Yesterday I had 4 anglers in the top 35 and 1 in the top 10 . Today, 2 guys in the top 35 and 0 in the top 20 .

Make sure the gap is at least twice the size as the thickness of the worm and you will be all right .I try to get it as close as I can to twice the thickness and if I feel the need for a heavier wire then I'll go up a size .

It sucks that bad things happen to good people .

I thought that resembled an old strike king bait . Google Syrike king Psycho Scout .

Its shaped like a foot and there where the arch would be , the pads stick out a little farther, maybe indicating a slight point there . A little structure might be the place to spend a little more time .

When I'm worm fishing I watch my line intently and go by feel . My worm rod is spooled with clear blue fluorescent .

I actually watched this video a year ago and commented on one of your other videos about your back-hand casting . It steered me in the right direction .

Basstrac wont be worth a hoot today . I just watched the takeoff and a whole bunch of boats didnt have marshals . It looks like half the field dont have them .

I worked on it a lot last year and made some progress but still pretty much stunk . I went out a couple of days ago for the first time this year and I dont know how but I was making those cast consistently and effortlessly , didnt even have to give it any thought . Throwing a spinnerbait on a 7 foot med action casting rod . The accuracy should only get better from here on .

Berkely Dredger's have a tight action .The 10.5 hits ten foot , the 14.5 will dig bottom at 10 foot using 12 lb mono Big Game .

At one time I had a light /temp probe that I purchased from BPS . Every-time I lowered it in the water the temp and light would drop drastically at the thermocline . The instructions read that the o2 would also drop at that depth . It was a handy piece of electronic equipment that I would like to see become available again .

Rick Clunn recently made a statement that he didnt fish for big bass and look where it got him . I dont even know how to fish for big bass , I fish high percentage spots and catch numbers with kicker thrown in . If I was to put an x on every spot i caught 5 lb plus bass at the lake I frequent there would be x's all over it .

Caught several bass one autumn day 40 foot on a submerged highway . Havent caught a bass there since .

It depends on the water I'm fishing .I would have kept a limit yesterday but the cleaning station wasnt open yet . Bass are a renewable resource after all and 100 per cent of them are going to die . On a lot of waters if the population is not kept in check , then we end up with a lake full of stunted fish . A few years back the Missouri Conservation dept set a 12 fish limit and no length limit on a lake because they needed to thin the bass population out. I did my part to bring that lake back .

I'm 61 and better fisherman now then when I was at thirty but intolerance to heat , low blood sugar , arthritic ankle that makes it difficult to keep my balance standing so I have had to sit for the past two years , tendinitis , back pain .I've also had some major illnesses and injuries that kept me on the sidelines for months at a time . My hats off to Clunn , Fritz and the rest . Three and four day tourneys would not be a cakewalk .

Some days bass are on points like the mouths of coves , the end of trees ... Today they were in the coves and coves within coves . Once I figured out the pattern it was easy fishing .

My first time out this year . Great day , high 70's and light wind . Water 1 foot visibility . surface temp 57 in the morning and mid 60's in the afternoon . Caught 58 bass on a spinnerbait . Around a dozen over 15 inches with this five pounder the biggest .

My guide is the cover or structure I'm fishing . When encountering wood use lures that fish through wood well . Same with vegetation , rock ... If there is sparse cover use lures that will cover water efficiently until you hit cover . What do you usually encounter on a typical day ?

Clunn has the big win earlier this year but the majority of the time he finishes near the bottom .

I use swivels , parasite clips and strips of bicycle inner-tube . They all work the same .

No , but I do get those looks when I say I like to carp fish . I have friends who are into crappie and when they show me pictures I like to reply how "cute" they are . LOL
