Havok Devil Spear
Got my hands on some today at Dick's. They look great, bigger and thicker than I thought, which is good. I am concerned that they will break easily at the tapered part, it is very thin there. Also picked up a few bags of the pit boss, they look promising, but no different really, from typical beaver baits.

Grass Pig
I like what I see so far from the Havok line. Can't wait till Gander gets some of these in...

Yum Fat Money Minnow
I bought a bunch from walmart on clearance, and had them out this weekend, mine swam fine on a keel weighted hook too. Hooligan: I would like to know where exactly to cut them to get more action though. Do you cut a notch or sort of 'plane' some of the plastic away?

Your Go To Crank
Either RC1.5 in Blue back/chartreuse or Megabass Griffon in Crack Jungle color or Bandit 100 Chart/Pearl... Hard to pick just one.

Rapala Sureset Hooks
I bought a bunch of Rapalas at Gander on sale, but all of them have these idiotic looking Sureset hooks in both red and nickel plated. I hate red hooks as it is, and these feel week and look like they would get the bait hung up, so I am thinking of changing them out. Are they any good? I read on here somewhere (can't find it now...) that they injure the fish.

Lucky Craft Sale!!
Might have to call in sick to work now... Thanks for the excuse!!

Biodegradable Baits?!?!
Everything is biodegradable. Some stuff just takes a lot longer...

looking for original powerbait bluefleck lizard with triangle back
I ran out of mine last year. Check ebay, maybe they'll have something...

Matzuo Hardbaits
They used to make some really excellent spinnerbaits, but don't anymore. I have had bad experiences with every crankbait I've ever bought from them, from peeling paint to cracking bodies to bad hooks to untunable. I sold them off on ebay years ago. Never tried the jerkbaits though.

Pond Scenario-Why don't the bass get any bigger?
If none of this other stuff works, shoot the otters.

Terminator Spinnerbaits discontinued?
Gander has a ton of terminators in the bargin bins at $3 each. They just had to make room for the new terminators in different packaging.

To paint a crankbait or not?
Mine work in stained water.

finesse tactics
Lunker City Helgies. You can order them from their website. Haven't seen them in stores for ages. I found a huge stash of them in my basement, I can't wait to put them to work this year.

Sworming Hornet Fish Head
I have them, they are very nice, easy to use and stronger than they look. I don't dropshot much, but when I do it's mostly with these.

Plano KVD tackle bag
You also have to buy and use the bag, but keep three bags of other manufactures filled with baits but never ever let anyone see them and never admit to using them.

Flat vs. Gloss Finish on Crankbaits
They were probably wooden baits hanging in his truck. A lot of old timers believe that when a crank absorbs the heat it changes the action of the bait and the heat also makes the fish think the bait is something other than a chunk of wood. Read this in bassmasters years ago...

Fluoro Advice
Ha! Maybe since I tried it four or five years ago it was a problem with me and not the line. Sounds like I'll give the ol' Yo Zuri another try. Will also pick up the BPS brand next time I'm there.

Berkley Havok - Spear
That looks pretty good to me. I'd buy a couple of bags. I really like the look of the Havoc fat craw.

Fluoro Advice
I am good (not great) with a baitcaster, and feel that due to pressure on my home lakes I need to make a switch. Rather than going to thinner mono I want to try something that is less visible to the fish and still strong. I've read about the many advantages of fluorocarbon and have finally decided to dabble again after a disastrous experiment with Yo Zuri Hybrid line a few years ago I tried the Hybrid line when I was new to using baitcasters so that probably led to some of my difficulties. I am looking for some good fluorocarbon line for a fluoro newbie'. Something easy to work with, easy to cast. I don't care if I have to spend an extra few bucks since the line should last me most of the season - I don't get out as much as I'd like to Any recommendations/advice?

Plano KVD tackle bag
If it has KVD on the label then as a fisherman you are morally obligated to buy three.

Need a good worm rod...
Good deal on that Avid. I went to Gander today and they didn't have any of the rod suggestions you guys talked about. I narrowed it down to either a St Croix Premier MHF 6'8" (which I have one of already), A Skeet Reese Honeycomb (Senko/Toad 7'0") or the new Abu Veritas (HF 7'0"). I bugged the old feller at the store by constantly switching my reel and a jig on about two dozen different rods to help me decide. I almost decided on the Skeet Reese Honeycomb rod which felt great. Since I already have the St Croix I didn't want to duplicate the rig I already had and wanted to diversify a little. So I ended up with the Veritas, it just felt the best. Thanks for all of the responses!!

So whats with the Risto Rap from Rapala?
Discontinued I believe. I have a few, they are OK. Not better than the DTs.

Need a good worm rod...
Thanks guys, I have a lot of choices... Can't wait to get my hands on some of these... I'm gonna bring my reel to the store and tie on a lure and test each one before finally deciding.
