  1. I'm glad I am in the know about this because I am awful gullible .
  2. Some Leatherman multi tools have a diamond file that sharpen hooks real well . I dont go fishing without mine . I can even sharpen trebel hooks with it by pressing down and sharpening two tines at once .
  3. The colder climate guys are going to give a different answer than the warmer climate guys .
  4. This time of year ,afternoon .
  5. I posted Deep Little N but its more of a 8 to 10 foot lure for me . 10 to 12 I've been using the Rapala CR14 Crankin Rap quite a bit . It was probably my number one diving bait last year .
  6. I actually googled that , to see what kind of lure it was .
  7. Maybe Clunn was late .
  8. Norman Deep Little N .
  9. 1 , 6 , 48 , 57 , 63 It appears Rick Clunn didnt even bother to weigh in .
  10. Cousin and I won a Buddy a tourney anchored for two days on a windy point . Strong north wind , we fished t-rigged lizards around the 18 foot mark . Casting into and against the wind , keeping the rod's low .
  11. I hold the rod in front of the reel with the line between my index finger and thumb . When I get a nice hook set the braid cuts my finger . I'm not changing the way I fish so braid had to go .
  12. Study maps if available . If its a small lake look at it on google maps .When I get to the lake I take a general impression then go fishing . Does it look high , low , clear , muddy , weedy , barren , Rock , wood , steepbanks , tapering banks , calm , windy, cloudy , sunny , temperature , season , gulls , ...
  13. My old Manns buoy's have a slot to keep the line secure. A few times I would have the line in there and not know it . Toss the buoy and it unwinds some before catching then it slowly floats away . I know something is not right when my bait keeps sinking and sinking ...
  14. 3 , 10 , 19 , 35 , 66
  15. I never used buoys in a river . Use them at lest half the time in lakes . If the current is strong I think the buoys would completely unwind . Has that ever happened to you ?
  16. The wind usually brings a stronger shallow bite but if your boat cant handle it , head for protected banks . When I'm fishing from a john boat with a hand controlled motor i cant handle wind over about 15 MPH for any length of time . My Lowe can handle 20 MPH easily but it gets pushed around a lot because of the high sides .
  17. My goal is the same as last year. Improve on deciphering sonar . I would say get better at backhand casting , but if I havent learned it by now I never will .
  18. Its early but my picks look a lot better than the first tourney .Tim Horton is leading and still has a fish to go for a limit and three others in the top 50 .
  19. Bass lay thousands of eggs for a reason .To insure the survival of the species . Changing water levels can have a big impact . I'm not concerned about fishing pressure too much .
  20. A: Wiggins B: Swindle C: Hackney D: Howell E: Horton
  21. I do a lot of fishing from a flat bottom aluminum boat . When the Red Eye Shad is falling I can hear it going tic, tic tic...
  22. I just checked my team and it is blank . I wonder if I failed to confirm or something .
  23. I just bought a Dredger in every size , all Fire tiger .
  24. They will bed on stumps too .
