When to use Jigs and When to use Plastics?
I use to fish jigs a lot more than I do now . They catch bigger than average fish . Now I use a worm mostly because of the numbers they catch . If I get on a good worm bite then I "might" try a jig for a chance to catch a bigger fish . Its a personal preference .

Why were they there?
It happens often in a small lake i fish . I think on this particular lake they are relating to shad . Catch numerous fish from a featureless spot then nothing there again.

OK , i'm change my crankbait for a jig to keep WRB happy . I might not be able to use the crank anyhow because vegetation has been making a comeback .

Fishing the full moon at night
Most of the articles that I have read recommend fishing on a new moon .That hasnt worked great for me . It could be that I am more comfortable on bright nights and fish better . In any case full moons have been best for me .

Anti-fog treatment for sunglasses?
I had a jar of green stuff that worked pretty good . It was a long time ago . There was a man at one of the stores demonstrating it , snake oil salesman . It was in paste form.

Most Annoying Things while Fishing
My cousin lost a nice bass trying to flip it in . It cost us first place . We netted every bass after that .

Fishing the full moon at night
Are you fishing clear or stained water ? I tried other moon phases and have not done as well . I'm fishing heavily stained water . The day before the full moon the moon will be out earlier .The day after it will be out later . I prefer the day before .

Fishing the full moon at night
Weather permitting I will be fishing the full moon next weekend . If you look at the calendar it will be listed on July 9th . Thats in the AM. If you want to fish it , go on the evening of the 8th . I have my best luck when the moon is high and bright all night and that will be this Saturday evening and Sunday morning . If the bass are cooperating, big ones will be cruising the shallow flats . If its going to be cloudy or stormy then I will try the night before or after . My big four lures for a brightly lit night are soft plastics , buzzbaits , crankbait , and spinnerbait . These four precisely will be tied on . Its not unusual for the bass to stop biting around 9:30 -10:00 then pick up an hour or two later .

Old(ish) fishing ad's...
Manns had a lipless crankbait that was wide and no sharp corners , I'm guessing three times wider than a trap . I remember it had good action but I lost it early on . Cant recall catching anything with it . Its at the topof the page of Whitwolfs post . One of the coolest looking baits ever .

What's you're favorite flipping bait
- Bass caught in pond ... look what's in the gullet!
- Bass fishing firsts this year
I've only had that happen once and it was at night on a buzzbait . He exploded all over that lure . I thought i had a double digit bass .- Most Annoying Things while Fishing
LOL you're not the only one .- Big Worms
I have never had a lot of luck with the big worms . The only exception was some larger fliptails years ago .- Questions about soft plastics and jigs
I'll usually use a 5/16th ounce weight on a six inch worm the most such as a Miter Twister Phenom or jelly worm . Its fast and effective . If that doesnt work then I can go lighter and slow down but I'll stick with the heavyer weight for a long time .- Old(ish) fishing ad's...

6 inch worm .- Top water buzz bait?
