my reel. I watched it sail away to plunk down into the water with about fifteen feet of mono, which I could see floating on the surface for a few seconds, but was rapidly disappearing underwater inch by inch... I was able to paddle over to where she sank, but not quickly enough to grab the mono as it was dragged under... I tried to snag that line with a DT10 with a couple of split shot on it to reach the bottom for like an hour, to no avail... Man, I miss that bait. I often catch myself rummaging around in my spinner-bait box looking for it before realizing its gone. Then the pain hits me again lol...- Retirement boat suggestions
The Tracker Super Guide V-16 SC is a good option. Deep V, so the gunnels are higher than a bass boat, and not that much different in price/power than the Panfisher. The V16 might be a better ride and feel more stable for you mom... - Good swimbaits
