  1. I fish jigs exactly like Texas rigs .
  2. I have an older Bagley honey B that caught lots of bass . The paint is off half of it so I bought a new one . The new one doesnt have the same action . Its in the junk box .
  3. I know a lot of people with real nice boats and gear but not much fishing experience . Sometimes they just dont know any better . In a large tournament I marked a river channel with buoys . I caught two keepers then before long two competing boats stop and start fishing my markers . There was one on each buoy .
  4. Youre in Georgia not Missouri . The bass grow bigger there . I would stick with what I know and just go fishing .
  5. I generally use spinnerbaits as is . Rarely use a trailer or trailer hook . On a light weight spinner I may use a trailer for added weight {half a stickworm} . On buzzbaits I use trailer hooks about half the time .
  6. Crankbaits are one of my last choices to fish from bank because its just a matter of time before its lost . I lost my favorite vintage Bayou Boogies last year . That was painful .From now on I'm using my least desirable lipless baits . I like to use inexpensive pre-rigged swim baits . I have some with rattling eyes , they are the best I have used .
  7. Very entertaining video . I wanted him to catch that burbot . Ive never seen one .
  8. I use whatever comes on the lure . Snaps make it easy to change lures but I dont retie often enough anyway . If I'm changing lures its usually past time to check the line and retie .
  9. I just keep plugging away at numbers and luck into big ones . The more I catch the luckier I get .
  10. I have swam Arkie jigs along bluffs but I have never fished a swim jig . Is there really a difference ?
  11. Similar incidents happened to me a few times . Fish long enough , its inevitable .
  12. I like lipless baits from bank . That way they can follow the contour from deep water all the way to the bank . 100 percent coverage .
  13. Join a lure collectors forum . Post the lures and ask for appraisals . You will probably get offers . I did that with an old bicycle and got 400 dollars .
  14. I tend to make my presence stealthy .I wouldnt buy a colorful boat unless it was a heck of a deal . That said my boat is white . I got what was available and my wife wanted it .
  15. I wouldnt do any of the ones listed , never have before . I'm not into finesse . I would go with a smaller texas rig .
  16. The rear trebel on these lures dont stick out the very back , they are on the bottom like the Wiggle Wart . Rapala bought Storm? Were these originally a Storm design ?
  17. Theres a mucky enclosed bay near me with a good bass population . Its filled in from farm fields so bad that its impossible to walk in it . The mud will suck the shoes right off your feet . The bass find somewhere to spawn . I'm guessing on laydowns and trash .
  18. Does this work on the Ribbit ? I bought some but havent used one yet ....and what size ?
  19. My last day at Mark Twain last November , I limited out on the shallow diver . Two years ago my two biggest fish of the year came on a red shallow diver on a full moonlit night .
  20. So are youbuying them up ? I use them a lot . Shallow diving to the CR14 . I'd like to find some on clearance . I would stock up . The CR14 caught a couple hundred fish or so for me last year . They dive quick , great lures to use on points .
  21. When moving from spot to spot I blast Ride of the Valkyrie .
  22. I have enough lures to easily last me the rest of my life . But I still purchase new lures if I feel they will fill a niche . Red Eye Shad for example . I have plenty of other lipless baits , but when I read the RES shimmys on the drop I had to try them .This winter its the Berkely Dredger that I had to get .
  23. I dont listen to music . I will listen to a baseball game .
  24. What are you , a perch jerker ?
