What scales are they using to weigh the bass ? It appears to me he sticks with what was working and doesnt adjust . I just got a chance to pause the screen . The scales are Brecknell Electro Samson Scale .

Picking Quinten Cappo may have been the dumbest pick I have made . But he stated he was looking forward to this tourney, so i interpreted that as meaning he has done well here . Now i think he meant hes never fished it before and looking forward to it .

The Mississippi has been in flood stage for over a month . The levees are saturated and the river is expected to crest today . Starting monday another wave of rain is suppose to hit .

Last year, instead of a skirt I glued Yum Money Minnows on my D-It molds buzzbait's and loved it . The lure cast further and retrieved slower .It caught loads of bass and had a very high hook-up ratio . I use a trailer hook most of the time . I use the stair-step design like on the Cavitron that allows the lure to set a little deeper in the water . I cant scientifically prove that it helps to get more hook-ups but it sure seems to . Heres a well chewed Money Minnow buzzbait .

I dont know how many feet I can pitch , I never measured it and am bad at guessing . I pitch pretty well from a raised platform . Problem is I fish from a jon boat a lot and the gunwales get in the way . On my wifes 22 foot deck boat there are rails in the way .So , I just dont pitch much anymore .

Since I started playing fantasy fishing I noticed that Chris doesnt finish well . He gets off to tremendous starts sometimes .I have him too .

I like lizards . The old skinny Bass Pro Squrimin Liz worked well for me .

I use a Leatherman with the diamond file . Its a superb hook sharpener . Just a couple of licks usually gets the hook thumbnail sticking sharp . Plus it has the pliers and knife . I dont fish without it .

water temps in the morning are different than the afternoons , so I dont know what temps they move out deeper . I fish by elimination . If they are done spawning I first look for the mouths of coves or cover near spawning areas . Then go out on deeper points .

Right now , in my area they are killing the crappies on the bank . Facebook is full of limits of slabs and smiling faces .

When crappie are shallow Beetle Spins tear them up .

If the bass have the shad corralled and are in a feeding frenzy lots of lures already mentioned will work . If the shad are in the cove by the millions and bass are occasionally seen hitting the surface , those are hard to catch . In that case I ignore the shad and fish like they are not there .

3 hooks not jointed ,but I dont know if they are the 3/8 or 1/2 . I'll have to check later

I have caught more Hawgs by twitching a Bomber Long A Minnow on top , than poppers and Walkers combined .

I googled highsplint lake and its just a small bowl shaped lake . How many acres ? Twenty ? Its six acres .

I very seldom have fished crankbaits from shore . The places I fish there are better choices .

It might be worth going back to , you will never know unless you try . On Mark Twain lake one year a major arm had a fish kill before the biggest tournament of the year . Anglers avoided that area like the plague . Friends of mine went up there and won that tourney .

Not if you want to catch fish . I dont recommend trying to force feed fish . Where are you fishing ? Are you in a boat or shore bound ?
